That's if you believe this tax is designed to do anything to reduce CO2 emmissions to begin with. You have to "BELIEVE" that it will. There is little to suggest that it will have a significant impact if revenue neutral, (maybe even the reverse effect). But if you do believe that a Tax will reduce emmissions, then your argument is valid, and those Gas Taxers should address your information on Diesel vehicles. I don't believe Dion has given it a 2nd thought.

I find it interesting that people all seemed to remember the past for this women, the older past associations, but it took this long to realize their were more immediate associations virtually right up to the point she met with Bernier. I would think the fog of information would be hazier on information 10 years old, how do you overlook the very very recent past? Did the spin doctors think that her recent involvement with Outlaw Bikers wasn't going to be found out? How foolish can one be? Why did she take such an interest in Berniers work, since she was just a travelling companion? And since her boyfriend "committed suicide" just before she met Bernier, perhaps she had other plans in mind when she met him. (how many people died, or committted suicide that she knew?) She was involved in with people in Organized Crime, Outlaw Bikers, Mob right up until she met Bernier. And then she no longer did "Associate" while she was a "travelling companion" Why the would CPC/Government say there is no risk, yet not provide any new information on how they came to that conclusion.

Which will be cured with a tax. ( A revenue Neutral Tax)

I know of companies with Ontario/Alberta operations, flying people in back and forth every two weeks to meet the Labour demands, and deal with the shortage of housing. Ironically one company being a supplier to the housing construction industry.

Must be the way you read it.... how abou this symbol Or this one Back that up . You say it takes no effort to find people who will work for less if paid in Cash. Particularly in Trades and Construction. You and I know that it is true...... People can and will work for less then the minimum wage, and it does happen. There is nothing ideological about this. The only thing in question, is whether Alberta is immune. Just because you don't think it is possible and/or doesn't make sense to you, or it isn't a logical choice, doesn't mean that it doesn't happen, or that people won't do it. If you wish to suggest that there isn't a single person in all of Alberta working for less then the minimum wage. Feel free to do so. I am sure they all have a SIN # too.

Yes, I did. I prefer doing things in Cash.

We paid for Berniers girlfriend to go with him to Afghanistan? Are you sure? Why would the Taxpayer, pay for his girlfriend to travel to Laos and Afghanistan?
-
Why don't you find out. Right now labour demand is so tight, that you would be looking at, transient labour, domestic help, etc. But I am sure you believe that there isn't any, Ever, in the entire province.
-
You are correct with the assertion, the analyses and the examples.

Bernier spent $17,000 to go to LAOS? What FOR? What was he doing there? Why is it such a large sum of money?
-
Why let the source off the hook and profit excessively and be subsidized? While your posts suggest that people who pollute will have MORE money in their pocket because of LARGE income tax breaks. Therefore greater funds to do what they want. Brilliant
-
How is a LARGE income tax credit going to change peoples habits? THis is getting absurd.

Of what concern is it, to the disabled being cared for, the Sexual Orientation of their caregiver? -
There is little comparable to the US system and the UK/Canadian System.

Nothing has been democraticly to denied that every party doesn't have to contend with.

The INTENT of the MST (FST) changing to the GST was to relieve the burden upon manufacturers. Lower the product costs to the consumer, and benefit from the increased sales. It worked, including becoming an excellent tax revenue platform. Relieve the burden on oil companies, lower the cost to the consumer, place CST on consumption and benefit from increased revenue. Of course the government is a net benefitter already in Gas Taxes, at the Pump.
-
And it accomplishes nothing.
-
Remove the subsidies to extract the oil? Remove the Tax Breaks to Extract the oil. And if you want to go one step further, TAX them more? What you are suggesting is STATUS QUO that doesn't do anything to reduce US consumption, nor does it TAX those in the US whom Consume Canadian Oil. That is where the Canadian Oil Goes, You want Change? EXPORT TAX on the OIL. (Insert howls of outrage here)

Still remember when Buzz Hargrove gave Paul Martin a jacket and then said, VOTE FOR THE BQ in an election. Yup, you could just feel the warm fuzzy feelings with the camera panning across Paul Martins Face in shear disbelief. http://www.conservative.ca/EN/1091/100095

Then the institution is part and parcel to accepting the laws of the Province (Providing Physical Care, without violating the HR Code). The Province providing the funding for this endeavour. They must abide by the law. The Province also has the right to choose to continue or remove the current funding, like any othe project. This isn't a private affair, but a public one. Since the funding is virtually all from the Provincial Government, just about any other group, agency, social service or private sector institution would line up to fill the void in a heartbeat. -
Here is some more... The black market in Labour exists in all Provinces.
