  1. and the supposed difference between these supposedly different notes? and how does getting paid in one differ from getting paid in the other?
  2. sorry, Newsmax has already been shown up as a useless source and Allawi has been, more than once been refuted for bad information - even Republicans have had to make the admission - done is done
  3. Poppycock...PolyNewbie stated: There is only one kind of bank note This is patently false...no smoke required. At least three forms of bank notes existed (were issued) after the Depression. Next... well, I suppose if one has a fatal case of nitpicking, one could say there are NO kinds of bank notes in America as they are all Federal Reserve Notes -- but it is the case there is no legal tender printed in the US since the 60's except those backed by the Federal Reserve -- so, despite the kicking and screaming, polynewbie was right sorry
  4. Take it up with the United States Department of the Treasury: 1971 -- The last United States notes were placed into circulation by the Treasury Department. http://www.ustreas.gov/education/history/e...01-jan.shtml#21 They say United States notes were dropped because they served no different purpose than Federal Reserve Notes -- so, essentially, they agree --- there is only one American note - and not, "six forms of "bank notes" " as existed before the depression polynewbie was right and the rest of this stuff is just so much smoke screen
  5. There was a time when US paper money could be traded for an exact weight in gold or silver, depending on the note --- now, those notes, even though they still proclaim value in metals, are counted no differently than federal reserve notes except, of course, to collectors so, yes, the US currency is of only one single type -- that being the case since '64(?) or whenever the last date for transferring them into precious metals expired
  6. Iraqi yellow cake is just another right wing wet dream Link Link
  7. It backs up the claims that Iraq had yellow cake, and now puts you behind the wheel of another typical left wing drive by smear. no, it does not
  8. Link The good news? The DH has revised downward, the chance of a malaria outbreak in Great Britain -- but say increased rainfall, as predicted, will also bring "increased numbers of bacteria in surface water; Increased water temperature leading to an increase in algal blooms in reservoirs; and A decrease in the efficiency of chemical coagulation: a major method of removal of microbes from drinking water." So, less malaria but more deaths directly attributed to polution and potential for other vector infestations and outbreaks of disease and then there are the coastal floods, which will claim lives as well --- bottom line, it will not be long before the list of species endangered by GW extends well beyond arctic animals and humans will be on the list in significant numbers, soon
  9. prove it http://www.newsmax.com/archives/ic/2005/11/2/220331.shtml Sorry, your pathetic article doesn't address your claims - and in fact, admits Saddam hadn't bought Uranium since the 80's and that from the white power fake news site, 'Newsmax'
  10. holding up Bill O'Reilly as a conservative could easily explain why you see the word, 'lie,' so often -- Bill falsely claimed to have won a Peabody Award Bill falsely claimed the French ambassador had been sent to New York to talk him out of boycotting French products. gee, it really is difficult to describe Bill with out using the, 'L,' word - his list of prevarications runs well past the horizon and your answer doesn't account for you referring to B.Max's sour grapes reply as, 'bias'ed
  11. Well, by your own admission, retaliation against Iraq was unwarranted
  12. Uh no, it's called bias. In a story with 100 people to talk about, this link spends 2 paragraphs on Rosie. I saw no actual list. I'd like to see how many conservative leaders made the list. I'll bet not even 5 if they put Justin Timberlake on it. Time is definitely left, so no surprise. Are you aware, you are saying B.Max is biased? "conservative leaders" -- so, making a list of influential people should be, 'fair and balanced,' as opposed to looking for influential people poor pathetic right wingers need some kind of, 'quota system,' for popular magazine notoriety?
  13. How many radical islamists do you know? How can you claim to know their mindset? being open to scrutiny never stopped the Bush Administration from making up false stories or making false claims. also, these guys you doubt would make something up; other than their being open to scrutiny (what scrutiny are they under btw) - what else do you know about them? have they credentials as journalists? are they linguists?
  14. yes, it appears that someone with that name exists --- in finding him, however, you're article makes it appear highly unlikely that he is the guy to determine Hamas policy toward an entire religion - 'Hamas,' doesn't seemed to have called for any extermination -- the claim is no more credible than saying Israel Calls for 'Extermination of Muslims' - http://www.israelshamir.net/English/Guilty_Lamb.htm
  15. Where do we sell our products? We are one of the biggest exporting countries in the world and many of our exports are sent to Asia and made into finished products which we buy back so what is your point? There are plenty of westerners working in Asia and for their companies. Did myself for 5 years. Ever heard of Hyundi, Daewoo, KIA, Samsung, LG and the list goes on? The South could buy this country. What has North Korea produced other than starving millions? Perhaps you should get your head out of your ass and go see for yourself. I have. Trade Deficit
  16. The downfall of the communist north is inevitable, the only reason it hasn't happened long ago is because of China, both during and after the war. No bright future for the South, what have you been smoking? The future is there. Has been for some time. You should go take a look for yourself. It's one of the strongest economies in the world. They don't need our western dollars except to buy their products and we do, by the ton. and still, Koreans come to America looking for work, every day --- and those products? where do they sell them? I suppose they need a market for them -- maybe you should try taking an objective look at the place before you start insulting people who refuse to drink the rightist kool aid
  17. In America, we call that type of response, 'sour grapes.'
  18. And that comment, with its lack of examples, elaboration, or substance shows your ignorance. Period. Fly into Seoul on a clear night. Below the 38th parallel is a brightly light vibrant country. North of it is a black hole filled with starving people ruled by a despot who has a hard on for nukes. Something the South has no interest in obtaining but easily could if it chose to. It seems it wouldn't bother you if it was all like the North. Korea does not look, from any kind of over flight, the way it did 55 years ago. Nor was the failure of the UN to win Korean War an event which began either any sort of inevitable downfall of the communist north, nor any bright future of the south moreover, in Korea, the north suffers from what the south benefits from -- western dollars keep the lights on in the south and the isolation enforced by western powers on the north help keep it dark and hungry
  19. Wars don't offer gains, only losses - sure, there are criminals who come out of wars with wealth but criminals don't need wars to steal
  20. I don't see evidence that the guy exists, let alone that he speaks for Hamas or that he even wrote an article -- the only source offered shows a definite anti-Muslim bias - I am sure that Hamas considers Israel an enemy - the rest seems questionable
  21. Who is Kan´an Ubayd? and what is his function in Hamas? Where is there a copy of his 'article'?
  22. I only use the word that fits. here I would use the phrase, 'vile insulting baiting attempt,' even though the word, 'lie,' might well apply if you need help with the definitions of English words, ask a moderator
  23. bogus Link That last fact is from FBI Supplementary Homicide Report data, 1997. firearms do not make us safer, firearms make us less safe
