The French language debate is now even more critical for Harper to win.

Any money that business's keep goes directly back into the economy, what's your point??

Jack is onto bankrupting the country. He's also onto communism.

Are we witnessing the death of the Bloc Québécois?

Because national unity is not a problem in the US... -
Alberta was in the same financial mess and they didn't resort to gouging business. The way SK is going now, it'll be hard for a left wing party to get in for a long long time.
-
You forgot the price of the ridiculous corporate tax imposed by the NDP.

I don't hate that Manitoba is doing well, it could be doing better. I predict that if Manitoba is not on pace with Saskatchewan as far as business and growth are concerned and we are still a have not province, the NDP could be in hot water. Calvert was a popular premier in SK and he was tossed out just when it became good times there.
-
Not expanding as fast as Yorkton. The area that is doing well in SK is significantly larger than the area in MB.
-
I've just been to Saskatoon, way more going on there than in Winnipeg. Way more, it's not even close. Half of Saskatoon is under construction and there is a big housing development going up on Hwy. 5. I'd be proud of Manitoba if we'd be on par with SK.
-
No there is a Hwy. 5 North of that, drive that the whole distance. Even on hwy. 10 there is that big, rapidly expanding town near the MB border... My point is, the Hwy. 5 in SK has a lot more prosperity than Hwy. 5 in MB.

Free trade with Europe is a pipe dream, I'd like our economy to grow, but Europe's attitude towards Canada is deplorable.
-
It can do better, drop the taxes and we'd be on par with Saskatchewan. Take a drive on Hwy. 5 in MB and Hwy. 5 in SK and you tell me that there is more going on in MB than SK. If resources took a tumble, MB would be in as much crap as SK if not worse. Manitoba has a lot of what people need, why are we so far behind SK??
-
It has a fair amount to do with it. Charge high business taxes and kiss investment and business in your province goodbye.

Why do people keep talking about an NDP official oposition?

That's if even the greens elect someone, Elizabeth May vs. Peter McKay??? -

Now that is scary scary... -
There is a big reason, it's the city of Winnipeg and the North that puts them into power. Imagine if we didn't have such high business taxes how much oil would be extracted and how much businesses would get started... It's easy to reduce the taxes for 1B when we're stealing other provinces money. Hell Quebec even introduced a tax cut. Yes because gouging businesses is improving the province on so many levels... The roads were a big mess under the NDP, and it was under election pressure recently that they finally got around to looking at them. It's funny our roads are crap, we don't even have that many of them. Go to North Dakota and then talk about infrastructure. If the NDP is the gov't of prosperity why were they tossed out of Saskatchewan???
-
A conservative leadership would make those things happen much faster. The NDP is so anti-business it's sickening. The reason why Saskatchewan is so much farther behind in infrastructure and economy than in Alberta is because of a socialist gov't. Funny thing is Saskatchewan has far more resources than Alberta.

Have a closer look at Harper the man

Conservative mismanagement in Alberta

So having sky high corporate taxes is a good thing. How is it that there is a waiting list to get John Deere machinery yet they close a factory in Ontario??? -
Do people vote with their head?

The Conservatives' Unethical Anti-Drug Strategy

Your really grasping at straws here. The old gov't drew the line at mind altering substances for what they thought was a good reason, and one I agree with. We all know you don't agree with that reason. Last time I checked sexual acts are not mind altering substances. Toasters are now on sale at Walmart. I know your bitter your not a law abiding citizen, your free to run for office, emmigrate, or vote for a public official who will fix your problem. Too bad the vast majority of Canadians have better things to deal with. Democracy can be a real bitch sometimes.
