'You confuse stating facts with being emotionally invested'. If you read the comment then you would be asking this question....
-
Is this really supposed to be a question? Climate change is not based on emotions, it's based on fact.
-
You confuse stating facts with being emotionally invested. But yes, I do care about the environment.

First thing you've said that is accurate.... Why would I 'admit' our democracy is comprised when it is not. Regarding your foolish claims of bribery, let's look at it this way.... CBC is a public broadcaster that relies on government funding. Considering the only government we've had in power for 10+ years now is liberal so of course this is who provides the funding. We don't know what the conservatives would have done because they can't seem to win a federal election. Let's revisit when/if they do to see whether they choose to fund or not fund.

They do, but also they're still a developing nation with 1.4B people that is diversifying it's energy mix to renewable faster than most countries. Don't believe anyone is bragging....just stating facts

I've commented on what many believe it will do to the deficit, healthcare and the environment. Your choice to agree or disagree or whether you want to believe and understand the differing opinions from your elected officials, economists or public policy think tanks. https://budgetmodel.wharton.upenn.edu/issues/2025/7/1/senate-reconciliation-bill-budget-economic-and-distributional-effects

All this, and still no answer. Carry on...

Trump's bill could add up to ~3.4T to debt Doing that Hopefully... Always has and will be the strongest Doge got mixed results.... Trump's weekend golf trips cost $26M to end of March. Lots of waste there. What regulations? Trade stance hasn't helped so far. America first has countries looking at diversifying their trade with others. Unlikely the manufacturing Trump talk about is coming back. Okay Won't comment... Trumps' got his bill now so the rubber hits the road. Futures up so seems market likes it so far.

You know what the different opinions are.... Moderate Republicans, or what remain of them, also quickly quit the field. Thom Tillis, a Republican from North Carolina facing down an uncertain re-election bid, expressed concerns about the bill’s massive cuts to Medicaid, the federal low-income healthcare program on which many Americans – and many of his constituents – rely. Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick of Pennsylvania - I voted to strengthen Medicaid protections, to permanently extend middle class tax cuts, for enhanced small business tax relief, and for historic investments in our border security and our military," he added/ "However, it was the Senate's amendments to Medicaid, in addition to several other Senate provisions, that altered the analysis for our PA-1 community. The original House language was written in a way that protected our community; the Senate amendments fell short of our standard." When the bill was sent to the House, a handful of Republicans threatened to withhold their votes over budget and Medicaid concerns. But no one believed them. They were always going to cave, abandon their stated principles and follow Trump’s orders, and they did. Trump, after all, had said that he wanted the bill passed in time for the Fourth of July; it passed on the third. He says jump, and the Congress asks: How high? Trump megabill gives the oil industry everything it wants and ends key support for solar and wind The president’s embrace of fossil fuels and hostility to renewable energy are reflected in his signature domestic policy law. https://www.nbcnews.com/business/energy/trump-megabill-gives-oil-industry-everything-wants-ends-key-support-so-rcna216777
