Sorry about the drunk posting. However, it is an ethical dilemma. The Germans taught us in WW2 that ordinary men can do great atrocities under orders.

How about answering the question. Please, Michael. Do not be rude. You are my friend, Michael. You would never ignore me.

If you could get away with killing another human being, would you? I think I could, if it was at a time of war, or a major conflict with someone destroying or my family's well being. However, prison is a deterrent.

Steeling from Wildlife and killing them off

There are far too many Geese now days. Has anyone ever tried Goose meat? I would be up for controlling the Goose population, and cooking the meat. -
The series MASH was before my time, but I ahve seen reruns. Having said that, the theme song lyrics are bizarre: "Through early morning fog I seeVisions of the things to beThe pains that are withheld for meI realize and I can see...That suicide is painlessIt brings on many changesAnd I can take or leave it if I pleaseI try to find a way to makeAll our little joys relateWithout that ever-present hateBut now I know that it's too late, and...That suicide is painlessIt brings on many changesAnd I can take or leave it if I pleaseThe game of life is hard to playI'm gonna lose it anywayThe losing card I'll someday laySo this is all I have to sayThat suicide is painlessIt brings on many changesAnd I can take or leave it if I pleaseThe only way to win is cheatAnd lay it down before I'm beatAnd to another give my seatFor that's the only painless featThat suicide is painlessIt brings on many changesAnd I can take or leave it if I pleaseThe sword of time will pierce our skinsIt doesn't hurt when it beginsBut as it works its way on inThe pain grows stronger...watch it grin, but...That suicide is painlessIt brings on many changesAnd I can take or leave it if I pleaseA brave man once requested meTo answer questions that are key'is it to be or not to be'And I replied 'oh why ask me?''Cause suicide is painlessIt brings on many changesAnd I can take or leave it if I please...and you can do the same thing if you choose"

I noticed that a former member of this forum is going around, and openly calling for the assassination of Donald Trump. I'm not much of a fan of Trump, but I never understood the obsession over him, where one would resort to devoting their entire existence to being critical of every single thing he does. I hate Trudeau, but I would not take any joy in his death, regardless of his politics.

You must have never seen the Kings-Leafs series then. Gretzky single-handedly carried the Kings on his back, and defeated the Leafs in 7 games. It was arguably his greatest series, as he did not have the Oilers dynasty players of the 80s to play with.
-
McNall made a big profit off the Kings. Unfortunately, most of his other business dealings failed. That is why he had to relinquish the Kings. His creditors were going to seize the club. Ditto for Pockington. His businesses were in the red, so to cover his losses, he took the $15 million, and dealt Gretzky to LA. Saying the Kings lost money, while playing in LA from 1988-95, is completely false.
-
Who are you trying to fool? After Gretzky became a King, attendance went from 11,000 to sellouts every game. It also became the "in" thing to do for Hollywood Celebrities. Not to mention that Kings merchandise was selling like hotcakes. I think only the Raiders and Bulls sold more merchandise when Gretzky was in LA. It was Bruce McNall, and his horrible business investments that brought down the Kings. Ironic, since that is precisely what happened in Edmonton with Peter Pocklington five years earlier.
-
You must have missed the 1993 playoffs then.
-
Unless said player happens to be named Gretzky, Lemieux, Hasek, Crosby, Ovechkin, or McDavid.
-
I would. McDavid is only 22, and is still the NHL best player in spite of being in a train-wreck organization. Put McJesus on a playoff team, and they will win a couple of Stanley Cups.
-
If you really look at it, the Red Wings did not really wait that long from the time they became a powerhouse NHL team, to winning the cup. 1991-92 was the first year that Detroit was regarded as a legitimate contender to the Stanley Cup, after being shitty for 25 years. The WIngs really only choked once, against the underdog Sharks in 1993-94. In 1993, they lost a hard fought 7 game series to Toronto. In 1995, they made it to the Stanley Cup Final, and in 1996, they fell to a powerhouse Avalanche team, and began the NHL's best rivalry of the last 20 years. I agree. The Lightning should get rid of coach Cooper, but that is as far as it should go. The window period for the Lightning winning the cup again is closing, as Stevie Y is the main reason they have done so well in the last few years, and he went back to Detroit.

Jordan Peterson will be regarded as a hero to future generations, once this SJW/political correctness BS ends.

I find it bizarre that Twitter has banned women for responding to his/her hate-filled trolling, justifying the ban by calling it "hate speech" by using incorrect pronouns.. It reminds me of when a Black female Conservative was tweeting on the Sarah Jeong New York Times controversy (the Asian woman who was hired by the NYT, despite tweeting anti-Caucasian venom over 400 times), copied one of Jeong's tweets, and changed the word "White people" with a different ethnic group, and was subsequently banned for a week. I never realized how much of a left-leaning bias Twitter has, until that point.

Here is an excellent editorial on the mockery of Human Rights by Rex Murphy in the National Post, in regards to this issue. On the other political forum, they will lay down the proverbial beating to anyone who uses incorrect pronouns, when describing Transgenders.

After demanding a trade out of Winnipeg, and having his wish granted, NY Rangers Defenseman Jacob Trouba signed a 7 year, $56 million contract today, worth $8.0 million/season. In other news, the Oilers traded Lucic, and his absurd salary to the Calgary Flames, for James Neal. The Calgary fan base is having a collective meltdown.

Alberta has received next to nothing in equalization payments since 1957. In total, Alberta received 0.02% of the total equalization payments in Canada. In other words, Alberta has had to prop up other provinces for over 60 years. If you and your sibling owned a house, and you paid all the bills, and worked 40+ hours a week, while he partied all night, and was unemployed, would you not want him to either carry his weight, or boot him out onto the street?

Not sure if this has been posted, but many will want to read up on the curious case of supposed British Columbia Transgender individual Jonathan Yaniv. Not many cases reach this degree of politically correct insanity. My comments would not do it justice. https://www.spiked-online.com/2019/07/19/canadas-bizarre-trans-waxing-controversy/ https://www.thepostmillennial.com/another-b-c-woman-forced-out-of-business-in-transgender-male-genitalia-waxing-case/ In other Transgendered news, a man who claimed he was Transgender, was jailed for life after convincing of multiple counts of sexual assault inside the prison, after convincing corrections officials that he should be in a Women's prison, to serve out a sentence. Transgender Canadians now have more rights than naturally born Women, even if they are sexual deviants.

Will not happen. If anything, we are starting to see the beginning of the decline of the American Empire. The USA could soon be looking at a civil war, with the huge divide between Democrats and Republicans.
-
New polls released show that just over 50% OF Alberta residents would support becoming their own country if Trudeau and the Liberals win the election.

CBC is in bed with Justin Trudeau and the Liberal Party.

Of course people pay cash. I just went and withdrew $200 as I am going to Gimli this weekend. Did you want to join us?

Rumor has it that Patrik Laine and the Winnipeg Jets are not even on the same page, in contract negotiations. Apparently Laine wants to be bridged and is far from happy in Winnipeg, while the Jets want to sign him long-term. There is a big divide in the Jets dressing room, and there is speculation of dissent from the Jets younger stars, as Byfugliien, Wheeler, and Scheifele seem to be in "camp A' with Ehlers, Laine, Roslovic, and others falling into "camp B." Maurice has a history of siding with the vets, so his shelf life in Winnipeg may be coming to an end.
