Carneys announcement: Right thing to say, wrong time to say it. But the news cycle has moved on so it won't have any effect on trade deals. BTW; How long has Netenyahoo (the Strongman) been in power? 12, 15 years? And the "deadliest terrorist attack against Israel since its birth in 1948" took place on his watch. Obviously his way doesn't work.

Living in Nova Scotia at the time. When the first variant (the deadliest) was rampant the Maritimes were called "The Safest Place in the World" because of a very efficient lockdown. So of course I supported the lockdown. Only an id!ot wouldn't! I worked in construction, one of the few industries that kept going to keep the economy from total collapse. We masked, kept our distance, went home and stayed in. If the right wing A-holes had had their way (no lockdown, no masks, gatherings allowed, etc... we would have had a lot more deaths! To say otherwise is STUPID! Glad you agree with me.

Wow- you're from NB and don't know about the large Acadian population just across the Bay of Fundy from you? After the expulsion a lot of Acadians returned to NS but of course couldn't get back the great farmlands the Brits stole from them so they settled where they could, between Digby and Yarmouth. Rappie pie, scallops, and lobster.

Time for Alaska to become the 11th province. Time for Hawaii to break free.

Americans haven't been this gleeful since 1928. -
I totally agree for NS, PEI, and NB, but I suggest they call the new province Acadia, given the area's history. And if they couldn't agree on a capital, have a floating legislature - 4 or 8 years in each of the present capitals. Easily doable these days. Amalgamation would save a lot of money and give the area a little more clout. But NFLD is a distinct society and might want to stay that way. Unfortunately, politicians don't like giving up power, even if it's for the greater good.

So it's not just us and it isn't new... Oct 11, 2020 Nashville,TN. "We had THREE venue changes and so much resistance BUT THE CHURCH WILL NOT BE SILENCED!" Oct 12 2020: Nashville Tennessean "Nashville did not permit the event Nashville officials said Monday morning that organizers did not apply for a permit to host the event and that the Metro Public Health Department is working to investigate what happened." But here's what he's really about: Rolling Stone: July 11, 2022 "Sean Feucht Ministry Inc. ballooned in revenue from $280,000 in 2019 to more than $5.3 million in 2020, ending the year $4 million richer than it started. (The accounting is curious: The ministry claims to have received zero dollars in contributions, despite Feucht avidly soliciting such gifts.) Warren Cole Smith, president of Ministry Watch, says that leveraging a ministry to live the high life, is not just unseemly, it’s potentially illegal. If a guy that makes less than $200,000 a year is buying multiple, million-dollar properties, at a minimum that warrants additional questions.” What’s more curious is that Fuecht, who slaps “donate” buttons on all of his web sites, told the IRS he received zero dollars in contributions in 2020. Yet a review of public Venmo transactions reveals that Fuecht’s ministry received at least 250 donations during a one-week stretch in July 2020." Christians love that graft!
