More than frothy LOL Harper allegedly had a meeting with Murdoch who has nothing to do with Suncour - oops - don't we mean Quebecor LOL Neither Avaaz, nor the leftwing Guardian et al can get it right... all this frothing over something no one has seen yet, and the hatred for Fox news from people who likely never watch it the people who hate Fox the most are those who watch it the least. -
-
I don't think it's racist, they just don't want a socialist President, heck look where it's got them so far LOL If there is any technicality that deems Obama not to be eligible for the Presidency, they will bury it, there is no way they can afford what will happen. If he were declared ineligible can you imagine the riots ... I don't want to think about it.

It's a good thing - two more coming up LOL

Amazing at the frothing over a freedom of speech and an opportunity to hear (hopefully) a different point of view. Ever heard of a remote, no one is forcing anyone to watch it. Besides, it could be the greatest thing since sliced bread and you all will just love it... so wipe the foam off your mouths and wait until it actually airs.

Where did I say you opposed the channel....

No one should have a category 1 licence, but having said that, why should they not be treated the same as CBC or CVTV, why should they get preferential treatment. I agree morons have a right to free expression, they do it on here regularly LOL

I love it, left wing heads exploding because there is going to be a channel with some opposing viewpoints LOL

Read this excellent piece in the NP, here we have universities shutting down opposing opinions at the same time in the U.S. Al Sharpton and Rockefeller want Fox news closed down.... not to mention Avaaz trying to stop SunTV We should be very afraid.... I love the way the leftwing heads are exploding over this one LOL check this out, after all the accusations etc. it seems that the voting has always been that way, but it sounds as if they do have it under control. I would guess they only count the votes for one email from one IP, duplicate emails/votes from the same IP may not count. So there is oversight. http://www.latimes.com/news/la-et-1118-bristol-palin-20101118,0,222899.story?track=rss&utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+latimes%2Fnews+%28L.A.+Times+-+Top+News%29 As Rush L. said: "The reason they're upset is because they have done their best to make this Palin family persona non grata. They've tried to trash it, besmirch it, impugn it, and the American public is now en masse voting for Bristol Palin." sounds about right to me. IMO she deserves A+ for going on that show knowing how people would behave, it took a lot of guts.

Will the Ontario Budget help hydro customers?
scribblet replied to Topaz's topic in Provincial Politics in Canada
They have admitted that the money to cut hydro bills will be coming from - guess where - your taxes LOL -
In this case it does seem to be appropriate, heck doesn't it really amaze you how some protesters believe that they are defending free speech by denying the other side an opportunity to be heard. Free speech is certainly not alive and well in Canada and this is just another horrific example. What benefit is there to a university education if all it does it teach how to ignore other view points and shut them down rather than to think critically by exploring alternatives. Sad....

Ontario Utilities Donating to Liberal Party
scribblet replied to scribblet's topic in Provincial Politics in Canada
He said likely, no confirmation they they did, but if they did that it also wrong - but you really gotta love those useless hypocritical Liebrals - they are always so full of themselves and IT. -
LOL I'm heading south in a few days and found a place on line that's cheaper than Amazon so will order it when I get down there. Too bad people don't want to read a factual accounting of what happened, and too bad that issues like this cannot be discussed in a civil manner without the name calling, as evidently the name calling does work to suppress viewpoints the left doesn't like. It was a doctoral student too, sheez, but I suppose this is what the universities are churning out these days - too bad.

Islamist groups seek ‘parallel society’ in Canada
scribblet replied to scribblet's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Of course the majority are not okay with it, but enough are radicals to cause huge problems for western society. This is what Europe is facing. http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/3225726/The-Sun-finds-poppy-thugs.html -
Where did I say I would resort to violence pray tell, I said they should be escorted out. Why where they suppressing free speech, why where they preventing an opposing opinion, get it right, they were the ones doing the suppressing. They could've protested outside but chose to prevent someone from speaking. .Read more: http://www.nationalpost.com/news/Latest+tool+free+speech+bike+locks/3832811/story.html#ixzz15S7KOY3x

They should've been escorted out and the speaker allowed to speak, just another example of left wing thugs shutting down free speech. I intend to read Blatchford's book when the library gets it in, if not I'll have to break down and buy it.

There more who support violence then you wish to believe, I don't have anything specific to Canada. If you care to read about European issues you might get a shock. http://network.nationalpost.com/NP/blogs/fullcomment/archive/2010/04/06/stephen-schwartz-why-canadian-muslims-are-different.aspx but we are not immune http://www.canada.com/montrealgazette/news/story.html?id=828ee1ef-29f1-4cee-9e90-b9ce5a8cab77 http://www.jpost.com/Opinion/Columnists/Article.aspx?id=49796 cont... Islamist groups seek ‘parallel society’ in Canada

It might be conducive to the discussion to read the last paragraph of the posted article where Tarek Fatah says about Mennonites: “You can talk about the Mennonites but the Mennonites’ aim in life is not to destroy Western civilization, it is seclusion.” -
Maybe because he really does have principles
