That is exactly right...Europeans are fleeing Europe in record numbers, and we ought to be doing everything we can to bring them here. Not just because they are skilled and enculturated, but because they are part of the Judeo-Christian heritage, and not "visible," so they won't add to the ghettoization of society.

I see the totalitarian side of the PC movement is in full gear. Who exactly do you think you are demanding that other people leave? Good grief.

It's unfortunate that you can't discern the intent of the poll, and instead conjure up another strawman. I'm not suggesting that he's wrong in any way. In fact I think he's quite right. He's quite within his rights to say what he said, don't you think? It may be "racist", xenophobic" and all those other cute polysyllabisms, but so what? It's his country, right? Shouldn't he have the right to keep it the way he and his citizens want? I await your reply, explaining why people ought not have the right to choose who lives in their countries, and why they ought not have the right to keep their culture.

Scientists Find A DNA Change That Accounts For White Skin
ScottSA replied to jennie's topic in The Rest of the World
Wow, that's seminal stuff Higgly. You should try to get it published or something. Maybe you could call it: "Evolution of the Species II" or maybe "I'm only a century and a half behind, but I've got big news!" -
Well, are the sneaky buggers not Islamic? The US courts seem to think so in both cases, the perps are on tape admitting it, and even the IBD articles calls it "The Islamist Head Fake." I simply don't understand the energy expended in mincing about looking for evidence of "racism" and "bigotry" and "insults." That includes the energy expended in this thread protecting me from being called a "bigot." The stupidity and double standard of those who use the phrase is evident without it being banned IMO, and speaks louder than any proscription against it. My only beef is the fact that the same people who yowl "racism" can't take the heat when they are called names in return, and so report it. That, I suspect, is why Greg levelled the playing field a bit, although I could be wrong. Maybe Greg is a "racist" and "bigot" too, and this is part of his master plan to bigotize the world!

The Feminizing of Western Civilization
ScottSA replied to August1991's topic in Moral & Ethical Issues
I think the problem is larger than that. It begins in school, at a very early age these days. Take for example the "zero tolerance" for violence, a policy I suspect that actually causes more violence than it stops, and this is why: The schoolyard fight is a seminal development in malehood. That doesn't mean, for the lesser feminized males hereabouts, that I'm encouraging boys to battle and bludgeon each other on the playground, but rather that we return to an older paradigm involving male honor and dignity. I'm not old enough to remember the good old days, but I've read enough to know that fights per se were sometimes ignored, and sometimes stopped, but encouraged to continue with boxing gloves. Even when I was in grade school in the 60s and high school in the 70s, proscriptions against schoolyard fighting were often honored only in the breech. The lessons learned, not only from participating in them, but watching them as well, often stay with boys well into manhood and offer a formative influence that simply can't be found elsewhere. Those lessons range from the observation that life isn't always fair to the observation that bullies are generally disliked, and provide a grounding in reality; that real physical consequences can happen to people. It makes life more real and immediate and less abstract. For my part, I remember telling someone to tell the school jock...not THE school jock, but one of them a bit bigger than me and one with a reputation for toughness...that I thought he was a "fag." It was a bit of false bravado that somehow ended up with me facing him at recess, getting tumbled around a bit, accidently kicking him in the eye, producing a huge shiner, and ripping my shirt. Dragged before a great hairy ex-football player named Coach Coleman, we both got a suspension, but Coach told my parents later that he'd never seen me stand taller. That stayed with me...well...obviously till now. And it set the stage for what might well be the proudest moment of my life...one of those rare moments in life when you know you're on the side of the angels. That was highschool, grade 10 to be exact, when the school bully...the real school bully, in 12th grade and everything...called my freind Tom Aronsohn a "kike," and I stupidly challenged him to a fight right then and there in the hallway. He didn't know what to say...he knew he was going to win, but he knew he was wrong as well. Fortunately as I walked toward him mustering my very best sucker punch as the one and only lick I was likely to get in, the school VP walked around the corner and we all ahemed and ahaed and then dispersed. He wasn't scared of me, but he never called Tom a kike again. It stayed with me, but I bet it stayed with him too. Nowadays boys are deprived of those lessons, and are encouraged to tattle instead, something certain posters here have apparently taken to heart in adult life. It's too bad. -
Another useless post.

The Feminizing of Western Civilization
ScottSA replied to August1991's topic in Moral & Ethical Issues
Not all men are alpha males, but before the feminization of society, alpha males were the icon and the archetype of malehood. Then a bunch of pseudoacademic women from the most spoiled class of individuals in history made careers out of concocting myths about that archetype, and succeeded to a great degree in convincing men that they ought not be men, and ought to act like women instead. The sensitive 70s limp wristed creep that resulted is finally history, since women like to have him around but don't actually want to boink him, but men today are confused as to what precisely it is they are supposed to be. The solution is not to run around in the forest banging drums, or whatever that silliness was all about, it is to become men again and start taking pride in being a man. -
Can you elaborate on that? Especially the last part of the sentence. You can't possibly be claiming what you appear to be claiming, but I can't think of any other meaning. If you're claiming he's taking more money in GST in absolute terms, then that's a function of the economy and consumer spending and nothing to do with him. He's certainly not taking more in percentile terms, since he cut the % of the GST. So how exactly do you suspect he's taking more money from us?

The Problem with the Liberal Party of Canada
ScottSA replied to August1991's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Which is why I vote Conservative, because in the absence of 30,000,000 individual parties to suit each iota of what I'd like to see, I have to make do with the party that comes closest. As for adding parties into a political spectrum, how's it feel to have the left split between left, lefter, and ridiculous? -

Yes, we wouldn't want to sully our "see no evil" mindset with inconvenient facts, would we? I'll condense it for you: A bunch of high profile Islamofascists posing as moderates plotted to install Sharia in the US. Nothing to concern yourself with, of course, although CAIR, the largest "moderate" Muslim organization in the US (and Canada - CAIR-Can), is named as an "unindicted co-conspirator" in the case...

Yeah, I'm sure you'd love another vote splitting party. Surely you mean "you" rhetorically, though. Mine would be a "racist" party hardly likely to sweep downtown TO. Shocking. -

The Problem with the Liberal Party of Canada
ScottSA replied to August1991's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
You are quite a spinmeister, aren't you? We all know the figures you're refering to are votes parked a couple years ago and forgotten. You know it too, and you also know that they bear no relationship to the polls on election day. You surely must know where they're going to trend unless the heavens split asunder and Yahweh descends to perch at the right hand of Dion, who will probably denounce him anyway for the effect of his entrance on the ozone layer. As for feeling betrayed by Harper for his position on the environment, hell no...it's good marketing. No one in Salem, circa 1695 or so, ever got elected by pointing out that witches don't exist, so why should Harper do it? And the subject is so obscured by misunderstandings of terminology that it's a minefield he might as well avoid. As someone whose vote will probably always be conservative of some variation, who else am I supposed to vote for if I were "feeling betrayed?" The NDP? The Liberals? The Greens? Are they likely to be closer to my view of GW? Hardly. And after the visitation of Shavluk as a representative of the Green Party, I'd be more likely to vote for the Bedlam Party on the grounds that it's saner. -
Anyone who has read Foote's "Boom Bust and Echo" has at least an idea of the dynamic here. The baby boom is in middleage at the moment, and except for the heads who never grew up, no-one really spends a lot of time toking. This of course infuriates the heads, who have managed, after the "medical marijuana" meme fell on its face, to elevate what amounts to a psychological addiction to the status of a virtue, at least in their own THC besotted minds. Having done that, the whole paradigm changes from "I'm just an innocent loser, so let me lose in peace and stop putting me in jail," to "halt in the name of the virtuous New Crusade and stop depriving me of my rights!"

Perhaps next time I'll use the title "psychotic genocidal murdercult commits another kneeslapper". Or maybe we should start two new threads: "Daily murder count by Muslims in the name of Islam" and "Daily murder count by Christians in the name of Jesus." There's a good chance the latter might languish and die from inactivity, but maybe we can turn it into a chess club or something. I hope there's enough bandwidth on the internet for the former.
