  1. MSI of course we are talking about deduction that reduce the tax to nothing. You many waste our time with tax return line numbers but what it all boils down to is the final number after deductions is tax payable = zero. But what the thread is inferring is that these same people do this year after year and that is just not so. Since this is also impling it as a person it is not a business tax return but personal. There are many businesses that will have very high incomes and after deductions will have no taxable income left, and yes this can happen year after year. But Revenue Canada would have a problem with that, unless it is a charitable company or non-profit organization. These will continuously have zero income tax payable. For persoanl taxes though also can include business ort investment losses and yes they will lower or even wipeout the tax payable, but not year after year. So when a salaried employee make $250,000.00 per year he may well have some investment losses, but not such to bring this salary to zero payable year after year. He will have years where investments were on thre positive side annd yaxes would then be higher then what the norm for his salary. I know this becaus eI had issues with CCRA and they did everything to say that I could not use my losses to lower my salary. Once I got a lawyer and not an accountant to go after this, it was then garnted but it still cost me thousands of dollars for the lawyer to fight this. So believe me, there are not too many people who can do this, without any costs. I still ask Jennie to show me where anyone has lowered his salary to zero payable over a five year period. That period still would allow for invetment losses claimed over that time frame.
  2. I have my stories straight. You think I am talking about these legions dieing quickly and I am saying no they first suffer from the affects of painful urination and frequent urinary infections. Then if they want to be cured, at that time it required them to be infected by a high fever illness that would take days to work and small risk of death. If they do not get cured they will then bring home to wife and family etc etc . There were no cures other then high fever at this time. This would affect the legions and yes while it may not stop them, it was designed to harm them. You take exception to this because you think that due to religious ideals that these woman would be scourged by the main stream population, and yes they were of course. That same dumb reasoning is why they still stone a girl who gets raped in some countries, and yes the jews of that time were slaves of the Rome, and Rome could not care one bit about the religious values they had. They were their playthings, and nothing more. They only extists at the will of Rome. But hey you do not find the jewish people using this to highlight their lives. Of course these were dark times. I really did not think that I will have to prove this but I will take some time and prove this. But I will have to wait and speak to a jewish religious scholar friend, as we have talked about this before, and he being and ex-rabbi and religious scholar is far more informed then me as to where I can find proof of this, but I will get back to you on this.
  3. Jennie show me one person who is in that tax bracket that has never paid taxes. As I said earlier that this story was wrong because those who may have a year or two with no tax would then have years with huge tax payments. Most would pay more tax in a year then you pay in a life time. So show me just one who has never paid taxes period.
  4. M,Dancer You never seemed niauve before, but it is not that these women would have a say one way or another. The Jews were slaves and there was no Temple Rules that could be enforced. We are not talking Geneva convention times here. Jewish women were used toi service the Roman legions every day and night in those days. To refuse was death. Once women were infected, yes they willingly went to exact revenge on as many as they could. But if you think for even a second that Temple rules and social cast, had anything to do with this, you are completely off base.
  5. These were in the times where romans were seiging the cities of Israel. In those days the only cure for Syphillis was to infect the person with something giving very high fever. This also could have killed the person but it was not a large chance of it doing so. The Roman soldiers had to suffer the painful urinations and if left alone possible insanity. Syphillis has been used not only then but throughout the centuries as a weapon. Even in the wars before penicillin they had many terrible treatments for this disease. The silver bullet treatment was one of the more awful of its time. They would insert a bullet shape toll made of silver as it was easily shapable, in the mans penis and down hs eurethra to the bladder and the flattened bottom end if the bullet was designed to the scrape the side of the eurethra as they removed this which would of course then open the passage for urination. Kind of wants you to think you are glad you live in todays world now doesn't it. Either way this would tie up soldiers and give way to many kinds of infections etc.. Back then though once syphillis reached it last stage, they were no interventions and death and insanity were the end. I believe that there even was mention of this in the Discovery channel presentation of Mossada, but yes, this has been presented many times in the descriptions of the events used during the days of the Romans. This should not shock you as it has been well documented about type of use. I am not sure though just how you would google this though.
  6. What makes my blood boil is when these things do bump others on the waiting list to a later time. Since you are dwelling on just this one aspect. I have seen this happen as well, but it is more covered up, and most will never see it happen. Yes it is good to have friends or contacts, I will never say that it is not good. But just keep those favours you accept, to where you do not hurt another by doing so.
  7. My god people, you acted surprised that this type of thing were unheard of. Hell the Jews of Israel sent women who were infected with syphilles to service the Roman legions and these women willinly did so. The British Navy sailors were always trying to get back at their higher ups by getting these guys to lay with prostitutes that were infected with pox and /or venerial diseases of all kinds. During the dark ages cities underseige had bodies with the Black plague catapluted into them, so as to infect those inside. This kind of thing was just the same as saying hello, in those times. It was not something that was hidden and whispered about. Also if the white settlers really wanted to, they could have wiped the red man off the face of the earth. It was not as if they could not have won the fights. The Gatlin Guns that were invented in the early 1800's would have decimated any attacking indians and it would have just been a slaughter if these were used on the indian villages. The times back then would have been much the same the settlers if infections were openly used. Only things like the Bubonic plague would have been so one sided to kill the indians and not so many settlers and we know that did not happen. I do think though that naturally occuring infections did take more indians then whitemen as the settlers were survivors of the many plagues of europe and had much different immunities. We wll must remember that in the dark ages these plagues killed the majority of people in Europe, and those who did survive had more immunity to it, and could be carriers . It was then only natural that it found its west to the new world, and yes it would kill the majority of the indians who had no immunities to this. This was nature who is responsible not man. So since the native who say they are one with nature, should blame that one for their problems.
  8. The whole issue of making Afghanistan stable comes down to training their own armed forces and police, and paying them a good living wage so they will not be tempted at corruption. Once they have enough trained and paid troops of their own and can then take on the fight with the insurgency, we as Canadians will have done what we were trying to do. Right now an Afghan recruit is paid approx what you make in a week for a full year, and they have to put their life on the line for this. The Taliban targets these trainees, because they know that their success will mean the Taliban's demise. We are currently training all we can, but if we do have to move out sooner rather then later, I guess the troops that the USA said they will pull out of Iraq starting next fall, may well end up in Afghanistan. The USA has 13,000 troops their under NATO but they also have 6,000 more that fight under their own missions. I believe these numbers are close but I will not say for sure as it has been a while since I looked at them. Either way though, it will mean that Canada has the choice of completing thr job, or leaving due to politics and set dates. I and anyone who has pride in Canada, will see the things get completed and then an honourable withdrawl.
  9. Do not get me wrong, I am saying this was special treatment. Even though my wife never asked for it, her boss did make the calls and yes her father was afforded very special treatment. But not at the expese of bumping anyone from the list, but because this doctor did a friend a favour and worked the extra time needed to do this. It is like you have a friend who is a mechanic and is busy all the time and has a waitng list of appointments. But he also has a friend that needs reairs do quickly, so he does it after hours but in the shop, for his friend. No one who had appointments were inconvienced and so they could not raise a stink. This is the same thing but with doctors and hospitals etc. We do have to realise that operating rooms are not running 24/7 with appointments and that yes there could be many more things done if they were. But we don't have the staff and the money to do this normally. So yes there are times when this can take place. Do you get my point now.
  10. People need to look at the whole issue here. If someone is making regularly $250,000.00 per year salary, he is also normally paying $110,000.00 per year in income tax. If he has other investments that lose some money, it is a deduction, but because of that deduction some one else made money and is taxed for it. When his investments make money it will increase his taxes. This person could not very well have losses every year, as he would eventually go broke. So if there is a year ot two where he does not pay tax, it is offset by the years where he must pay even more tax. In the years where he lost money, someone made more and had to pay more taxes. This whole thread is nothing but bitching by people because they do not make the money that the richer people do. But all in all the richer the person is the more they pay in taxes. For those who inheirited money they still must pay the tax on the interest earned every year. So if they inherit one hundred million they pay taxes on approx 5 million or 2.4 million per year. So yes they do pay many time in one year then the whiners pay, in all their life time. There are just soooo bad now aren't they
  11. The fact that Chetien was not brought to the hospital by ambulance or any other emergency means, speaks volumes. Was he in immenent danger of dieing? No one will say for sure. I do know that yes if you need things done there are several way to get it done, and knowing people and how the system works is what can really make me boil. But I have also taken advantage of this or should I say my wifes family has. Her Father neededb a triple bypass and he lived in Gatineau Quebec. He was on a waiting list that was about three to four weeks long. He was hospitalized for this time as he was in high need. Now my wife works for CCHSA who do the accreditations for Hospitals etc, as a graphic artist, and the CEO of there, saw here crying about the possible death of her father while waiting for an operation. This Ceo was a personal friend of Dr Keon, who was one of the worlds best heart surgeons. Needles to say, after that, there was a call to the Gatineau hospital to have my wifes father transferred to the Civil Hospital for an early next morning operation. Dr Keon had made arrangements to be in a few hours early for this and his staff all agreed to do so as well. Now yes this was jumping the que, but it was also not done by making any others wait longer, but it was done because of extra hours being put in by the people. Maybe this was also done with Chretien, as his friend was a heart surgeon. But no one should think that this was normal care given the same as anyone else. Even the most wanton Chretien supportters would not try to make thatpig fly. This was special treatment, and the only question should be, did it make anyone else wait a longer time because of it. Knowing and having friends in not something that is a bad thing. As I said before I definitely am not a Chretien supportter, and I still would not want to say that his timely operation was not with or without merit, but I am also willing to look at the fact, that it may well be a friend doing a friend a favour, and if no one else was made to wait longer then I will not condemn that action, as well.
  12. I do not agree with yoy that most modern immigrants stay on welfare etc.. That is not feasible and just not in the same thinking of yours that they will drive wages lower. If they do not work, how can wages be driven lower?
  13. You can say what you like but to me it is just how I really feel about the man and his legacy. I will take the drive to his grave when he dies and forfill my wish. I would also do the same for Mulroney, but he may well out live me, but again I have my own reasons for my feeling, and wishing these people ill will is only a small part of those feelings. Disgusting to you maybe, you like to forgive and forget, I am not built that way
  14. Shavluk I can relate to injustices that have occurred in our justice system, and the costs to defend charter rights that cost $250,000.00 to defend and bankruptcy. I do have a very large hate for those who were in power at that time and yes it burns deep within me. I sought professional help to be able to control my hate and suggest you do the same. I being a biochemical engineer, it was not something I wanted to let eat me into oblivion, but even with help I will always have vast hatred for many government and police agencies. Especially the RCMP. But I can control it and yes I vent sometimes, but you got to get over yourself first and get some help. Guns and rifles are not what I ever feared using, but you seem to be saying that would be your way or experience. I honestly can say that I think you are moore of the product I would have become without help. You need to get yourself some real soon or you may well be digging your own grave. I will not show you sympathy because I do not think you deserve that shame. But I will say I have been there and done that.
  15. There was a class action suit being played out with this issue being the reason. It was in Last Fridays Paper in the auto and driving section of the Ottawa Citizen, but also must have ran in many others I am sure. They were looking for people who feel they got screwed with the unfair pricing etc. You may want to sign up for that suit. It was going against all companies and I really do not see how the Canadian Companies will be able to resolve this without having to make reparations and lowering prices. I hope this helps you. I know it makes me feel better, just knowing that someone is trying to do something to make these companies liable.
  16. I do not like Chretien, and I do not like his getting away with emergency surgury, period. He should have been made to wait until his name would have come up on a waiting list, and from my point of view hopefully die waiting. The miserable piece of garbage should not have any privilages given to him. It would only be like putting a rat down. I hope he has complications and dies a slow agonizing death. Maybe a few more of his cronies should join him. So get sick quick Chretien and die real slowly. I hope they run out of pain meds. I might yet get to piss on your grave.
  17. Armyguy This character is not worth arguing with. He has shown that he is a bitter and angry man for his own choices in life and he is not very pleased with his outcome I guess. As for his military knowledge goes.... well lets just say he may know what end of the rifle to point, but he obviously also learned to retreat much more then he ever learned to stand and fight. He seems to be desperately in need of the services of a good vetern hospital. The whole Idea of his pushing this stuff then talking about Green Party politics and his views are signs of his dilusion. I just chose not to spoil this for him, as his dilusional world seems to make him happier then the real world ever could.
  18. I look at the problems that Dion is facing as the natural ending to the political game of hot potatoe that the leadership convention really was about. To me, I see Dion as the fall on the sword type liberal, who really is not going to do much for the party, other then take time out and let the voters think that change in behind the scenes is taking place, when we all know it is not really. Yes the Liberal are in decline and I am confounded by the fact that it did not melt totally down in the last election, but I do feel that further melt downs are still to come. With the PC after Mulroney they melted very fast and destroyed the old party big time. The same thing should have happened after Chretien but it seems that the Liberals will try and make this a much slower decline, then a total rout. Things had to change and Dion is mostly just an interm holder of the torch. I do not think even the party faithful expect him to do well in any election. They are all thinking forward to the next party convention and trying to find that next new leader who has all the ings that Dion lacks. It does not make sense that if Dion was looked at by the majority of the party just one year ago as being their leader, that everyone would turn so abruptly against him today. I would really be surprised if the Liberals actually bring down the government this fall, as they definitely would not gain anything and only spend their war chest needlessly, in a war they can not win. I pretty much believe Harper will survive long enough to see his set election date come about. All the noise from the opposition is really just that noise.
  19. While I will agree with you on many of the things you have said in the post, I must though disagree with the implied immigrants keep salaries low. While at first glance this would be a reasonable assuption, but if you look closely, you will see a very high number of immigranst will save and start their own businesses. If you want to change the low paying jobs, all you need do is set out a certain sliding minimum wage. For instance. Tjose who graduate high school $12.00 per hour, those with College or post secondary education $20.00 per hour. Those with BA or University $30.00 per hour and so on. That way we could see the benefits of education for people. Those who have little skill and less then High school sould be paid say $9.00 per hour. That way we would have set the stage for all immigrants to at least try to educate themselves and in that very act they will become more Canadian and open to our way of life. It will also be an incentive to the young today to stay in school if they want to get ahead. I am not against immigration but rather I would like to see that these same people show some willingness to learn and educate themselves, and that will be the start of them Canadianising their way of thinking as well.
  20. Shavluk You think that just because you served in regular army that makes you better them some one like me. I am too old now to go serve in Afghanistan but I will put my markmanship against anything you still think you can do. I have trophies for target shooting over 1000 yards, and can still hit what I am aiming at near that distance now that I am in the mid fifties. You shoot your mouth off as if you are all knowing about what is going on in Afghanistan and then say you could win the war in a week and also the drug war as well? Only nukes could come close to achieving that and that would be scorched earth plan. Just how dumb do you think the people are on this board. I have seen your drunken blow hard types before, you think that by bullying people that give you respect? Well it will not come from me, to be exact I think your beyond contempt and should have the light of day finally come shine on you in your dark hiding places. Versed in death are you You sure have a lot to learn even from an ex-reservist like me. It seems to me that the reason you liked the blue beret so much was if a shot was fired you would run away. That is what happened during all but a few peacekeeping missions. It sounds to me that you liked that way of doing things. But I liken that to cowardism more then anything else. Yes politics do play a big part in how that was done, but cut and run peacekeeping definitely was not something Canada can be proud of, in my own view. But as you said that is what you liked most, and think we should still be doing that. Proud fighting soldier you say you are.
  21. I will vote Conservative. I do think Harper has done a very good job with a minority government, and if the other parties are foolish enough to call an election it will be upon them to do so. The CPC has done a very good job of aligning all its ducks in a row, and the throne speech will be done is such a way that anyone to vote against it, will be voting against the many things that the people want. Harper will be sure not to put any of the so called ultimatum things in the speech, but will make sure that the many things that voters want such as tax cuts and other things in it, in such a way that to vote against it would be very wrong. The other parties could not then make platforms using these as it would be seen as stealling the CPC platform. The politics of all of this will play out very soon, and I will watch with baited breath, as this is really going to be a case of how to out gun opposition while still a minority government.
  22. Who are you to say that just because some have inherited money they do not deserve the benefits. You hold yourself pretty high when as most of the people here have figured just who and what you are long ago. Shitdisturber comes to mind, lazy and not really with the standards that most people use to guage their lots in life. Go wait for another government cheque and tell us more about how bad we are for earning success. Just because you and your main cause never will achieve anything, you should not cry foul at all those who have earned their wealth, or even left that same wealth for their children etc.. And here is a fact for you about the RCA of the government. They loose 95% of all cases that go to court. So if you use any data given out by them, remember they are wrong 95% of the time.
  23. As it would seem the Taliban do not have the wish yet to sit down and talk. That means they have no wish to soften their position on any of the issues. They probably see that right now they are in a position where they can find support for their causes within the rural communities of Afghanistan. I can see that from their own view, there would be no reason for wanting to negoiate with the government, as they already feel that they have the upper hand at attacking and causing terror, in the cites and surrounding areas, so why would they want to change that? The elctions in Pakistan will soon be coming and if they oust the president, then that will be a blow for the NATO mission, but it also may well have the USA deciding to take the fight across the border and into Pakistan, and that would be bloody and messy, with loads of repercussions to it. But it difenitely would change many things in Afghanistan for the better. The Taliban might then see the need for some talks, as their safe haven would then be not very safe, and death would be on their minds in more ways then suicide bombing. There definitely would be a shift from the south maybe to the western borders with Iran etc. I do think that there has to be some kind of push to change the status quo, before the Taliban will even hint at talking. Maybe the more military planners could say what and where that push would have to be, but for right now it would seem that everything is to everyones liking.
  24. I do not think anyone who pays into the EI or any work plan, should ever forgo having benifits of such, even if they are multi-millionaires. They paid for it, so they should benifit from it. It seems that there are some who feel that poeple who have enough, should no longer try to get more. While that maybe a quaint way to think, it is not the way I would like to see things go. It is a shame that someone even saw fit to post such triffling garbage as this. But seeing where it comes from does in my mind answer a lot of things. It seems they never can see that those who think the world owes them are alway mad at those who worked and got their fair share of what the world has offered them. I do not see things changing any time soon though.
  25. Personally I am all for having talks with all of the highest Taliban leaders in and around Afghanistan. We can feed them and give them drinks all atgged with nuclear markers, so we can track them easier after the alks have finished. That way we will know exactly where they are and be able to direct our forces efforts at bringing these people to justice. Sounds like an excellent way to get the upper hand in all of this.
