Really her skin colour (and gender) isn't and shouldn't be an issue, though it's played a large role in getting her all the way to the point of presidential candidate for the Democrats without having to win one single primary. The bigger issue is exactly that - why she could never win a primary if forced to follow the US "democratic" system - she's unlikeable, her policies are trash, and she's been a terrible VP.
