Harper hails opening of grand Hindu temple
xul replied to Leafless's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
There is a joke. One day, after attending a huge religion temple's seting up ceremony, a politician forgot the way to get him out, then he asked the priest. The priest pointed to the crowd and said:"Following the others, you will get the way out." -
Jewish girl attacks Palestian girl: MUST SEE VID!

I must be very dull. "This land is not belong to them but to us. Our ancestors lived in here thousands years ago. We were conquered and dispeled from our homeland and now we have been just coming back home. We are master not guest. They are guest. We will no longer give up and abandon her." I guess those are the words that jefferiah wanted Mike told me. I can understand the emotional feeling in those words. But this is a declaration not a solution. I wish both of those Israeli girls and Arabian girls and their future girls and boys would live in the circumstance that my son and sons or girls of every pro-Israeli or pro-Arabian Canadian live now. Should we redefine the term civilized people as that "civilized people kills using tanks and uncivilized people kills using swords"? edited for: I was confused about the term of "civilized people". -

I understood what you said. Sorry, I did not made my expression clearly. I didn't mean you was the one who supposed me to refuse something. I chose "I was supposed to", in stead of "someone supposed me to" because I tried to avoid indicating a certain one. -

Oh, why I was supposed to refuses to accept Israel? In my opinion, the best way of peace between Arabian and Israeli is that Arabian must accept Israel and then Israel return those Arabian territory. I have never said UN and others refused to recognize Israel. Most country in the world include some Arabian country such Egypt and Jordan have embassy in Israel. Even Israeli government has never deny that the Gaza Strip, the Sinai Peninsula and the Golan Heights are Arabian territory. The Sinai Peninsula has retured to Egypt when Egypt accept Israel and made peace with Israel. Israel have not returned the others because they are in the truce with other Arabian country not peace. As a country is in the war (truce is the rest form of a war), Israel of course can occupy enemy's territory for military advantage until peace established. The big poblem is in the West Bank and Eastern Jerusalem. Israel is unwilling return the West Bank because Eastern Jerusalem locate at the West Bank. Jerusalem is the holy city of both Jew and Muslim so this problem is too complex. -

If you worked in a software company, you should have more chance to have an Indian colleague than a Chinese. Everyone in the world knows that software industry in India is larger than those in China. So Indian immigrants to have more software developer are reasonable. -

You'll fit right in with Canadians. This Chinese person I used to work with said that the Canadian gov't is a lot like the Chinese gov't; everything happens behind closed doors. I'm sorry I did not reply in time. I go off for weekend with my family on Thursday evening your time. I guess that you underestimated Canadian politician's wisdom. -

In early post I think that the Palestinian girl was in Israel. I find there perhaps have some mistakes. Is the West Bank an Israeli territory? According to my knowledge, West Bank is not Israeli territory. In 1947 Isael and Palestine was separated to establish their country according to an UN resolution. The West Bank was not in the territory of Israel but in Palestinian territory at that time. In 1967 the Six-Day War, Isael defeated Arabic army and occupied the Eastern Jerusalem, the Gaza Strip, the Sinai Peninsula, the Golan Heights and the West Bank. The Palestinian are native settlers in the West Bank and Israeli settlers were moved from Israel by Israeli government. The UN and most countries in the world include America and Canada refused to recognize that the Eastern Jerusalem, the Gaza Strip, the Sinai Peninsula, the Golan Heights and the West Bank are Israeli territory. In 2000, Israeli govenment agreed to return 96% the West Bank territory to Palestine, but Palestinian wanted all the territory to be returned. So they missed the opportunity of peace. Am I right? -

Who made a joke at you? You may say:"You did, xul!" Are you right? Let me remove the words like "the stone aged cultural" and rewrite "my son's words" again: Hi, Uncle! oh, forgive me. I called you as the way of our culture. Which kind of sport do your kids like? This is my downtown. And this is my city. This is the community I lived. On weekend, I usually spend my time as this way. Sometimes, Dad bring me to museums. Dad said, knowledge is the most valuable treasure in the world, and a ignorant man is the poorest man, didn't he right? Some one told my dad that there are a lot of hot girls in your beautiful country. I'm looking forward to meet some one. Bye-bye, See you in Canada. You see, there is only one joke left. But the joke is between M.Dancer and I, not at you. I guess he would not care about it. The whole post has become a explanation of those photos now. These photos were taken by myself and were chosen form thousands of photos of my family's daily live. I guess they can make you to understand that I'm not to come to Canada for taking your country's advantage of welfare. You may say:"It was really the words stone age here." I agree. But who used to use the words "stone age" to others? So, I just cited your words in my post to "self-hate" myself. It is your words to make a joke at youself. You said I laughted at Canadian, I don't agree, and most people here don't agree. Bur if you say you feel to be hurt by the joke, I agree. But why did you feel being hurt? Literally, I debased myself, my family, my homeland, my culture, not yours. Those is caused you and I are humanbeing. We are more the same rather than the different. If you had fogotten this by deeply believing in your superiority , those photos remindered you back to the reality. So when I am hurted, you will be hurted also. This is how my post worked on you. Edit:My English is really poor to express such complex idea. I don't know whether I have expressed my idea correctly. I wish you would eventually understand everyone whom seems "against" you is really not against you, they are trying to help you. So I suggest you would relax yourself and get rid of the concern that 800,000 immigrants such as me will come tomorrow some days(I may come in 1.5-3years if Canada government admits my application.). Then review all debates, perhaps you would have some new thoughts. -

Canada government is the legal representative of whole Canadian, not only yourself. I respect Canada government's policy because it is the will of the most Canadian's will, not yourself will. You should understand your will do not equal whole Canadian's will. Just as that Jewish girl's action doesn't equal whole Jewish' action. I also care your opinion. This is why I stay here and discuss with you. Caring your opinion doesn't mean I will obey your opinion. I will only obey your opinion as I wish to go into the yard of your house. -

I believe he has the right to express the opinion to be against me to immigrate to Canada. I wish he can understand that the Jewish girl also have the right to express the opinion to be against the Palestinian girl coming into Israel. But if the Palestinian girl into Isael with a Isael government legal admittion, she have no right to push her our of Israel. Only Israel government have the right to dispel the Palestinian girl out of Israel, because Isael government is the representative of Israeli, not her. -

Alas. I'd like to satisfy your curiosity, partically. I'm ageing, have no confidence to attract any hot girl or cold girl. My wife is a common woman, not a film star. Thanks for your encouragement. I think I need to read more English books and articles to learn how to write English in an English way. I guess that the part you citing is in the Chapter 49. The contents is: Being a saint must not consider for his own benefits. He only considers for others. To a good man, he must be good to him. To a bad man, he must be good him too. This is the manner to be good man. To a honest man, he must be honest to him. To a dishonest man, he must be honest to him too. This is the way to be a honest man. Your understanding is right. Lao Tzu did not advocate to be kind to evil. His meaning is a good man must not give up his belief and value when he confronts evil. It rather likes the actor's line in the American film Star Wars:"When you make use of the dark side of the force, you will turn to the dark side of the force." -

That was the point I was making. Was I not clear enough? I was pointing out the hypocrisy of those who pretend shock and horror at the actions of the vicious Jew in the video. The video was a catfight, because it took place in Israel. It would have been a callous rape and murder had the situations been reversed and had the event taken place in so-called "Palestine." That doesn't make a catfight proper, but when juxtaposed against a rape and murder, one hopes it comes out looking relatively harmless. I've seen far worse catfights on highschool playgrounds. If person see a policeman beating a old woman in a street, he will be more horror than he see a criminal beating a old woman. That doesn't mean that he is hypocrisy to the policeman. This is caused that a policeman is usually to be considered as a "civilized people" but a criminal is not. -

Would you agree if a Palestinian militant raped a Jewish girl in the West Bank, and then a Israeli policeman would rape a Palestinian girl in Jerusalem? Or if a rapist raped a girl, the girl's father would rape the rapist's daughter? Incidentally, the logic (or actually illogic) above is always advocated by those militants. If we adopted this, we would really go back to the stone age thousands years ago. I think xul, that you need to learn english before embarking on a philosophical discussion using it. You have comprehensively missed not only the point in the "illogic" above, but each and every particular of it too. Unfortunately I don't know mandarin, or I'd explain it to you. At least it seems that you have agreed my point in another post. If a country has a lot of low educated people, it is not easily to become a democracy country. People can not vote rightly as they dose not understand what the politicians say. Of course, I don't mean that every people must be a PhD. I am not a PhD but a mechanical engineer. I believe I can understand the views on a philosophical discussion. I can not express my point with philosophical terminology but can express it with a demotic way. I guess not everyone here are PhD. I know my English is poor. 18 months ago, I could only say:"Good morning." or "There is a computer on the desk." I have been learning English seriously after I decided to immigrate to Canada. You see, I am trying to improve it now. Improving a skill needs practice, not merely sitting in a classroom and listening a teacher's lecture. If anyone here are bothered by the syntax faults in my posts I apologize for it. But I guess most people here could understand the meaning that I expressed in my post. -

Should Canada pursue Islamic Detente?

At that night, I was not inside the tanks but outside of them. I was trying to avoid them. Whom do you think were in these tanks? The dictator or top officials of communist party? No, they are farmers. I mean at that time they had a army uniform on their body and were called soldiers , but before they enrolled army and after retired from army, they are farmers. In a developing country, being a famer usually means poor, low educated and ignorant. In fact, I can come here and talk with you because most of them really didn't want kill us, so they fired to the sky. This is based on the fact that farmers in China have been no longer illiterates as those in Arab and Afghanistan since communists rued my country, though they are not well educated. They did not understand what is democracy but they knew killing a guy without arm is not a good thing. You might also compare China with some "democracy" developing countries. You may say:"The chairman of China is unelected." I agree with this but I can also argue with you that most of Chinese national leaders come from civilian families and they can not keep power legally more than ten years but the top leaders of those "democracy" developing countries are always come from several wealthiest families, just like those ruling families in some kingdom. All of those are caused that those "democracy" developing countries have a lof of poor and illiterate people, they sell their votes to the wealthy people only for a meal. But in China, no one dare to try to descend the national power to his family member, because our people will say:"No!" These are caused that most Chinese educated well than those developing country. Of cause, China is not a democracy country because most Chinese do not educated as well as developed country such as Canada, that's fact. -

Democracy likes a computer, it is a good thing and a powerful tool to its owners who have enough knowledge and skill to run it. But if the owner, such as a five years old kid, has less ability to operate it, it will become a chaos when the little finger thrums over its keyboard. Perhaps the best way is to give him some suitable toys and wait him growing up. -

Reagan did not refuse to negotiate with his enemies. He just refused to negotiate with Soviet Union, The main enemy of U.S. in his time. Reagan administration negotiated with Iran Khomeini regime and secretly sent armament to them for the release of American diplomats. In fact, Bush administration also did not refuse to negotiate with any of American enemies. At first he refused to negotiate with Kim Jong Il, the dictator of DPRK. But as this guy exploded a nuclear bomb, Bush changed his mind. Perhaps negotiation with terrorism is not easy but negotiating with a Arab King or the dictator in Pyongyang is not impossible. British ruled Arab world a centry depending on negotiationg with their king and not changing their cultural tradition. But Bush administration seems can not rule Iraq several years by beatingdown their king and "establishing" democracy on the wasteland of the war. -

Most governmental purchase in the world are inclined to native manufacturer. Sometimes it is based on the economical fact. Let's assume a government wants to buy 10 frigates. A foreign manufacturer offered $10 billion and native manufacturer offered 12 billion, so it seems reasonable to buy these foreign frigates. But if we consider the factor of tax that the government would gain, the conclusion will be different. Let's assume the tax that the government gained from manufacturer is 20%. If the government purchase the native made ships, its spending is 12billion, but it can also gain 2 billion tax form the native manufacturer. Of course the manufacturer needs to pay salary to its employees, to purchase material from other native manufacturers. And the government will also gain tax from them. And then the actual cost spent by the government must be lower than $10 billion. If the government purchases these frigates from a foreign manufacturer, the foreignment will gain all taxes. To the government, the actual cost of purchasing these foreign frigates is 10 billion, higher than the cost of native made frigates.
-
It seems not a political decision. Politicians only used it to serve their political benefits. Considering these ships have been launched for at least 10 years, some parts of their computers and equipments are aging, just as our car or computer would aging after being used for 10 years. The reliability is lower than a certain acceptable level, so some renewl and maintains are needed. But the contractor can not purchase the same model of these facilitis as their original status after 10 years when these ships had been launched, so they have to renew all of them with those new models. If the radar was upgraded to APAR, it would suit to the computer upgrading better and improve the ability of these frigates essentially. But it is usually needed 8000 to 10,000 tonnage for a ship to fix an APAR.

You really be blindfolded by your bias Have you ever asked your grandfather why he immigrated to Canada? For being a soldier fighting for Canada in World War I? I guess he also came for his family and friends, if there were any. He enrolled the army and fought for Canada because he know when he got the benefits from this country he also took responsibility on this country. He is a good man, so do I. -

Oh, unfortunately I am married so have no opportunity to practise this. But some day I might encourage my son. When I asked my wife to marry me, I really should admit anything that she would request, but she requested nothing. Since then, we both have changed largely. We know assimilation to make a family needs making effort together. A steady marrage would not be depend on single sacrifice. I know your view. I have been there for several months and have searched some debates about immigration to get a understanding of Canadian. I disagreed somepeople's saying but I did not try to join it because I thought it is Canadian business. Whether immigration is needed is depend on Canadian people's will not foreigners' will. I posted here not for being any pleading for Mr.Chen's "Party". I don't know what he is and have no interesting to spend my time to know it. Just as I saw a beaver wandering in a streat, I would have no intersting to know why it were here, unless there were hundreds of them here. I said something only for some people here mistaking that chinese people coming in Canada want to dominate other people here. As a minority, it is absolutely unreasonable and illogic. -

If that girl told me:"It is a priveledge for you to date me, not a right. The onus is not upon me to change my ways, it is on you to agree to live within me. You have the choice to accept or decline my family customs, just as I have the right to refuse you dating if I so choose. I don't have to change. You do.", how would I response her? How a white boy will response such request from an Indian gril? I really agree with your opinion that immigrants must to some degree assimilate into the larger pool. I even partially admit ScottSA's opinon that immigrants must take on some responsibility such as to accept Canada laws, speak official language in working place and some public place, observe traditions and customs in public place, etc. Just as I join your forum, I should not talk about my cat or dog here beacause you have defined this forum a Canadian political forum not a pets forum. I also can not use Chinese words here because it is not an offical language and most people here can not read it. But in other aspects, I don't agree that immigrants need to be ordered changing their thinking way and value to some white way, even I doubt there is a certain white way suit for all white skin people. I also disagree that immigrants have to abandon there cultural which has no harm to public benefits. These kind of integration sounds like thinking/culture autarchy. I don't mean immigrants must stiffly keep their cultural but the "large pool" are also the same. Most people always pursue good things, so if there is any thing really good enough, it will assimilate others naturally. All such like "We are not change" growling are silly. Every thing need change, every thing will change, even a kid knows these. -
