  1. That is funny, funny stuff. We would have met our Kyoto targets, despite a decade of inaction by the Liberals because the Conservatives have been in power for 13 months. Credibility Stéphanie. Credibility. That is the key. That one doesn't even pass the laugh test.
  2. Hmmm, the whole idea of RRSPs is to transfer money from hgher income years to lower income years. People who don't understand that are the real idiots.
  3. Something tells me they can't afford to run response ads.
  4. His big screw up with Income Trusts was making the promise in the first place. Guaranteed, nobody will campaign on reversing the issue. Real, Canadians who *aren't* blind partisans will give him a pass. There truly was too much revenue being lost by conversions. Hard to argue with someboy who breaks a promise because keeping the promise isn't in the best interest of the electorate as a whole.
  5. I think you are more disgusted by how disciplined Harper has been in following the Chretien playbook to a T and the strong likelihood he will win Government again as a result.
  6. If she is representative of most investors in Income Trusts that would have been what happened. You don't know her but you are willing to take her word at face value only when it supports your viewpoint?
  7. Here's one. He was inclusive and made places for all his leadership rivals in his team. I have never claimed to be non-partisan and chastised others for being *blindly partisan* at the same time. Care to explain why you singled me out? Quid pro quo...
  8. Oh come now we're not all that bad We have to be. It's coming from a self-professed person who is not a "blind partisan". If a true independent could say something like that it must be self-evident to all but the truly blind Conservative followers and the truth.
  9. And they made 65,000 of that loss back within the next month. Very important omission. Convenient too.
  10. Exactly. Besides if the Liberals campaign on reversing trusts it will become a huge story because everyone knows they can't realistically go back to the way trusts were. That would become the issue of the campaign, plus lacking Liberal credibility. Income trusts will stay in the spotlight for another two or three weeks then slowly fade away...
  11. While they were getting hammered on Dion's flip flopping. Was he able to stay with the same thought for a whole day?
  12. As a Canadian he is your Prime Minsiter. Funny how facts can get in the way of the indignation of entitles lefties.
  13. Yeah, whatever Ralph...
  14. I'll take your word for it...with the implosion of the PQ/BQ alliance, anything is possible. That is the reason I have picked those seats. I haven't seen regional numbers but I am guessing the Conservative resurgence is due to picking up soft separatists as opposed to the angry Liberals who voted for them last time.
  15. There are a lot less ignorant and inflammatory ways to say it. You are damn rights you hit a nerve calling me a Nazi. That's just f*ckin' rude and demeaning to the millions of Jews who died in the camps. Grow the hell up.
  16. I know I have already done this for you before Geoff, but here you go. Six 'realistic' seats.... Gaspésie—Îles-de-la-Madeleine Chicoutimi—Le Fjord Roberval—Lac-Saint-Jean Québec Portneuf—Jacques-Cartier (Assuming André Arthur doesn't run again. Cancer will do that to you...) Richmond—Arthabaska
  17. Interesting. I spent fall of 2005 in Chicoutimi and heard Dumont speak at UQÀC. He seemed to be appealing to the crowd...
  18. I think the Star is trying to give Dion a boost. If the Liberals really were credible on the environment they would be in majority territory. They aren't. I suspect the next round of Conservative contrast ads will point that out.
  19. Leaders set priorities. Dion isn't a leader. Probably gonna lose the next election. One and done. Poor, poor Stéphanie....
  20. No, I'm not a filmmaker. Why do you ask? It wouldn't be anything as abhorrent as comparing supporters of our democratically elected Government to the Nazis, would it? Or is such a weak and terribly offensive analogy make you feel better. Such ignorance is really terrible, but I will take it as a very left-handed compliment that you can't refute any of my points.
  21. Has the growth in their support been concentrated or is it spread throughout the province?
  22. An 8 or 9% flat tax rate? woo, to stay in balance at least $50 billion would have to be cut out of the Federal budget with those rates? Where do the cuts start?
  23. In an editorial. Getting rich by working to save the environment isn't credible Stéphane. Try again.
  24. Very solid point. To add to that Telus converting to Income Trusts provided them incentive for doing an incredibly short-sighted thing for a technology company. Cutting their investment in R & D. Somebody please explain this one?
  25. *Right wing* for Quebec. The last Léger poll had them at 24% in the nation within our nation. Considering they only got 18% in the last election that looks like it *should* get them more seats. All depends if the support is concentrated or spread out through the province.
