Capitals and grammar are education of the ancients. We are educating for the 21st century, and that is why there is a big push for 21st century skills. Spelling, capitals, etc., things that you think are important aren't in today's global hi-tech world. Your type of education is stuck in the 50s. Teachers deserve every cent they get. If Onatarians want to drive their polluting SUVs then they should pay more to use the roads, and they should pay more to renew liceneses. Teachers mould the future. Taxes keep society running. I don't know why some of you don't feel you should have to pay taxes for the better of all people. That's selfish and shamful. I will gladly pay my taxes to help out society at large. some tea partiers may ot be happy with the deal teachers got but who cares about the whack jobs of society? congratulations to kathleen wynne and the ontario liberal party for righting all their wrongs in their past dictator style dealings with ontario teachers. wynne has come through and given us a good deal. she understands how valuable public school teachers are, and teachers who bargain in good faith will be back doing extra curriculars. i'm a happy camper today. this deal is great for teachers. there are more important things to be concerned about than debt and deficits. educatin our youth to be proper global citizens is what is important. my vot will be back wuth Wynne and the Liberals.

The thing is that the left has compassion and cares about human rights. the right cares about making money regardless of who suffers. we will be seeing some good stuff happening in ontario again as we have an education friendly premier once again. kathleen wynne is going to do some great things for education. she is doing a great job of repairing the relationship between the liberals and teachers that has been damaged by dalton. i feel confident waking up in ontario with wynne at the helm. thins will improve for teachers. we need smaller classes and better working conditions. we need to make sure all students feel safe in schools. schools are a secular institution and we must work hard to keep them that way.

How do you interpret this law as social engineering? This has to do with makin sure all kids feel safe in schools. Read the article and look at the statistics given by the research. Look at the suicide rates of LGBTQ students and the rates of those who are not LGBTQ. I am discouraged by the lack of knowledge and compassion of many on this forum. Right now I wished I lived in Manitoba. They have a strong government and th NDP government has introduced a bill called Bill18 that will make it safe for all kids in all schools in Manitoba. I got tears in my eyes after reading how this bill promotes tolerance. This is needed canada wide. Of course thye crazies are up in arms, but who cares. I agree. Kids aren't learning abot social justice at home. Kids are not learning about the dangers of climate change and how humans are acceleratin climate change, at home. Kids are not learn ing that canada's democracy is bing eroded.

Social justice math is very unique and interesting. Rote memorization in math is a thing of the past. SJ Math excites me a great deal.

Hear My Voice is about human rights and democracy. It bothers me that some of you don't think the public school system plays an im portant role in educating learners about these important topics. Mighty AC, I listen with great interest when the CTF and other teacher unions bring important topics to the forefront. Youu seen to think that it should be your way or the highway.
