WestJet & Sunwing -Airlines in Canada
LinkSoul60 replied to August1991's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Point was, I don't believe AC is the 'worst airline in the world' or even close to that. Like most interactions a consumer has though.... a negative experience has them telling give or take ~7 people while we only tell give or take ~2 people of a positive experience. -

You would have a real difficult time flying in Canada with United, Lufthansa or KLM. All airlines are going to have booking or delay challenges from time to time - that's common and nature of the industry. My career had me on planes more than most ever will be and despite 'seeing it all' from AC in particular, I'd also say they're a very good airline to fly with. -
Yes, and I'm still saying that. It's what he does to distract peoples attention....throw something else into the news cycle to take your attention away from news he doesn't want you focusing on. It's an effective strategy that has worked very well for him. He's also dealing with a generally simple minded support base so of course 'distracting' is rather easy from that side, a bit more difficult for his detractors.

No, a country will be associated with an airline carrying the nations name, but not defined by it. In our case with AC, consistently ranked as a top airline, as our country is consistently ranked among the best in the world. -
Personally, couldn't care one way or the other if this 'file' is released. Find it absolutely comical though that now the same people (Bondi, Patel, Bongino) that stood on the mountain screaming for the release of files seem to want to brush it under the rug. There couldn't be anything in there damaging to the Epstein's old pal, the orange wonder would there be?

That was a pitiful attempt at answering, even by your already low standards. You have no idea what you're taking about and obviously incapable of critical thinking. Get your partisan head out of your *ss and get some fresh air... For what it's worth... not sure where I 'called you names'. Are you maybe hearing things?

That is ridiculous. Exactly how and with what curriculum are students being taught to hate Canada? Polls my *ss....show one that shows Canadian students with less pride in the country. Because you wallow in your own sh*t every day and complain about liberals and Carney that doesn't mean everyone else does. To the contrary....the large majority of ~68% are proud or very proud while ~12% are not very proud or not proud at all.

Winning the PM seat and the Tour de France in the same year.... be quite the accomplishment don't you. I'm looking on google for what your guy has won but can't seem to find anything... maybe just a bad connection. The election is over....get over it and move on. Root for your new PM's success....it ultimately benefits you doesn't it. Moving forward, call him Mr Prime Minister.

That's funny! No prices haven't gone up yet but it's early in the supply chain but the assumption is that tariffs with raise inflation while growth slows. It's why the Fed hasn't touch rates despite where inflation is. Surprisingly to you I hope for a zero outcome as well with no inflation. Not the way it works though. Companies will eat a smaller margin for a competitive edge, but unlikely to eat a large margin for no sales gain and a loss of profit - you get that. I've chosen no outcome because I can't figure out what Trump is doing or really wants, and obviously nobody else can either. Ever wonder if he can figure himself out? Anyway, hoping there's little affect. The US has always been and will be #1 or #2 economy in the world so of course you want trade. A lot of countries have looked elsewhere to diversify their trade because of Trump. Can't see how that's good for the US long term.

Most people have plans. Him and his band of the equally inept have none. In the meantime uncertainty affects business decisions and investments. It's a loss because of the uncertainty hanging over business, that trickles down to the consumer. Yes, this has been done before, in 1930 and didn't work out well, like this won't. I don't care about Biden or Afghanistan....this is about his so-called tariff policy You understand that it's ultimately a tax that you're paying, don't you?
-
What kind of deflection is this supposed to be... I don't agree - that's not hard to understand is it. What exactly am I supposed to say or do....and protect the people of the streets? This is Trump's great military triumph....banishing ~1000 TG's? Laugh my *ss off if one of them B52 bomber pilots that flew to Iran came out as a closet T 😂

The usual bob and weave.... I said that I do not agree with men playing woman sports but am not losing sleep about it because of the over-done rhetoric from Trump and the right. I don't think it's the world's biggest social issue but you think otherwise. Now you have nothing to say so talk about whatever it is you're trying to.... The convo was what has he done... all your presidents have been prepared to win wars haven't they? As long as I can remember the US has always had the largest and most lethal military in the world. Call that a win if you'd like, he needs one.

You didn't even read what you posted? 'A spokesperson for Prime Minister Mark Carney said the government won't be commenting until Trump signs an executive order and more details are available.' The markets were already reacting today to his tariff talk, and then the copper announcement. Anything Carney would have or could have said wasn't changing anything. Take a lesson from Carney.... Sometimes best to just keep your mouth shut.
