  1. Here's what the RJ Lee group (you know who they are) had to say about those microspheres: IOW: there's nothing unusual about the presence of such particles in WTC dust. If anything, it'd be weirder if they weren't there. As for the molten iron and steel, well, there remains no evidence of such things. The "pools of molten metal" is based on eyewitness statements and not scientific evidence. The "flow of molten steel and iron" is based on a photograph and not scientific evidence. So I guess the question is: why won't you discuss the science?
  2. What I don't get with the Ramsay Bolton storyline is: what's the payoff? We've seen him torture Theon, rape Sansa, hunt girls for sport with dogs, face down the Ironborn with nothing but a knife and his schmeckel, skin people alive blah blah blah: by now we pretty much get it. He's a bad guy. Is the idea then that when he does get his comeuppance that we'll appreciate it all the more? Because we probably would have been stoked to see him get spitted a half dozen atrocities ago. Or is it just Game of Thrones once again delighting in rubbing our faces in its edginess and realism (in a show, again, that features dragons)?
  3. Why are you unable to answer the simple question I put forward? Again: in order to scientifically prove the NIST hypothesis that the stream was molten aluminum was incorrect, one would have to have performed an analysis of the material in question. Was such an analysis performed? If so, by whom? Where are the results of their study and the subsequent peer review? Without a proper scientific analysis of a sample of the material, it's impossible to say definitively one way or another what it was. As such, molten aluminum cannot be ruled out. Neither, I suppose, could molten iron, steel, adamantium, or unobtanium. It would certainly not be very scientific to make any categorical pronouncements one way or another.
  4. You mean when I took the logic of your ridiculous, lie-filled 9-11 theory to pieces a few pages back? Yeah that was pretty thorough. Left you speechless. One simple question regarding the liquid material coming out of the WTC: who performed a chemical analysis of it?
  5. Already did so multiple times and you just ignored it. No point in engaging someone who is just here to troll for attention.
  6. Not really. By winning the war, the Lannisters and Crown have consolidated their power enough that there's no other noble house who can stand up to them except for the Tyrells, which is why Cersei sought to marginalize them with the Faith Militant. Not a great plan as it turns out, but the intention was clear.
  7. Who is left who can, though? Her child? Uncle Kevan left in disgust, Mace Tyrell was ineffectual to begin with and was shunted off to Braavos anyway, Qyburn is her creature. That's about it for movers and shakers in the capital.
  8. "Avengers: Age Of Ultron" was basically "The Avengers" but bigger. More characters, more explosions, more easily dispatched henchmen (henchrobots?), more of everything except plot and characters. I guess if you have a money-printing formula, there's not much reason to change it up, but I really felt like I saw this film a couple of times before. God help me, though, but I still had a blast watching it.
  9. Hey maybe you should post that BS link again, that';s sure to change our minds.
  10. How many times is this guy going to spam this thread with the same link?
  11. Is it just me or has this show's insistence on unhappy endings made it rather dull and predictable?
  12. Cersei set up the Faith Militant and armed them. The Faith has popular support. We saw last week that the Kingsguard is powerless.
  13. It's been fun, but I think it's time we bid you farewell, loser.
  14. Is that the brain medication you are currently off?
  15. Except above, where I refuted it. Would you actually address the points if I did provide a source? I have no reason to believe you would.
  16. I got to give you credit: most people, after having been as thoroughly trounced on a point as you have been on this one, would either recant, or shift focus to some other line of argument. Your willingness to keep hammering this single, easily refuted aspect of the whole story is either almost admirable stubbornness or the sign of a truly broken mind.
  17. The guys who built the Titanic thought it was unsinkable too. And did he actually analyze the composition of this "little river of steel"? No? Then that's hardly scientific. Think harder!
  18. Yup. If the towers were destroyed with nanothermite or mini-nukes or whatever, the obvious question is: who put them there? Why and how?
  19. They've streamlined things, but also made some serious digressions ie. Sansa at Winterfell, Ser Barristan dying, Seer Friendzone getting greyscale etc etc. I think it's quite possible we've seen the last of the Ironborn. Yara left planning to tell her father that Theon was dead. Having them come along and help Stannis wipe out the Boltons would be an awesome twist, but I won't hold my breath. That's another change from the books: the Ironborn are set to be major players in the books. re: Lannisters. Yeah that was always the case. ironically for them, the best possible candidate for keeping the family from fading completely is the guy who killed dear old dad on the crapper.
  20. Jon Snow going North also sets up a potential sort-of family reunion next season. I'm pretty sure based on the pre-season trailer for the show that Brienne is gonna end up at the wall. Been thinking about this and there's a couple of threads hanging that need to come through: 1. Theon's sister. Are we done with the Ironborn after that aborted rescue attempt last season? 2. Brotherhood Without Banners: Tyrion mentioned Thoros of Myr this season: will everyone's favourite red priest and flaming-sword-wielding zombie outlaws be back or are they going to just fade into the background?
  21. Called it: JSO can't handle argument, can't handle logic, doesn't understand science, but buddy can paste a mean wall of text.
  22. 1. The only evidence of a liquid metal coming from the towers is photographic; no samples exist 2. Without samples, it is impossible to scientifically determine its composition. 3. Without scientific analysis, any and all theories as to the composition would be unfalsifiable and purely speculative In short: we don't know what it is, we can't know what it is and anyone who says they know what it is is just guessing. You don't need a source for that, just a basic understanding of logic and science.
