I am social conservative, very much so. I don't have some complex where I believe everyone should follow my beliefs though. I dont want others to follow my beliefs, frankly I dont care. I just find it hard to let loose on this board because the majority of people here are liberals, and dont pay attention to what I say anyways. A rational reason why I dont support gay marriiage, abortion ect. I have many reasons. Firstly its a religioous thing. The bible clearly states that God hates 3 things, and one of them is the shedding of Innocent blood. You know in Exodus it says if 2 men are fighting and one man knocks over a pregnat woman, and causes her to lose her baby, that man should be killed. That shows you how bad abortion is. Gay marriage is a whole diff thing. Being gay in general is a majour sin. We all have a mom and a dad, male and female, thats how we were all created. So being gay is simply against the natural order of things. Two men cannot create a child, so they were not meant to be together. And to put it quite simple, women are stunning, beautiful, and simply amazing- I would die witout my wife, and I dont understand how gay men reject these beautiful creatures. I was born a Tory and ill die a Tory. Social Conservatives will one day rule the commons, I don;t thing the merger of the Torys was a very good idea. Blue and Red torys mixed, and thats gonna cause problems when the Gay marriage debate re-surfaces. I think Harper should put some more Social Conservatives in the senate, and fast!

What the Hell!!!??? I get suspended from this board for like 2 months because I said "Liberals are ignorant", and this guy posts a RACCIST, PREJUIDICE, OFFENSIVE, HATE MONGORING Comment and doesnt get a warning or anything??? How could the moderator of this board allow this kind of message go without punishment!? Are the moderators raccist aswell? I am White but also half Italian, and it's people like you who shunned my ancestors out because they were different then you. This kind of raccist message should not be allowed.

I hate it when Red Tories try to pass themselves off as Conservatives. But we see it everyday. Their are too many so-called "Red Tories" in the Conservative party of Canada. And their are just as many "Blue Liberals" in the Liberal Party. I don't respect that. I think all so called "Red Tories" should join the Liberal Party, and all so called "Blue Liberals" should join the Conserevatives. it's really dishonest pretending to be something ur not. In my riding of Brampton-Springdale, Conservative Candidate Sam Hundal lost to Liberal Ruby Dhalla because in the local debate he condemmed the Liberals for supporting abortion. Now thats a real Tory!! But now lets look at the 124 Conservatives that were elected, now how many of them Support Abortion!? Including the Prime minsiter!!?? I have so much respect for Stephen Harper by the way (refer to all my "I Love Harper" posts ) but... Tory's SHOULDall be Social Neo Conservatives. No to gay marriage, no to abortion, no to drugs, yes to punishment for crimes ect. Those are Tory values. So heres my question to you all. Do you feel the present Conservative Party are true Tory's and Social Conservatives, or too Red?

In 2003 The Right was united when the Aliiance, The Progressive Conservatives and the remains of the Reform party united to create the Conservative Party of Canada. That was a great time to be a conservative. Now... the NDP seems to have the EXSACT same ideals, morals, ethics, and policy as the Liberals. the NDP can deny it all they want, but every single one of their 1 million votes they got more this time around came from hard-core Liberals. If the two parties joined, they would unstopable.

Prime Minister Harper is 45, that seems like the perfect age for a politician. Too old means stuborn, too young means stupid. However, John Tory (ontario PC Party Leader) is aparently in his later 50's (???) So... the question is... Old or Young?

1. This should be put to a vote by the public like they did in the USA. And like the results in the US, gay marriage will be rejected by the public. Chretien and Martin couldn't even get their foot in the door of the WH, and were lucky if they could even get a return phone call from Bush. Soon Canada will become, once again, a major player on the world stage. I am a grassroot, home grown 100% Conservative, and while everyone else trembles at the sound of a Majority Tory Government, I jump in joy! Here are some things Prime Minister Harper should (or hopefully will) do when he wins a majority. 1. Abolish Same Sex Marriage 2. Bring Anti-Abortion Leglislation forward 3. Apoint more Conservative Senators and Judges 4. Shrink Government Spending and Lower Taxes Dramitically 5. Change the Canadian Flag Colours to Blue and White (lol, just kidding ) Its a Liberals Night Mare and a New Democrats Suicide Solution but thank God that the Right is in! Any thoughts?

2 VERY important things are being left out here: 1) Dalton Mcguinty has broken 99% of his campaign promisies, litterally. Everything he said in the debates is now complete bull. 2) Mike Harris is the only premiere EVER, OF ALL TIME to lower Income Taxes! I can see John Tory following in his footsteps.

Ontario is smart when it comes to provincial politics. The NDP and Bob Rae screwed us up from 1990-1995, and thats why they only have 8 seats now The PC under Mike Harris was Great, then Good, then Okay and then when Eeves came in it went to hell. and thats why they only have under 30 seats now Ontario was right for giving the Liberals a Majority (I admit that, even though i am a Conservative) We had to give the PC party a rest, to regroup. Dalton Mguinty is a goddamn liar, broke every single election promise. Theirs no way in hell Ontario is stupid enough to let him back in next election. So whos turn is it? Hampton and the NDP? or Tory and the PC? Will Ontario forget Bob Rae? Will Ontario remember Mike Harris? Who will be Ontarios next premier?

So I would end up paying $6000 in taxes on a $20 000 car.... am I missing something??? Thats a horrible plan! Who wants 30% tax on everything they buy? On a $30 shirt im gonna pay nearly $13 in tax... thats bogus. Poor people whould be sooo screwed, paying $6 on $20 groceries, that $6 could have bought them 3 loafs of bread to feed their starving children. I think the GST should be gone, income taxes should be lowered. Social programs should be Cut, and spending should be cut. Thats the best way to insure Canadian Families. hey everybody, thanks to the folks who welcomed me back... I missed you guys Anyways, I think some people here are a tad bit confused. I think, the greatest ways to reduce taxes for Lower Middle Class to High Middle Class is to reduce the GST (or eliminate it) and to reduce how much Federal Tax they take off of each check (income tax) Now... the proposed Liberal Income tax of lowering the bracket from 16% to 15% is a bloody joke. It would save me, personally, around $415 a year, which equals out to about $15.90 less in taxes every two weeks... THATS HARDLY A TAX CUT! If they want to lower Income Taxes they should do it DRAMATICALLY. We have a surplus. Why not lower the bracket 16% to 13%, then we'll save around $900 a year, atleast thats something... right? The GST is a horrible tax. I strongly think they should eleiminate it 2% right away, then move towards totally getting rid of it in the upcomming election. I guesse we'll wait till 4pm today to here the final details, eh.

I think we shoud spend the surplus this way... 1. In the upcomming budget, make the GST cut 2% right away (7% to 5%) then, in the next election Prime Minister Harper could run on the idea of lowering it to 3%, or even totally getting rid of it!!!??? 2. Keep the Income Tax cut that the Liberals wanted, and that the NDP pretends to want (the NDP only agreed to the Income Tax Cut because the Liberals were forced to change their budget to give money to affordable housing ect.- Dont be fooled!!! Layton hates tax cuts) 3. Increase the "Choice in Child Care Allounce" to $150 per child under 6. 4. Introduce a "Jobs for Bums" program, where Bums are FORCED to get a job, or be deported. What do u guys think?

I understand ur point. But, that left-wing style thinking is border-line communism. once we go down that road, theirs no comming back. I think we need to move in the direction of privatization and quick. The public health system is good, but it's too flawed. It is not fair that I pay into a pension that pays for my health care, yet I have to pay taxes to a system I don't need?? How is that right?? I understand that their is poor people out their, that would not get treatment for health care if it was private. So we should change the system. People that can afford health care should pay for it. people that can't should get it free. That way, instead of paying taxes to support 30 million people, we would only pay taxes to support 5 million people. Taxes would gooo wayyyyy down, and everyone would be happy.

You should form your opinions based on facts rather than prejudices. 40% of your income doesn't go to bums, it goes towards the commonwealth that decides the best way to spend it. You should do your part within that framework and inform yourself if you're unhappy with how it works. Bums are lazy when it comes to working, ignoramuses are lazy when it comes to thinking. Privatize everything, so Income taxes would not be needed. GST gone. Id rather pay $200 to a see a doctor then see 40% of my paycheck go to taxes, that help f'in bums and teenage mothers.
