It makes me very angry indeed, of this unfairness towards those who had contributed and given their productive years for this country. I am still blistering from the fact that simple free eye check-ups had been nixed by the government...when this should be part of a simple routine. Everybody needs this! Those elderlies...and a lot of them have not retired with good income...struggle to make ends meet. These folks had worked to support the system! And yet here they are, denied a simple medical check-up they need to keep on enjoying life independently...and yet we encourage, support and provide for just about anyone other than those who had made some contributions! I will start supporting all these herculean effort at helping everyone off the face of this earth.....after we've ensured that our very own are all well taken cared of. Charity begins at home!

They interviewed this guy representing the refugee-claimants on CTV Newsnet yesterday. The anchorguy ask about his comment regarding the outrage among Canadians about this people jumping the line! The guy said: I don't know what the outrage is all about. This group is just a very small percentage...and Ontarion will not shoulder everything. Duh. He must mean, a small percentage in the first load! Anyway, explaining what they have to go through....such as he has to show them how and where to get social assistance they can access right now WHILE WAITING FOR THEIR REFUGEEE STATUS HEARING, which could take up to 8 months of waiting....means, we're already footing the bill somehow!

Just on the CTV Newsnet today: A city in Quebec (Montreal I think), is cracking down on the squatters in public places, such as parks. They're no longer allowed to stay overnight. Most of these squatters are drug addicts. The problem is, they don't want to to go to shelters for the night....because they're not allowed to bring in booze and their drugs. So an addict who was being interviewd said: "so we stay roaming the streets and some end up doing some types of crimes." Talk about manipulation! I guess that should be our cue to stop and listen, huh? These injection sites should then be transformed into motels for druggies! Then on another news, the drug advocates criticizing the cops for suggesting that the money should be spent on treatment instead of encourageing the abuse: "what's the point of having treatment if the addicts are dying off on the street at a faster rate?" I say, let them die off then! Who knows....it might be part of the "rush"....the "thrill" to play a russian roulette with your drugs of choice. We have no right to deny them that, do we? They've got the right to do as they please!

But you see, that's been the Liberal and NDP propaganda....trying to make us all think that Harper is this wide-eyed boy idolizing Bush! I took notice of Harper when as an Opposition leader, he stood up and gave his support to the US. He was the only one...who did not mince around. You know it was out of principle. He believe it was the right thing to do and he was not afraid to say it...even if it meant the possible end of his political career. Just because he believe in the same principle as Bush...does not have to mean that he is a follower. I would rather see him called a "follower" then when he acts on principle....than by having him act like.....like the Liberals... just so it can't be said that they are US "followers."

Just by simply having the guts to stand on his principles....and yes, that means having to agree with the US or Bush...whom everyone knows is very much disliked by a lot of Canadians. Chretien and Martin were not only fence-sitters....they've also fed on the public's uproar over Bush on Iraq, that they even tolerated vulgar antics by their MPs, quite unbecoming of any political leaders. Previous politcal leaders....starting with the Clintons...then mimicked by the Liberal leaders...have come up with creative ways to use "double-talk"...or empty new-word jargon! The latest I find quite amusing and coincidentally very much appropriate is Graham's fondness for this word: "Nuances" See how this word had been picked up and is now popularly used. Well, according to webster, NUANCE: a slight or delicate variation in tone, color, meaning etc. Boy, that's the Liberals! The global promises to Kyoto and the generic drugs for AIDS....what happened? How can the global community take them seriously when their words mean nothing? A lot of "nudge-nudge-wink-wink" most probably going on behind their backs when they make their gut-wrenching political speeches and promises! So Harper comes as a breath of...much-needed....fresh air!

I don't know why Canada had gotten into this corner when suddenly it is the mecca for all those who need medical help and social assistance. World-wide! It remind me of those very old cartoon that showed a raft in the middle of the lake and all the hordes of drowning rats trying to clamber on it. Of course the raft eventually submerged. Everyone ended up in the water.

What do you mean "your parents had to answer to your accusations about the holocaust?" Were your parents Nazi members? Or collaborators? Were they among those who hated, taunted and preyed on the Jews? Did they support and believe in the visions of Hitler? I do not understand. Please explain why you had accused them....accused them of what?

I wonder what would he be willing to put on the table? The things he'd willingly give up? Gay marriage? Abortion? Career women? Elections? Christianity? Jews? LCBO? Pig farmers? Harper and Bush? etc..?

Excuse me....who are these "us" and "we" who are supposed to feel "guilty" over atrocities made by a few?

Oh well, just heard at the CBC radio hourly news, cops all over the country are urging the government to withdraw its support for this injection site in BC. Apparently there's a deadline....and a cop rep said the public does not know the whole picture.

I'll bet that when the time comes that the anti-smoking zealots start going for homes....somebody is going to recommend just that!

Comparing the dangers of cigarette smoking to that of heroin shooting or crack using addicts only clearly proves one thing: That "BRAIN-LIKE-A-FRIED-EGG" adverstising on tv is definitely NOT WORKING! Liberals don't see the grave danger of "impaired judgement", "mental collapse", "drug-induced psychosis!" I guess when an addict goes on a "trip" and wants to see how a child flies from a high rise...that's just like getting cancer from cigarettes. IF YOU GET cancer associated with cigarettes, that is.

Like how a person who engages in tobacco use is free to do it in their own home (and even in the same room as their children, potentially killing them with second-hand smoke) Oh don't worry, somebody's already making noises about children "trapped" in smokers' homes....it's coming! So how come no safe smoking sites for these smokers to freely light up with a coffee or drinks? These people are paying taxes for their cigarettes. They help keep the hospitality industry robust! The tobacco industry is shelling out dough to our economy. This vice is considered LEGAL. Why is there no concessions made AT ALL....to try to accomodate them?

For the simple reason that it is tax-payers money that the Liberals want to spend quite FRIVOLOUSLY for this project. If Liberal and NDP supporters will personally fund this project all the way through.....I have no beef with that. I think your money is better spent that way than donating it to those two parties.

"Are you trying to tell me that you would not have any problem or concern at all about leaving your own child in the care of someone shooting up heroin or using crack?" Yes or no.

Sorry BubberMiley, but this is just something that's hard to pass up. One of the most important reasons the Liberals gave for supporting universal daycares is for the security it provides the children. I assume then that those liberals who thought that way of universal daycares will undoubtedly understand and support what I had said about children under the care of and/or living with drug addicts.

WRONG! Don't put words in my mouth...or try to twist what I clearly meant to say. I never referred to reformed/rehabilitated and former drug users! I said: "I say take the infants and children away from addicts. Help those children!"

Then you say your opponents are imposing their morals on others and deciding things for society. Well, it definitely shows the grave inconsistency how the government treated the legal cigarette smokers and the illegal drug users! And I speak as a tax-paying citizen, questioning the motive and senselessness of a government who kow-towed to a lobby group. The anti-smoking lobby group did not want any form of concessions at all! Not even separate rooms for those who smoke...even though the bar owners were willing to shoulder those extra expenses! And as provided links showed, the same people were practically behind both campaigns! WHY ARE THE LIBERALS SUPPORTING THE DRUG LORDS IN THEIR BUSINESS....and yet they harrassed legal business owners?
