I guess that new deal Canada made with the U.S. relating to the use of U.S. troops in Canada now has significant meaning. Caledonia is mostly a provincial matter and our current Ontario premier believes in extreme liberalism and appears to be a coward to set an example relating to the use of an authoritative force. Canada relating to Quebec would look weak and incapable in the eyes of the world not protecting Canada's own sovereignty. Canada would have no choice but to send in the military. Canadians contributed greatly for the construction of James Bay generating facilities and this is another area Quebec would be forced to negotiate. James Bay also sits on previously owned crown land which Canada could also take back in the event of illegal or legal Quebec separation. There is no way Quebec could ever even attempt to blockade the St.Lawrence seaway as this would obviously be detrimental to U.S. majority interest in the seaway and Quebec would be dealt with promptly by the U.S. with force.

Quebec is part of a modern country and would have to negotiate for what not does not belong to Quebec including the land itself, its share of the national debt etc. There is no way Quebec can just get up and leave. If Quebec does illegally leave it will leave with very little, no economy, it will be cut off from Canada and the military will move in.

That was an exception to the rule. It is apparent these wars do erupt time to time but are not continuously the cause of violence like street gangs are. What are you talking about. There are many assaults, home invasions rapes, swarmings, muggings and deaths of citizens, including from the cross fire of unruly violent punk gangs. No one is immune from possible violence from these punk gangs. These gangs are a problem and from reports are getting younger every day especially involving 10- 11 year olds in the drug trade. Gangs are a serious problem in our cities but for unknown reasons, the severity of these gangs are being downplayed by authorities. I highly suspect these gangs are out of control and there is nothing authorities can do to stop the violence.

The Angels appear to be involved in organized illegal activities but are not continuously violent in nature unlike the disorganized Asian, African and Aboriginal gangs are, who thrive on violence. So in saying this what is the risk factor to average Canadians of being injured or killed relating to gangs and violent offences? Although there are no statistics available on this subject and from what I have personally observed from years of media reports, pictures and video, I would say the Hells Angles pose little risk while the Asian, African and Aboriginal gangs pose the highest incidence of violence towards law abiding Canadian citizens. I would not characterize the mainly White Angels or any larger mainly White motorcycle gangs as a street gang. Many don't drive motorcycles but drive expensive automobiles and invest money in legitimate concerns. It is relatively common knowledge larger motorcycle gangs have discarded black leather jackets for business suits from any reports I have read. Actually I don't think there are to many White street gangs left and appears mostly, are the punks you describe.

French might be a federal official language but is only recognized at the federal level and not being official in the eyes of other provinces except for New Brunswick being officially bilingual. It is common knowledge the majority language of Canada is English and Quebec being a province in Canada and not a separate country. Quebec's provincially self declared province wide official language is not recognized as being official by the federal government. It is because of this when speaking of statistics, Quebec must be included with all other provinces, and statistics compiled and averaged with all other provinces. This makes the French language a minority language anywhere in Canada including Quebec.

It is racist as culture is a component of race and language being a component of culture. Official languages is a farce and is the creation of the Liberal government for the main reason of advancing Quebec's nationalistic ideologies including language. The Charter uses a minority French language as a qualifying factor to determine rights and federal job opportunities out side of the confines of unilingual French Quebec. Quebec and its provincial government ignores all federal bilingual incentives, yet the federal government rewards Quebec with discriminatory language rights and job opportunities. This is racial discrimination especially when Quebec's provincially self imposed 'French official language of Quebec' is not recognized as official by the federal government a language that discriminates against the majority English language in Quebec. It is also racial discrimination when the federal government using Canadian tax dollars goes out of its way to promote this obsolete French language in English provinces involving the creation of bilingual policies at the expense of job loss relating to unilingual majority English Canadians. English Canadians do not have to learn an imposed foreign obsolete minority French Language when the English language is the 'de facto' commercial language of Canada. This is outright racial discrimination.
