  1. PRETTY MUCH THE SAME THING, A TRANSITIONAL GOVERNMENT
  2. Duh, you just find out about newspapers? It's called a tranistional government. Those two words have been the keystone of this whole operation for awhile now. Glad you finally came aboard!
  3. Black Dog, you made me laugh! Good one. Myself, as August I think noted, am one of the people that don't have the time to read countless memos and reports. I, like the rest of the democratic world (which includes countries that have elected term governments, elected a leader, not a follower. I cast a ballot to hopefully become one of the majority in order to have him or her carry out what I hold to be good choices. Whether I agree until next election, can't say, but believe it or not, I like the rest of the minority who didn't get their candidate of choice in office, and the majority, will be living in a dictatorship until the next opportunity to practice democracy..
  4. Kidding right? Thread was dead and burried for weeks, you come along and feel it is so important that you devote 1/3 of your posting history to it. This was number three for you wasn't it? Welcome aboard LOL! Now onto more serious issues .......... like people who practice inbreeding and a chaste type of racism along with wasting millions of our dollars, and the people who love them.
  5. Yes it is. The house or apartment fire that makes the front page every now and then is indicative of this phenomina. It carries the caviate in the last para usually, after the 'lost everything' and 'luckily Boiwser, the family dog made it out alright.' It reads all too familiarly, 'The Browns were uninsured, anyone wishing to make donations can call 123-4567.' They expect society to make up for the insurance premiums they were too stupid or cheap to dish out likee the rest of us? I actually gave to a family here in town awhile back, they were insured but needed some stuff to get them through the first few days, that I can agree to. It is the ones that are to stupid or cheap to fork out a paltry $20 a month or whatever for content insurance that I can't abide by. Not that this has anything to do with the aid worker who was taken hostage. However, on that note, I will say that he is talking about going back. OK, dedicated and stupid?.
  6. You lumped the right together so I merely returned the favor.
  7. Sure hope you are right. The thought of China with a bad economy scares the hell out of me. As for hating or liking the US, countries don't like each other or hate each other. They form alliances with each other and then those alliances ultimately fall apart after the common goals have been reached. The US for example, provided the backbone of NATO as it protected Europe from the Soviet Union for a half century. During this time they were united against a common enemy and got along quite well. When that threat was removed it got back to the business of everybody vying for dominence with the France, Germans and so on and forth forming new alliances to seek dominence. Part of the strategy is to become more influencial than the US is. No surprise, it a natural progression. Your comments about the Russians and India etc are very astute, thanks to peace and Democratic and social reform they are about to reap the rewards of capitalism and provide for their people. If you view that as a failure for the US it is not. A prosperous country is one in which peace and security thrives and posses little threat to it's nighbors or the rest of the world.
  8. You mean the $50,000 ring stolen by a Left Wing leader and the '$100 million adscam and $1 billion gun registry sinkhole' as carried out by the Left vs the MANY billions of GST imposed by a party that no longer exists? You know, the tax that the Left promised to get rid of but never did?
  9. SUN ARTICLE SAT 17 APRIL Zero tolerance unless you are famous. This guy belongs in jail, whatever his personal problems are. Maybe there, away from all that 'pressure' he can find his way.
  10. I thought Hamas was a terrorist organisation. Scince you feel it is not, what type of organisation is it?
  11. Poor Sven, fesses up the very first time he stole. What an honest guy.
  12. Just like Saudi Arabia and Kuwait. We call them 'Little America' where I come from. All those troops running around and hassling the locals. Yep, I can see how the troops presence has gone from a hundred thousand and change to .... well, a hundred thousand and change. BTW, nice opinion articles you offer as proof, and dated a little as well. Got anything recent? You know, this year? Boy, wait until the World finds out about this! The Iraqi people are not going to be very happy either, they thought they were getting a transitional Government and then elections come next year. You would think those nasty Americans would simply pay Saddam some cash to supply them with oil instead of spending all this money ($500 Billion) and trouble. Or simply install a puppet instead of going through this elaborate sham over the next few years. I mean, it must be hard to control 25 members of a council, one or two, not so bad, but 25 of them? Challabi rules the roost there for sure.
  13. Let me ask you to put something in solid context before you just drop that on the table as a quasi fact and move on Black Dog. Unless there is a gem in there that is a fact it is nothing but opinion. THIS IS THEM AND THIS IS WHAT THEY DO AND CONTROL As for real soverignty, yes I agree but I think the main aim is to get the US troops out of Iraq, not put more in wouldn't you agree? I mean, if they wanted to control the place, why go through this sham of trying to set up governments, write constitutions and all?
  14. The guy is a thief, that is what he is. Not a misunderstood whatever but a thief. What do you do with thieves? He wants to return to work, let him, see how far he gets next election. OK, I feel bad that he is a thief. All better now? Oooo! Got me there. He is not a thief then, he is a person who stole.
  15. Thanks for setting it straight Black Dog. I imagine that now you have put it in that context it would go along the reasoning of a trapped Mountain Climber or something. They know the risks and all, we rescue them and then charge the bill back. It is an interesting debate though, the US went through it with those Christian aid workers girls in Afganistan.
  16. Didn't catch it. Got a link? Does it have anything to say about how we are all troubled and all? If it does, it's BS because nobody I know goes around ripping private business owners off except for Government and the Banks. We all seem to do pretty upfront business around here. IOWs, he is scum. You want him back?
  17. Good point Lonius. Maybe a UPO (United Press Organization) so these people can take care of themselves. They go over and report what they choose to see. They are on their own.
  18. Tried it before, try it again. Does anybody support our guys?
  19. May as well vote for her. She's for immigrants, I only live here. Is there a place I can go where I can get some support?
  20. The guy is messed up in the head. Therefore, any action taken during his tenure in politics is suspect. Which ones were made when he was under the illusion of 'if I'm wrong, the world will understand' and which were 'this is the right thing to do?' Crying at a press conference, cut me some slack! He goes to the middle east and makes decisions on people's lives for crying out loud. All with the rightiousness of one who knows reality and it's consequences. He's another idiot that can't even handle day to day life without falling apart. Leader?
  21. Beautiful Goldie. You Rock!
  22. Wow. Thanks for the scoop Black Dog. It will go to them in some amount for sure but the bulk will go to Iraq, if it doesn't, Iraq will fall. Rather quickly I might add, necessitating either another massive $500 Billion Military effort by the US to quell a whole country in an uprising, not just a Cleric and a band of Fundementalists, or the whole area falls apart. Wanna bet the bulk goes to Iraq? Anyhow, it seems to be on the up and up. Nothing suspicious happening here, but I suppose you and some others can find a rat anywhere. BTW, did you locate the Russian, Chinese and French ones out before the war? READ THIS PLEASE Not only seemingly on the up and up, if any loose cash was floatting around, it would be gobbled up pretty quick by things like this; As for US involvement in the 'Oil Grab' they will have to fight off these guys among many others;
  23. Uh, I haven't thought any different scince WMD changed to 'Regime Change' a month before the invasion. Put two and two together, add in the oil revenues that would be used to rebuild, the central location of Iraq, the little to be missed by anybody Dictator and you understand quickly why it was Iraq and not Lybia, North korea, Syria, Iran and son on and forth. A mighty ambitious enterprise that wouldn't have sold very well as it would have been deemed impossible, but here we are watching it happen. I take it from the reaction of the people of the world when they were presented with a legitimate reason when all thought there was WMD (Ted Kennedy, Chirac, Clinton, Gore and more than you can count) that if Democracy Seeding was the reason it would have been a tough sell. Probably the reason why they were de-emphsized.
  24. Might sound like two Stars passing on compliments but Lonius, I nearly had to reach for the kleenex when I read your words of wisdom. Normally when I read your drivel I bring over the village idot to decipher it for me LOL, but this time however, it was crystal clear, and so astute. Well said!
  25. Thank you for the candor Michael. We are and were. However, years after Iraq is sucessfully in the hands of a government chosen by the people and is a threiving, self determined country, we will still not know if the action in Iraq acheived the desired results on the War on Terror. That remains to be seen years and decades from now.
