Mackay Cancells Imam's Speech due to "Extremism"
Alta4ever replied to nicky10013's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
I read it, it was garbage, utter opinionated drivel. I am surprised the author used the term broke middle class, when he clearly wanted to use proletariat. -

IF INDUSTRY IS REGULATED BY GOVERNMENT IT IS NO LONGER LAISSEZ FAIR CAPITALISM. So please point me to a document that shows the tea party is advocating the removal of ALL government regulation over industry. -

Right so if it embraces Marxist ideals only manages to progress society so far towards the pure system, you are going to tell us well really they weren't maxrists because they couldn't pull it off? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tea_Party_movement Now I don't know what you see but I can tell you what isn't there. I am reading nothing that shows the tea party movement of being one that wants to move to a pure capitalist laissez faire fair society. I think they have a much better grasp on how the world works then you. -

Incorrect one would not argue that countries like China and the USSR were aberrations of marxism. It was that these countries were unable to move beyond the socio economic conflict period of socialism as defined by Marx; Socialism: workers gain class consciousness, and via proletarian revolution depose the capitalist dictatorship of the bourgeoisie, replacing it in turn with dictatorship of the proletariat through which the socialization of the means of production can be realized. -

Its nasty, hotel taxes were nasty I felt gouged when ever I purchased anything. I won't be back anytime soon, if I want to go to the west coast I'll go to Washington and by pass BC.
-
Nicky the problem with the HST in BC is that many more items now are taxable that were exempt under the pst. Its made things very expense and those who can are crossing the boarder to washington to shop rather then pay the outrageous costs in the vancouver area. When I was their over the summer gas in vancouver was 1.18/liter when i bought it in washington it worked out to .78/per liter. with people crossing the boarder to do their shopping it will end up costing jobs.

I don't know what world your living on, but on this one the chretien liberals did not rid the country of trudeau and mulroony's debt, they just paid some of it down.

Bill C-308 (Unemployment Insurance)
Alta4ever replied to scribblet's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
basic math how about the difference before the recession 7.87% and during the worst of the recession 9.99% the unemployment rate moved just 2.12%. You are dishonestly proposing that before the recession there was no one with out work. So by your population figures those with out work rose by about 112,000 in an area of 5.6 million. But if we use real labour force numbers those numbers decline again the labour force in the GTA is about 4.5million 4.5*0.0212= 94,500 (btw stats can numbers on the labour force and unemployment rate for toronto). As for the torontojobs.ca 50 results per page x 387 pages of results = 19350 Don't like that one here's Kijiji Current Matches (23897) http://toronto.kijiji.ca/f-jobs-W0QQCatIdZ45 I don't think it calls for drastically reducing the number of hours needed to claim EI -

And I told you that was where the website quit counting, it showed on the main page 5000+. On the Torontojobs.ca site their are over 19,000 listings. Working.com 13,390. Workopolis.ca 8413. I am not searching the GTA just toronto. There is work, someone that can't earnestly find anything is not looking, or isn't willing to accept what is available. -

Who's digging, black holes contribute gravity. Still waiting to hear how you proved me wrong. When we were arguing about the population of toronto oh ya we weren't. -
