  1. Erm.. with the BQ reduced the 4 seats.. the goal is to wipe them off the map. Something the Liberals are incapable of doing and actually fed the strenght of the BQ. If we talk about Quebec in the 70s.. the Separtists actually ran the Province. Its clear to me that many want to revive the Separatists.... for political gain. We are tired of the Separatists parties.. The NDP was the only party to reduce them to squat.. GOOD FOR THEM!!!
  2. Excellent. The Conservatives were guilty and quite frankly, I think EC gave them a slap on the wrist.. regardless.. Lets see Elections Canada get tough with the Elections Canada Imposters..
  3. lol
  4. nothing has changed...good post..
  5. you have little faith.... regardless its time to invest in the ground forces..
  6. Its called a FlipFlop and its one I am happy about..
  7. If the Cons don't trust EC , then a Public inquiry or Royal Commission would be better. Regardless of "Trust" of EC... The Cons were found guilty and accepted their guilt.
  8. Gosh, I bet you would like to see Frank Vallerioti run in a by election too.. While Elections Canada has the right to call a "By-Election" I believe that we are well beyond the "By-Election" and heading towards something serious. I expect to see some fines... some jail time and even now.. We know that it was a Conservative in Guelph involved in the dirty tricks.. We just don't know how many layers are on the onion.
  9. I support a PUBLIC Inquiry or Royal Commission. Then we can target all the Ridings in Question. Voting Irregularties occur in every election. However.. I am well aware in my riding... that no one was allowed to vote without an Address and picture ID. Many government documents were NOT allowed because they failed to have addresses or pictures on them. I also believe its time we get back to ENUMERATING the voters..
  10. I am not aware of any Conservatives who "Should" step down at this time. My problem with the Conservatives is that they are resisting getting to the truth every step of the way. I don't know why they must be dragged kicking and screaming, when common sense dictates what they should be doing and when they do it..the noise goes down a notch. It will be a matter of time before a public inquiry or Royal Commission begin.
  11. Another person wanting to stir the Referendum Pot... Sorry, but thats something left to the Separatist Governments of Quebec... And they have lost ground over the past 30 years of their legal existance. Times have changed... the Young people aren't interested in your old battles..
  12. Not selective at all They are using DIONS numbers.. as DION is the Liberal stirring the pot. As far as I remember the Liberals never the BQ in quebec ... What is clear to me.. is Quebeckers wanted a change.. and many in political want it to go back to the Liberal/BQ divide. I think the people Quebec wants to move away from Divisive politics.. Threads a lightening rod.. I think this is Dions end of days...
  13. The NDP kicked the BQs butt.. Something no party had been able to do successfully ever since the BQ formed after leaving the Progressive Conservatives of Brian Mulroney. If I recall correctly The Conservatives share the "Quebec is a Nation" stance.. "Prime Minister Stephen Harper says he will introduce a motion recognizing that Quebecers form a nation..." and I believe the NDP do as well. The Liberals do Not. That said.. I am very very very happy to see the BQ go... But there are some on this forum that would love to restart the old battle and breath some life back into the smoldering ashes of the BQ. I would rather see people throwing stones at the NDP.. THen having to deal with another 20 years of the BQ dominating Quebec.
  14. For the record.. Dion Vs BQ Dion= 14 seats BQ= 49 NDP vs BQ NDP=59 seats BQ=4
  15. Sorry, but I haven't a clue what you are trying to say... but the votes are tallying up poorly all around.. must be voter suppression lol...
  16. Now with Sona coming out again and proclaiming he did not Contact Elections Canada... Who is the Conservative Operative who confessed to Elections Canada... Any Guesses..
  17. I believe things like The Enron Debacle.. the Worldcom Debacle.. the Stockmarket Ponzi scheme of late, and the housing and marketing collapse have had a dramatic effect on the Canadian Economy running on its 5th year straight... The US economy affects us.. But yes... there are people who want to hype up Greece....or compare us to Greece... its absurd ...
  18. Thats very unusual..
  19. Sona and Christian Conservative... were in church all day... It might be called confession lol...
  20. Interesting comment.. i realize its not yours olpfan1 but a quote , however it begs the question.. Then What are Conservative Insiders doing? Just curious..
  21. If we just ignore the position of the CCF/NDP on electoral reforom and the Social Credit/Reform position of electoral reform... and we only look back to the Liberal era of Jean Chretien and the power base and majority weren't in the mood for electoral reform as they were busy infighting.. and erm.. you would be right.. except that we can't ignore those other parties... Things happen in stages... and things take time... Electoral Reform of the Senate should be an easy goal as the Government and Opposition are in agreement for major change.. no different when it was the 1st and 3rd party... but there was always an excuse.. Elect or abolish.. Abolish or Elect. but instead we get a steady stream of hacks no different the what the Liberals did. Now.. the government could go for electoral reform and even PR in the Senate.. or they could abolish it... Or they could set up a phoney election system where party hacks pretend to run and represent regions... Or they could just appoint hacks... Meanwhile .. as the Government of 5 years hasn't addressed the issues.. Ideas which have existed before.. yes before Harpers win in 2006 are being discussed.. particularly PR. Ideas for Electoral reform which have been openly in the NDP platform since 2004 IIRC. Your position that nobody cared before is not accurate. what is possibly different is that Liberals are discussing this.. which isn't new either... Liberals in Ontario and BC have proposed Electoral Reform.. thats right and NO SIGN OF HARPER IN SIGHT.. And held referendums.. which when given to the public were close in one case and soundly rejected in 2 others. But none of this is new... and none of this is related to Harper.. However, the desire for "Progressives" to want to band together is also not new.. For a history of that .. read Progressive Party... which existe before the Social credit and CCF... So..are Progressives likely to band against the Republican style of government provided by the Harper Government.. I think so..
  22. Time to bump this up.. Elections Canada says they have a confessor to the identity of Pierre Poutine/ I think the impersonation of Elections Canada is close to an end.. yet we may not find out all the details including the name of the confessor for some time to come... Now.. some might want to add in on this or change their vote....
