Children under six are not the only little ones who need help. It is interesting to me that Mr Harper, when a guest speaker for the Reform Party at an NCC dinner held at the Hamilton Golf and Country Club on May 24, 1994, discussing their progress - "These achievements are due in part to the Reform Party of Canada and in part to groups like the National Citizens’ Coalition...What has happened in the last five years? Let me start with the positive side...the family allowance program has been eliminated..." If this was such a 'positive' thing, why is he bringing it back? I think he is trying to buy us off. Everytime a difficult question is raised to any member of his caucus or PR staff, they answer it by saying "the cheques are going out" What does that have to do with Afghanistan or ethics? You be the judge. kids under 6 aren't in school. after that you get free daycare, called public education. lol.... good one.

Sam, please calm down. Do not let some over-the-top posters taunt you into retaliating in kind. I have a question for you, since you seem to believe that the level of taxes you pay entitles you to $100 a month back. Do you not agree then that other childless income earners and those who's children are over 6 are also entitled to $100 a month back if they pay the same level of taxes as you do? Thats a good point, and I never really thought of that. I suppose it is a little unfair for people to pay taxes and not use a service, but what about the NDP? They want more money for services for the poor (afordable housing, ect.) that doesnt help me, yet I have to pay into that. Its a lose-lose situation when it comes to taxes. I think more things should be privatized so we only pay for the services we use, and we dont have high taxes.

I probably pay more income tax then that fucker who said im lazy cause I want support for my kids... fuck off. I have every god-damn right to want some support when Im paying income tax up the fucking wazoo. I grossed over $70 000 in 2005. You wanna know how much my take home pay was.... nearly $45 000!!! Im paying into that $100 a month, I have every right to it you fuck. Please forgive my swearing. Im Italian and get really pissed when someone calls me lazy... im a master carpenter, im sure ive worked harder then any business person around here.
-
Whoever posted on here "parents should take after their kids withour government help" or some crap is a complete asshole. You know how much it costs to raise kids? Before I became a "master carpenter" (15 years into the trade) I was barely making enough money to raise my 1 kid, now I have 4!!! i would have gone poor. $100 a month would not be a huge deal to me now that i grosse over $70 000 a year, but to a struggling family it will go a long way.

I personally would rather see a check in the mail then have my kids in day care. I, like many Canadians, do not send my children to a day care centre. I think its complete arrogance to shove a child care program down my throat that does not benifit me. Direct cash on the other hand benifits EVERY SINGLE CANADIAN FAMILY with Kids under the age of 6. Not just select few. What do you guys think?

Where do we draw the "tolerance line"?

Nice try... I think Left-Liberals are ALL stupid. -
bahhhh humbug. down with socialists, and left liberals. in other words... down with Layton and his "crak-pot" caukus of New Democrats.
-
NDP, lowering taxes??? That's like hitler attending a barmitzva Im sure your accurate about their budget, but that is the first time I have ever heard the word "lower taxes" and NDP in the same sentence. I live in ontario and the NDP still wants to raise the PST.

If the government becomes too strong, it starts to supress the people, I think thats what Ronnie james Dio was talking about. Look at places like cuba, tibet, iraq (before the over-throw of suddan). All those dictators supress the people because their government was allowed too much power.
-
As metal-god Ronnie James Dio once said... " The stronger the government the weaker the people" Amen Ronnie.

I think we should totally reamp our system of government. Their should only be 2 governing parties. the Liberals (left leaning) and The Conservatives (right leaning). Now, their should be a whole new house of government, similar to the senate, that consists of elected officials from other parties, such as the NDP Now... I dispise the NDP's Ideology and policies with a passion, but it wouldnt be democratic to totally get rid of them (I know realize this ) so... I think they should stick around to govern in the "third house" called the "House of elected Communists!!!" LOL!!!! Got ya!!!!! hahahah

19 people now support my cause.
-
Howcome when someone gives their oppinions everyone respects it and doesnt resort to insults. But when I give my opinion, because im the "new guy" you guys hassle me. Thats not fair.
-
Im not saying they are communists. Im saying that if they had a Majority, they would probably push for communism. Their wolves in sheeps clothing. They have such radical left wing views. If we agree that Communism is the furthest to the left possible, then... why would be support a party that is also to the left? The Liberals are Centered to the left, just like the Conservatives are Centered to the right. But the NDP are right behind communism, im sure we can all agree on that?
-
Is it a fair statement to say that the NDP are socialists, and left wing? Is that not close to Communism?? Did they not at one point suggest "Free for all governement where there are no rich or poor" (jack layton speech from 2004) Don't critisize me because I am starting a debate. 6 people have voted with me saying that they would, or possibly would push for communism. Speak up fellow supporters!! Have your voices heard.
-
It blew me away when someone on this site mentioned that the NDP was the closest party to Communism. I think thats a fair statement. The NDP support the ideal of "no rich, no poor" and that the government should control everything. I admit that 99% of my posts are bashing the NDP, and some of you are annoyed with that. But... please try to keep this thread intelligent and non-personal. I want to have a debate about what you guys think. If the NDP had a majority would they start taking steps towards a full comunism??
-
Considering that I started this thread, i am very happy to see people showing an interest in it. Im also happy that 41 people support me in saying "no more gay marriage" Put that in your pipe Layton!

heres my little graph of canadian politics (everyones getting nervous eh ) Left (from 1-50) Right (60-100) Centre (51-59) Communist (50) NDP (40) Liberal (51) Conservative (55) Green (85) (please dont critisize me, just add your two cents )
-
I am very pleased to see that 11 people (as of now) support my vision, of a Canada with only centered parties, not Parties too far to the left (NDP) or too far to the right (Green). Just the USA, Democrats and Republicans are both centered, theirs no "Ndp" style party over there-- they must be smarter then us?

Sorry but I am totally straight, i havent had any sexual thought for a man EVER, I indeed questioned myself in high school some 20 years ago, but I am straight.

Don't you get it? He's got his "own" ideas, and reporters don't, they're all morons, so just listen to him, he knows it all. You people arent hearing me!!! Im not right about everything, what works for me prolly does not work for you, I understand that. But... all my ideas from my own mind---I don't take ideas from websites and them state them as personal opinion. My personal opinion is indeed personal. I never said anyone was stupid!! You people have something against me because I bash the NDP. Fine... I won't bash your precious NDP anymore. For a while I thought I was talking to fellow Conservatives on this site, I guesse I was wrong. But, that doesnt change my opinion on the NDP. No one on this site will ever change my mind about that party, I hate their policies and their ideology with a passion. they are so far to the left, and I am centered to the right.

I said... that all those people who keep giving me links to what news reporters are saying are ignorant, they shouldnt rely on others thoughts, they should come up with their own.
