Sex Offender Registry: Is It Just?
KrustyKidd replied to betsy's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
No, this is about kids and they don't have to thought of as they are the main benificiaries of this program. Uh huh. And then when they do their time, they get on the registry. Your point is .....? Uh huh. You can send your sone to Michael Jackson's for the weekend but it won't be any of my kids. If you choose not to look at the registry you can go right ahead. Your children will be happy to know you are politically correct, even if you care not or have no idea who in your neighborhood may or may not still be waiting to molest a child. Even with the info right in front of your eyes. No, that was one argument put forth. The point is to know where the increased danger to children lies so that they can be better protected by avoiding those people. When you're dealing with your own kids, stats mean squat. -
Sex Offender Registry: Is It Just?
KrustyKidd replied to betsy's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Wrong. It would enable parents to make damm sure their kids stayed away from that person. You people seem to be having a hard time seeing the evil that these people commited and, how everything possible must be done to minimize the danger, including warning children and parents of specific individuals who are proven to have commited these types of crimes. It is far eaier to find a person who has never commited a sex crime than to find one who only did it once. You can go right ahead and play roulette with your kid's life by ignoring the fact that these people exist and are among you all you want, but mine, nope. Then maybe this is why you don't see how inhuman these people are, and how a registry should be in place. See, they didn't commit a crime like using a date rape drug on a girl that is out and about on the town on a friday night and has the mental and possible physical ability to defend hereself. They entered into the sanctity of the home and nieghborhood where kids should be able to be kids. Planned, lured and took advantage of somebody that has absolutely no opportunity to defend themselves. Destroying a person just to get off and, those people who loved that person. You find that at an equal evil level as a drunken colledge kid who doesn't understand that 'no' means 'no'? Wow. No wonder you don't get it with a comparisson like that. Being labelled something without proof and being confirmed as capable of destroying a helpless child's whole life I think are a little different. Correct. And death if we had capital punishment in this country. These people are evil and not able to be rehabilitated with the surity of success required to be admitted into a trusting society with any reasonable degree of safety for our children. Wrong. Children are our future. Children are us, the embodiement of imortality and, are also a very large population group. Far bigger than any other potential victim quorum you can come up with. And, they are helpless to thwart people like this if attacked instead trusting us to do it for them. Given your opinions you seem to be betraying that trust best you can. -
Sex Offender Registry: Is It Just?
KrustyKidd replied to betsy's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
No. Let's set up a registry so that the most vulnerable and fragile members of our society don't have to be sacrificial bait to see if these evil people without conscience have been rehabilitated or not. You people seem to be against the registry because it is an error on the part of the government. Hit on them, they are the ones who let them out. Here, I shall attempt to put this in a different perspective. A class two set of rapids is negotiable by a novice in normal conditions. Now, say that that set of rapids is on a remote river in the NWT, and, has cliffs on either side negating any escape if things go south, then add in the prospect of a forty foot waterfalls immediately after the only pullout for your canoe. That set of rapids is viewed as a class four now because of the risk and, there being no margin for error. Such is the case here. The government has to let them out but, we all know that there is no margin for error. -

KrustyKidd replied to betsy's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Hey, I'm all for that! In the meantime, let's set up a registry so that the most vulnerable and fragile members of our society don't have to be sacrificial bait to see if these evil people without conscience have been rehabilitated or not. -
They are so messed up they are doing it backwards. They were supposed to stop freedom of the press but so far, the press is all negative government. Then they were supposed to build a private army but so far, not one anti government person has been dragged away to a Gulag. Man, the Neocons can't do anything right, even cater to moron conspriacy theorists. That WWII thing was a pretty complicated affair to stage. No wonder 911 was a snap for them. No planes, no cell phones able to penetrate air waves. Man, and the U2 incident was a Muslim Extremist being returned to sender with intelligence to deliver. Wow, this could go somewhere. BTW, was Hitler a pro Israel agent in some convoluted way in your world? I mean, this all has to fit into a conspiracy right so let's have it. How about Breznev and them, were they pro Muslim Exremists hired by the US Miliatary Industrial whatever? The truth is out there.

Lowering the flag for slain soldiers?
KrustyKidd replied to betsy's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
And, for every person that dies on the highways, dropping a forklift over a loading dock, stumbling off a ladder or whatever. Hell, let's just dump the flag in the toilet. Hell, why have a flag at all if every old bugger that kicks off from rectal cancer gets a half masted planting? Where do you draw the line? I had always thought that in times of peace, an event such as a publicized death was an event, and as such, lesser profile people are elevated to state status with a half staff flag. However, when it becomes more and more common, the bar gets raised. It's not out of political expedience but rather common sense. To counter this comment which has no place in this thread I will say we are in a battle for Western Civillization. The fact that you don't know it doesn't change it. Carry on as if normal. Out. -
I am a very nervous driver so, I find that I am more carful negotiating my sevnty five foot semi in and out of Brooklyn after I've had a few shots of Jack Daniels. Many a foxy lady has told me I'm pretty mellow after I've had a few. Gettin' my piot's licsense soon too. May have to switch to Vodka though and another brand of mouthwashas flying really makes me nervous and uptight so will need to be 'extra relaxed' if you know what I mean. There's a roadside test for alcohol, not for drugs. If the only test for booze was one in which they could only tell that you had had a drink in the last three months but not verify you sobriety then they would probably make driving illegal with alcohol in any amount in your system. I believe that softer drugs should be legal but, in order to smoke you should forfit your pilot's, driver's, medical, heavy equipment and whatever else permit you hold other than a bus pass. Then, when you wish to upgrade from foot to wheel, you go for a test and then get your permit upgraded for a month or two until you test negative again. That way, nobody's rights get infringed and a doctor's patient doesn't have to wonder how 'relaxed' the surgeon really is.

Sex Offender Registry: Is It Just?
KrustyKidd replied to betsy's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
And worse. They prey upon the most helpless and fragile beings. Beings that no person with any shred of a soul would never consider harming. Thus, they are the embodiement of evil in this world. While a prison stay may change some of the core values of a person, it does not replace a soul that is black and shrivelled. Sure, they have paid their debt to society, that's why I don't hunt them all down myself and many like me, however, that does not mean that we have to unknowingly offer our children to them as a test of their rehabilitation. Until they make registries illegal, I'm all for them in this case. -
Sex Offender Registry: Is It Just?
KrustyKidd replied to betsy's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Nope. I'm not a freak but, they are out there. Legally it's called a pardon. I can shout from the highest rooftops that somebody has a criminal record though as long as it is within legal boundaries and does not constitute harassment. Tabloids do it all the time. If a freak didn't like aged bag swinging actresses then saying Za Za did this and that would result in her death. Give me a break. Oh well, some like coke with rye and others straight up. So what? They are legal and some really feel good about them. They certainly would have arrested that freak if he hadn't killed himself so he broke the law, not the registry. I suppose that you also think the manufacturer of the gun was at fault as wel along with the truck driver who transported it to the store? I went into a bit above. Myself, these peole are beyond humanity and are evil. Not maybe, but affirmed. Killing for a dollar is far less than killing a soul for an orgasm. There is something far more unhuman at work in those heads than greed. So, I don't mind a registry. If some use it as a viligante locatin device then that's another problem. And, like you say, let the police handle it. -
Sex Offender Registry: Is It Just?
KrustyKidd replied to betsy's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Quick theisis on this subject. First, there is nothing abnormal about wanting to screw a child. Check out classical Greek versions of what is beautiful and not. Sexual desire has always been for the young and virile subjects. Pretty much every person has a deep dark sexual desire and fetish of some kind. Some like big boobs or big (VP Cheny's first name) or other specific things that 'get them off' and fill their fantasys. Some like animals, others leather. Most range within the normal when it comes to the subject of their desire as in opposite sex or same sex but the common denominator is that the suject is a willing one, both cognisent and able to control the situation equally as much as possible. And here is where the evil occurs, because up until now, there is actually nothing abnormal or evil happening. When the suject is unwilling as in a rape victim, that is heinious. When it is a child, it is unthinkably evil as the child cannot physically defend themselves and mentally have no understanding of how even if they could. To top that off, to a developing mind, an act such as this can form a basis for dysfunctions that last eternity. To selfishly act on an urge with this as the consequenses, the perpetrator shows not his sexual preferences but, how low and unhuman he or she will go to 'get off.' They throw away all boundaries of decency, morality, humanity and go into the side of the mind that is capable of murder as they have basically shown that they have no soul as they are killing a soul that cannot defend themselves for the rest of their lives. For that, there is no cure. These people are akin to Hitler, in that the eveil they are capable of is ingrained and unless there is a SOUL INJECTING MACHINE on the market, they will remain so with or without a sexual urge. Hence, there's nothing wrong with letting the world know where they are. Heck, if double parked BMWs were the worst offence on earth they should be listed too but, there are far worse things to pay attention to and this is one of them. It's not a sexual crime, it's a crime against humanity. And, if those who choose to act and murder these people based on whatever and the listing on an internet site or whatever, heck, we all in the phone book man. Some freak could randomly pick my nuber tommorow. -
It is a certainty that Iran will never acheive nuclear capability, that's why all this talk is just mental hubris. Ignoring the actual issues that are happening. It boogles my mind to see intelligent people going on and on about things which are almost akin to Martian Space invaders or far fetched conspiracy theories. Who will do Iran? Politics is who. That's all this whole show is about. Posturing for a post Saddam Gulf. Now, I'm just guessing here, but, am willing to bet an internet buck that Israel has open communicatins through the back door with Iran.

Wikipedia on 9/11 Conspiracies
KrustyKidd replied to Michael Hardner's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Those 'experts' were in on it. Probably Israeli agents or worse, US government or whatever. The truth is out there. Just need to open the mind is all. -
I take that answer to mean that you would rather live in Palestinian territory then?

They hold a greater represntation than their population dictates in the government as well, if things go completely south, they would be the gravitational center for any 'Jihad' in the event of civil unrest recieving Sunni aid from Saudi Arabia and other countries. Not quite the nieghbor they wish to have. On a personal scale yes, but countries have needs other than emotinal gratification. The US is their solution and why they are negotiating. Iraq is not an Iranian puppet nor will it ever be. Cooperation with Sunni elements in government is a necessity to the Iraqi Shites and, a genuine concern for the Iranians. They cannot do much other than give support to elements that will eventually be burried in the political process and then, later be looked upon as beligerent interfereers so, what they do is limited. Hence, the US is their ticket into the political side where the future lies, whether they are getting 'lumped' or lauded is well below secondary concern.

Iran is not going to be attacked. Why people are even considering this I have no idea. It is a given that they will never have a bomb and everybody knows that - both the west and they. So, there is no need to attack as they know there is no possibility they will have one. It is not in Iran's interest to be attacked as they will lose more than they gain. While a controlled society they also have a modern populace and as such, cannot get away with the propaganda that other less 'intelligent' societies of the region can. Hence, a trade off for rigiousness in a Jihadistic war would not get the same milage as it would elsewhere. It is posturing for relevence and a display of wieght in the region is all it is. With back and as of late, front door channels open to the US, nothing is being missed between the two. With the recent acknowledgement that they have the material to begin work on the reactors and such the Iranians have stepped up the chess game. If they were intent on making a bomb, why announce? Just build. The Euros have pretty much given up as they hold no sway over the events unfolding here and for good reason, it is regional power, not military but influence. The Iranians see an opportunity and a possible problem in Iraq and they need US help to work it out. hence the front door channels and the nuclear brinkmanship with nukes they will never acheive. They need the Euro pressure placed on the US to work out a solution, they need the US in Iraq as well to ensure Sunni dominence does not occur through any political process. They need to hold back the modern world even if their polulation is modern. They are playing a fine hand from what I can tell. Whackjob nutbar phsyco president and a visual and more moderate ex leader both seem to share some sort of power at different times. Very interesting indeed. Good cop, bad cop depending on the message they wish to deliver. I mean, one day, they get atttion from the sheeple of the world by scaring them, then, to quell the warhaks, they send in the ex and he shows how they can still be dealt with. Almost think they were looking for something.

Nor is it doing much to get a Palestinian state. So, who is doing better, Palestinians living in squalor with less and less to work with or Israelis who enjoy a western standard of living? I know where I would rather live so to me, seems the terrorism is not working very well.
-
War is not inevitable, in fact, it is very unlikely. The whole goat show is politics and nothing more. Iran knows it will never acheive a nuclear weapon, hence, their attempts are all show. If Israel believes they have that capability or are close to it, they will take them out. If they do not, the US will. Simple factual givens. Everybody knows that. So, what is the bluster about? Party politics and staying in power in an ever moderized world for the religious leadership in Iran. They use the nuclear issue to get attention and to place pressure on the US through the EU in order to have leveraged political power over events in Iraq. Reason: a democratic, sucessful Iraq is a threat to their cultural and economic power in the region and, they hope to temper that by having more influence on the political scene there through the US. I adressed this here in part Stratfor

Your quote Black Dog but the reply is to Hollis as well. Anything in your closet or home with 'made in (name of any middle eastern country)' on it? Didn't think so. Myself, I have a couple of bottles of Israeli wine as well as a computor program from there I use. The garage I get work done every now and then has a lathe made in Haifa or somthing but nothing from Ridjiah or Mecca. Been to Israel and the West bank. Nice fertile and managed green country turns into garbage strewn rock in seconds as you drive by. How do you starve a lazy person? Hide their paycheck under their work boots. Self examination is not a virtue of Arabs.
-
No, far different. One will never allow the other to exist in any form if they have their way while the other recognizes the fact they have a right to live there. A very very big difference that seems to escape most of the anti Israel crowd. No idea but can tell you one sure thing, as long as the official line of Plaestinians is to make the country for them only, nothing is going to change. Hence, they are the biggest roadblock.
-
And bear in mind that thousands of years ago this and that and that and this. The situation is what is here on the ground now. Ten million people all in one spot and four of them living under a government that wishes to destroy the other six and then move in. No secondary possibility, no compromise, just death and hatred. It's amusing in a sort of sad way to watch appoligists try to shift blame around when in reality, there is only one solution - for them to live together without blaming one another. Citing who is at fault, who is right and wrong only ignores the solution - to live together with compromise. And, not even recognizing the existence of one of them by the other is not very productive to this end. As is calling for their deaths and or exile.

(in response to Palestinians being suicidal hillbillys) Very Tolerent There is a gentler side however, once they own the entire show, the Religions can live in peace under the banner of Islam.

When terrorism stops, the hard liners take more land. When terrorism starts, they offer land as a concession. Then when terrorsim stops, the hard liners take more land ............. therefore, terrorism works. Got it. Now this whole thing might have a shred of intellectual equity but for the fact that Palestinians don't see it as strategicly as you. They simply want to erradicate Israelis from the whole region, not get a foot of land back. They want it all. Assuming they are an equal cause I disagree, they're not bigoted suicidal hillbillys intent on killing everybody that isn't them. And, in an area where there is so much of that, it is in the interest of the West to promote a nation that has a shred of sanity. Hey, I'd be all for it but I don't want to see millions of Arabs get killed. I like to think that somehow, sanity wil prevail and the Palestinians will stop the tantrums and face the reality that they have to live with the world the way it is rhater than the way they wish it was.
