Irony of what? I've voted across the spectrum and wish the conservatives had a better leader, like a hell of a lot of other people do as well. Woof!
-
The comedy is priceless! Don't ignore the hypocrisy though... Woot Woot!!
-
You want to talk about Trudeau....why, he's not the PM. This is about Poilievre, who did though rally with a raucous crowd of about 15 people last night. Good for you hardcore conservatives... 👍
-
His speech brought a tear to my eye.... The Conservatives have a leadership problem, obviously. Poilievre is just not likeable and has been branded as such. That's fact. Trudeau's not the Prime Minister. Neither is Poilievre.
-
Everyone has an excuse, but they're just excuses... Yes it is embarrassing. A guy gets voted out of his seat and needed to travel 2,000 miles to the safest riding they could find to get him back in the house 4 months later. Take your political hat off for a minute.... there's something not right about that.
-
No, hypocrisy is complaining about the deficit but thinking it's okay to spend $2M to get some elected who was just unelected by his 20 year constituents. That's hypocrisy....
-
Again, it's hypocrisy.... Your 'real leader' was voted out by the constituents he's had for 20 years. Standard right wing response though on right on queue.... I see your bias has his term already figured out after only 4 months. I'll wait a bit longer...
-
I've said it doesn't upset...why would you think it does? I'm glad the Conservatives get the guy back but spare me with the cost story.... He lost an election and his seat 3 months ago and we just paid ~$2M to get his job back. That's a fact....
-
No, it's hypocrisy.... That's okay, we all have our biases.
-
lol.... hypocrisy is so much fun! 😂 And BTW.... The majority of Canadian's don't believe he's competent, which is all that matters.
-
lol.... keep trying Shady 😂 Facts are facts....and Poilievre had to run to buttluck AB to find a way back into his job. I'm sure you're good with the $2M we spent for that right...?
-
Just heard Poilievre's acceptance speech to the raucous crowd of 15 people in his new riding.... 'The deficit is out of control'..... but I do appreciate everyone ponying up for the $2M tax payer dollars to get my job back.

Air Canada Strike -Does Mark Carney have "power"?
LinkSoul60 replied to August1991's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Agree 100%.... I sure hope there are penalties for defying the back to work order. It's cost my wife and friends ~$3k but they had insurance through a tour group they'll get back. A whole lot of people are in different situations and what's out of their pockets isn't being reimbursed. Fine the unions *ss! -
On the contrary. I think it's good that he's back so the conservatives at least have a face. Mind you it's the face most Canadian's refused to vote for, but it's a face....

Air Canada Strike -Does Mark Carney have "power"?
LinkSoul60 replied to August1991's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Yep... it wasn't binding arbitration but appears the federally appointed mediator helped them get across the finish line. Well done Hadju... Travel is disrupted, and so is the pocket books of a lot of people... 2 f*cking days when this could have/should have been resolved before walking out. -
Pierre... Is that the guy who lost his riding in Ontario and had to travel 2,000 miles to buttluck Alberta to find one? Only cost taxpayers ~$2M because he couldn't win a riding he had for 20 years, but assuming that's money well spent 😂

Air Canada Strike -Does Mark Carney have "power"?
LinkSoul60 replied to August1991's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Damn liberal government.... CUPE, which represents more than 10,000 Air Canada flight attendants, said that after nine hours of talks with the assistance of the chief mediator appointed by the federal government, the deal struck will be presented to its membership, who will have an opportunity to ratify it. -
First Nations Summit Ends In Disaster For Carney
LinkSoul60 replied to CdnFox's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Being a default because off one parties failures doesn't necessarily mean it's good for Canada. The majority obviously didn't and still don't think so. No denying that some of the liberal policies have put us in a tough spot that isn't going to be easy to fix. We'll see if we elected the right guy to do it.
