Good lord indeed. I'm not sure how much more the story can be torqued, I guess it depends on how many more skeletons we can coax out of Fords closet and/or how big our imagination is. Maybe someone can find a picture of him going down on some black eyed bulgy headed alien in a secret lab in Roswell.

No they certainly didn't. I am. It was the proof that did it for me. Definitely cringe-worthy. This falls under my original premise that the guy needs to shut up, the hole he dug is big enough already. I am wondering if he is using such increasingly desciptive and offensive language to illustrate the gutter that the rhetoric and allegations against him have reached. Or maybe he's just off his rocker. Regardless, it doesn't help his cause.

Hyenas need to eat too, in fact they look for the sick and lame. They are not really concerned about the mental well-being of their prey other than to assess the advantage they can gain.

I think the first thing Ford needs to do, before rehab, before taking leave, before filing suit...before anything, is start by simply keeping his mouth shut. These media scrums are killing him. The hyenas have brought him down and are now proceeding to feast, every word he utters from this point forward is just another meal.

I appreciate your opinion, however considering the state of the world economy over the last 5 years I think we fared pretty well. I agree with a forecasted budget surplus, it's time to start working on the debt.

You mean to be a hero like Martain tried to be during the 2006 election campaign, where the Liberal leader made 24 billion dollars in new spending promises in less than 3 weeks in an effort to hold onto power. I wonder how many of those promises would have been kept had he won? I wonder where all that money would have come from??? Hmmm....

If the topic doesn't impress you, why don't you just give it a pass? Why do you feel your subjective input is required? I don't get why you would make it your business other than maybe you feel it is your obligation to prevent other members from being exposed to the topic. If you don't have anything to contribute, maybe it would be to everyone's benefit for you to just move on to another topic.

I just think there's a standard of proof one should attian when the story has the potential outcome to ruin someone's career and destroy their personal life, especially when the organization breaking the news has a known bias against the individual. I'm not saying it's not legal or that they don't have a right to do it, it's just not something I would have chosen to do. I'm also not saying they shouldn't have run the story, they did have the opportrunity to purchase the video. It comes down to morals and ethics and what you are comfortable with...and they were obviously comfortable with their approach so good on them for getting their story out. And as I said, I feel somewhat relieved knowing that at least some of the allegations have been confirmed (by Ford himself), and the reporters likely do as well.

I'm not blaming the media, but I am disagreeing with their approach. If you’re about to destroy someone’s life, you better be solid. The fact is, we know a video exists that is “consistent with the media stories”, but we don’t really know exactly what’s on it because we haven’t seen it. With the new revelations that Rob has provided in the last couple of days, it’s a pretty safe bet the video likely shows what the media purported it to show, but we still don’t know for sure what it shows exactly. We do know that Rob has smoked crack by his own admission so it supports the claim, and that in itself is damning. I am glad that things are coming to light, it would sure be a shame if all the damage had been done and there in fact had not been a video. It’s somewhat relieving to know that Rob did in fact make his own bed. Hopefully he can get help and turn it around.

Rob is totally responsible for the mess he's in. However, I still contend that it was poor journalism to come out with such a damaging story against him without any evidence. They should have bought the video.

Presume what you want about 3-5% of Americans reliance on what you consider junk insurance. Presume what I declare, who‘s camp I‘m in and what I advocate for. Many Americans presumed that Obama meant what he said when he told them they could keep their plan...

I happened onto a band a couple of months ago when I was looking around for some new up and comers called St. Lucia. It's basically a one man band, the guys name is Jean-Philip Grobler. Most of his tunes have an eighty's pop sound, but modernized. Kind of a cross between Depeche mode, Inxs, with a bit of U2 and maybe even some newer Bee Gees thrown in for good measure. Good stuff.

No, I'm not suggesting anything other than Obama's statement that he repeated over and over while selling this thing to the public seems a bit disingenuous...particularly to people who had existing policies in place who are now being told it doesn't qualify because it's "junk insurance" as perceived by some. Obviously if they were happy with their plan, they didn't percieve it as "junk insurance".

I equate a total of $6300.00 dollars in deductible and out of pocket expenses before insurance cuts in as something other than "low deductible". I also equate the phrase" if you like your plan, you can keep it" to mean just that.

Americans are so fortunate to have a leader enlightened enough to tell them what they should want. Dumb people should not have a choice.
