  1. If Dion goes under the bus, then so too must trudeau, there is a fiscal conservative wing of that party that would cringe if trudeau was the leader.
  2. Read the political polls 2008 and that'll tell you. The country definetely doesn't want an NDP gov't, that's why they're polling at 21%. I would think most Canadians would want the lifestyle and standard of living the Albertans have. The NDP's claim to fame was the amount of power it had in minority gov'ts, it gained relevance and votes, what happens if the tories get a majority, the NDP is irrelevant again. I think the Libs would benefit from a tory majority, clean house, and run a better campaign next time around.
  3. Nope can use whatever spray I want and other stuff I want.
  4. Every year I hold my nose and sign the plant breeders act agreement for canola, that's it. All the other stuff is fair game. I'm allowed to farm without spray and fertilizer, but I'd be stupid in doing so.
  5. It matters in order to expand the party and get more MPs elected. If cutting Fortier enables that, then cut away. You said the Libs need a policy convention and a solid direction. That didn't happen and you'll still vote for them, so what does it matter?
  6. No, Trudeau did a good job of that as well. Pierre leaving politics was a good thing, the mistake is getting his croonies to carry the torch.
  7. So should harper be prancing around quebec and reminding people of all of dion's shortcomings and scary scary moments? I'm just saying it might be a waste of time telling people what they already know and trying to make such a big deal out of it. There are better things the Liberals can be talking about than that
  8. I wouldn't want only economists, that was an example to portray the extremes of the party, you provided some more. You were right they do need a policy convention. I think having Trudeau is a bad idea, he's way too far left for the Liberals and it makes it difficult when the NDP is so much stronger now. Bob Friesen would be a good Candidate, he is more in touch with his electorate than say a Justin Trudeau. The Libs are a centrist party, they have to decide if they are a McCallum centrist or a Trudeau centrist.
  9. I don't think prisoners are allowed to go on computers No it's been happening steady, just the profit margins are smaller and I have to find other work when I'm not farming to make extraa money. Uh, I don't need consumers to survive, I can live like the Amish if I absolutely had to and be self sufficient. Without people like me, food acquisition/survival becomes quite the problem in your case. I'm in a little bit higher weight class than you are.
  10. Is Fortier that well needed in the tory party that he'll go back to the senate and keep his minister job. That doesn't look good. Time to cut the rope...
  11. But everybody knows Harper wanted to go to Iraq, and even with that on everyone's minds he still won the election. This is a non-issue. The Libs are looking really desperate trying to beat this dead horse.
  12. Didn't lose as many as the green shift though...
  13. That's what Stephane Dion thinks and he's paying the price.
  14. I visit a city lots, haven't been arrested. Except when my revenues are a lot more than my operating costs, it's a killing. My income is very liveable thank you. What are you in the "God" industry? I am a primary producer, who do I depend on? This should be good for a laugh.
  15. The residents of that riding by the looks of it agree with you as far as harper/fortier go. I've seen Trudeau speak, and I couldn't tell the difference b/w him and an NDP candidate. What your saying about the police chief and Federation of Ag president (why someone in ag would go Liberal is beyond me) is in my opinion the dilemna of the Liberal party, what direction are they wanting to go, because it's either going to be Trudeau or McCallum that's going to have to give (if they both get elected)
  16. Ah the crux of the matter. If the Liberals are resorted to trying to nail Harper with plagiarism (i don't think harper writes his own speeches), it shows they are in deep trouble, especially with an issue as old as that one. As an average Canadian do I care if it was plagiarized, not a chance. All I care about is how good of a job Harper is doing and IMO he's doing a good job. One plagiarized speech isn't going to change my vote and probably won't change a lot of others. This is as big of a non-issue as harper patting his daughter on the shoulders for school, who cares?? If anything this shows how out of touch Dion is with Canadian society, does Canadian society care about plagiarism as much as an ivory tower academic??
  17. Except Harper is already on a liberation mission at the other end of the world, Canada has partaken in it's fair share of them and has an excellent record. Should we have had your attitude at World War 2? It must be a pain in the ass that a lot of people in this country are going to be voting for a party that is not run by cowards. @ Shakeyhands This issue has been debated enough, we already know everybody's stance on it and nobody is going to cave. The Canadian public clearly knows what's going on as far as A-Stan goes. They already know what Harper's foreign policy is, they might not all agree with it, but it's one vote to a customer. There are other matters of far more pressing importance to be debating.
  18. I'm not in jail, I must be functioning in society pretty good. I have enough intelligence to make a killing at what people like you wouldn't degrade themselves to doing and that must stick in the old craw. Their arrogance is my reward. More Important and meaningful endeavors, lets see what causes more chaos, if all the people in my industry shut down or all the people in your industry shut down? If you have that view of farming, you can take your hypocrite ass out of the grocery store and produce all your own food. Geez you must be half way to China with that hole your digging Score 2 for team cowboy yee haw!!!
  19. I asked questions, I thought, I think Jack Layton's foreign policy is a joke and Harper's is better. I just happen not to have an attitude of defeat and appeasement unlike some people (NDP)
  20. I heard Justin Trudeau was speaking in Manitoba at the U of M and I had to see this for myself. Good God was I ever mortified. Socialism for everyone!!! If he is anywhere near his dad, the Liberals would have no relevance. It would be NDP Lite. If the Libs are purging the far left from their party like I think they are, Trudeau needs to go under the bus.
  21. It must bother you that this crude and crass country yokel has an income and expenditure sheet with a few more zeros tacked on the end than yours. Dag gone, I done made the big times now!!!!
  22. I'm curious, as a Liberal supporter who is extremely fiscally conservative, why would you want someone like Justin Trudeau winning. If the party needs to redefine itself to compete with the tories, they need more McCallum's and less Trudeau's. As for Fortier losing, I couldn't care less, I agree with you there that it was shady of the tories to put him in cabinet without running, the voters in that riding will make the tories pay for that mistake.
  23. And there's a reason why 75% of Canadians don't support the NDP and why 75% of Canadians don't support the Liberals.
  24. Hahahahahaha toasters and tinfoil for everybody. Better stock up, a harper majority is on the horizon.
