Or they could join the CHP, the seemingly only federal pro-life party. -
The Great Green Con #1 GW Forecasts Wrong Again

Try a scientific journal, not some journalistic tabloids. -
"It may not rank alongside the storming of the Bastille but a gathering of 20 or so Conservative MPs Monday night is the closest the ruling caucus has come to revolution during its seven years in power." http://fullcomment.nationalpost.com/2013/03/26/john-ivison-backbench-revolt-the-closest-thing-to-a-revolution-harpers-seen-yet/ When the bill to criminalize selective abortion failed to pass the committee to be voted upon, well that was the straw that broke the camel's back. Not exactly a revolution within the party as seen with the Australian Labor Party. However, stranger things have happened in politics and it no exception to Canada (think the NDP result in 2011 election, who would have even predicted that at the beginning of that election?). Could the rope that bind the merger of the Reform and PC somehow started to unravel and will continue to do so (perhaps Reform 2.0 and PC 2.0)? Or is it one of those political hiccups that will soon pass over like a nasty hang-over?

You're doing that, not me.

He supports the senate and sees no problem with it (despite all the rash of recent scandals). That's literally all I can gather from him. On the gun registry, keystone pipeline, quebec separatist movement, divisive politics, transgendered right, etc - he flips flop more than Romeny.

Liberal Leadership comes down to Toronto Boomers for Justin
Sleipnir replied to punked's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
I find it interesting that the Liberal Party won't reveal how many people sign up for membership. -
Just how fiscally conservative are these Conservatives?

Wasn't it Manning who made the pedophile commments? If so, then yes it far too late to bring him back. -
1) In other words - open a biology textbook not a book written by obscured authors. 2) You're probably thinking of third-hand information.

Less than half register for liberal leadership vote!
Sleipnir replied to WWWTT's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
I actually believe that the shrinking of the Liberal party is part of a global pattern of shrinking liberal parties around the world - widening the chasm between left and right wing parties. All this because of the world shrinking due to social media. I could elaborate much more on this, but it would required a new thread. -
"How does intelligent design work?" The same way creationism work since those two terms are the same thnig.

Are you referring to the 'folding arrow' when you view quotes? Maybe post a screenshot and highlight what you're referring to?

Less than half register for liberal leadership vote!
Sleipnir replied to WWWTT's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Yes there were reports of multiple people signing up under the same email, one case there were 150 individuals signing up under the same email. I'm shocked (well maybe that not shocked) that the Liberals have not been prepared for these kind of problems. -
No, because the way I see it those terms are what we classified things as - you need to make a statement regarding matter and/or microbes to be either factual or not. Otherwise it would equivalent to saying, are apples concluded as fact? What the heck does an apple has to do with being a fact?

Less than half register for liberal leadership vote!
Sleipnir replied to WWWTT's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Out of 117,000 how many people actually paid into membership? Even the NDP manage to get around 129,000 card carrying members by the time the ballot was cast for the new leader. Beside, the liberal leadership race ended before it even started when Justin announced his intention to run for leadership. So there wasn't any real reason to sign up to support what already been predetermined. I think the white smoke will appear after the first round with Trudeau being the obvious winner. -

Understand that evolution occurs intrinsically with micro and macro evolution. I have a feeling that you're pointing towards micro-evolution as an indication that macro-evolution is false - hence your persistant conclusion that evolution is wrong. You cannot reasonably consider one (micro-evolution) over the other (macro-evolution) when both are intrisically related. Think of macro and micro evolution as hydrogen and oxygen molecules that makes up water. You can't reasonably talk about water if you're gonna talk exclusively about the oxygen molecules.
-
The concept of evolution is not meant to find the origin of life - but rather focus on how life changes through evolutionary history.

Betsy, part of science is continually try and challenge what we know by analyzing whatever comes to our attention. When it comes to evolution, there are absolutely no credible or solid information that remotely contradicts the idea of evolution. However, not all aspect of evolution are easily explained and requires further understanding in the said aspect. Example, I recall from my textbook that natural selection do not easily explain sexual dimorphism in birds - I know there are people currently looking into this phenomenon.

But not 200 years ago when we retorted to religious texts when 'we don't know'.

Then we don't have the right technology to find the answer at the current time.
