You are playing games now, purposefully avoiding my questions. I did not ask you if you merely support the right to protest. "they took out the trash" was not my statement to retract, but to the point of the sentiment behind it, if you are going to support "protests" that break the law and interfere with peoples ability to travel, that IS trash, and don't be shocked when people take matters into their own hands to take out that trash in their way. In regards to this incident, one of those "protestors" was openly carrying an AK-47 and approached the driver of a vehicle they were illegally blocking on the street in a threatening manner. The driver took that as a threat to his life and acted in self-defense. My point here is that if you are going to engage in illegal activity, you shouldn't be armed in the process or act in a threatening manner to others. They may perceive you to be a threat.... this is a tragic incident easily avoided in the future by not breaking the law or being armed and acting in a threatening manner to others while doing so.

About 2/3 of those deaths are suicides. It is a disgrace, but suicide is not unique to America. And killing yourself with drugs, rope, or exhaust is still dead. The US has a violence problem, across the board. Guns or no guns. We have higher rates of violent crimes. Guns do not cause this, we have some underlying cultural issues that are. All in all, our rates of violence are highest or higher as compared to our other western nations, but we are talking about the differences like 1 murder per 100K in European countries vs 5 in the US. Bad... but not 20 per 100K kind of "disgraceful" bad.

Do you support these protestors blocking traffic in the streets? Do you support the local DA's not pressing charges? Do you support the police treating them with kid gloves, spending hours trying to negotiate with them before finally arresting them only after they caused people to be blocked from traveling for hours on end? If the police don't just outright ignore them, do you support that?

No, it was not. They were given punch cards and the voting "machine" was a manual punch tool they were provided attached to the "machine" https://www.si.edu/object/voting-machine-used-2000-presidential-election%3Anmaahc_2013.181.1a-h "To the right of the plastic cover is red type. In the top right corner of the voting surface is a metal chain connected to a metal point meant to be held by the voter. " What is wrong? I asked you to tell me, not make the same assertion again. I am making perfect sense. Once voters punched their ballots, they were taken to a machine to be scanned (counted). It is their fault that they failed to check their ballots to ensure they were properly marked. When these were counted at the end of the night, Gore lost. The recounts used machines to scan the ballots for proper markings again. Gore Lost. What Gore wanted to do was to manually review those ballots that were not properly marked to try to interpret voter intent. He only wanted to do this in the districts that most favored him. They wanted to presume in the most favorable instances to them. Gore also tried to get Military ballots thrown out. Gore was trying to steal the election. The SCOTUS ruled: "Despite violating the Fourteenth Amendment by using disparate vote-counting procedures in different counties, Florida did not need to complete a recount in the 2000 presidential election because it could not be accomplished in a constitutionally valid way within the time limit set by federal law for resolving these controversies." There had already been a recount with the scanning machines. Gore Lost. Instead of accepting these basic facts, you are no better than what you think of Trump for not accepting his loss.

Nothing you said contradicts me or explains how I didn't understand. The fact that people turned in ballots that were not complete or accurately marked is still their either punching a hole or not punching a hole. And if they failed to punch the hole to the point the machines couldn't tell... then it was humans trying to "interpret" their intent. The machines recounted the votes. Gore lost.

That is exactly how it works. Calling me names doesn't make your ignorance here any better. You are here arguing that Hamas gets to rape, torture, kill women and children and then run back to their safe zone and hide behind civilian targets thumbing their noses saying "you can't get me!" This is not some childish playground game. Your argument fails on any basic level of common sense, nevermind international laws from the Geneva Convention to other forms of international laws like those the ICC adopted clearly state this as well. I said I could spam the thread if you like. You pretended to be ignorant of these things, one example is all it takes to show you how ignorant you are. You could try to get a shred of intellectual integrity here. As much credibility as Hamas? Hamas lies 10,000 times and you find one Israeli mistake and declare them equal to Hamas. Your arguments are absurd nonsense. No one is pretending anything, in this scenario the enemy is fighting from a Hospital. That makes it a legitimate military target. No, I am someone smart enough to understand how smart bombs differ from dumb bombs in their employment.

If all they did was wander around and leave ,they never joined a lynch mob. Lots of them had nothing to do with the rioting mob. The DOJ as spent years pouring over video and railroading people to the greatest extent of the law they can get away with and more. They are not traitors when the most they can come up with is that they were on video wandering around and then leaving to charge them with illegal parading. You are not being a reasonable person here. Just as you are not in other discussions we have been in.

I don't have to imagine. The good guys don't hide behind women and children like you support and encourage. When Hamas hides behind them, they turn them into military targets. You encourage this cowardly behavior because you sit here expecting Israel not to fight a war against Hamas because they hide behind their people. OK Hamas defender. This is not an Israeli source, although I could spam this thread with plenty of pictures and videos they have provided during this war, too... https://www.unrwa.org/newsroom/press-releases/unrwa-condemns-placement-rockets-second-time-one-its-schools Here you go: Hamas caught firing rockets from next to UN facilities, schools - IDF https://www.jpost.com/breaking-news/article-769653 "Hamas has placed its rocket launchers next to schools, UN facilities, mosques, and kindergartens, with the IDF publishing aerial footage showing the proximity of the launchers to civilian facilities on Sunday." Enough of your dumb games faking ignorance on this stuff. No, I did not. The laws of war allow for the targeting of civilian infrastructure when they are military targets. You don't get to put your anti-aircraft guns on the roof of a Hospital to shoot down enemy planes and then cry it is a war crime when they blow up the Hospital to stop it.

I have quoted you and responded to you every step of the way. I am no liar. That is all you can pathetically come up with because you can't do anything else. And you have already done more than what you claim here about how you have not said "anything about women other than they are as capable as men of thriving and achieving in this modern world. "You just did. If you are so concerned about honesty, look at your own posting here. Your entire last post was more than that. Look at you, finally getting a bit more honest about what he was doing, still not all the way there, but using the word encourage is a start. Keep working on the rest.

Here you go again... this thread was about women and the lies you and others keep telling about what Butker said. Along the way, you decided to start demeaning women too. The fact that you clarify your comments and include your insulting others, too, doesn't change that. YOU are the one who thinks being a homemaker is not work. These are your demeaning characterizations, not reality. Homemakers are very hard-working people who are investing in their families. They have ambitions and dreams, they are just not the ambitions or dreams YOU expect of them. Yet again, here is the irony, Butker was encouraging women, you are the one here telling them what they should be doing, and even dreaming. Talk about hubris. YOU are the person pushing the diabolical lies Butker was talking about. It is exactly what you are doing and continue to do. Not only are you demeaning them, you are here telling them what they have to dream and what their ambitions have to be. Its disgusting.

NATO is a defensive alliance. They have been expanding since they were created. What are these agreements you speak of? Let me guess, more Russian propaganda? So, lets review here. You push Russian propaganda and basically work to justify their invasion and support their victory... and now you want to disband NATO. Go figure. Seriously, why even pretend that you are not an outright supporter of Putin and Russia at this point? What reality am I denying? You are the one pushing outdated information, pushing "facts" that are anything but, and are pushing Russian propaganda. Ukraine is defending itself. You are opposing any support for them. Your position is nonsensical and I have repeatedly asked you to explain why Russia is going to negotiate peace with Ukraine when they are weak and do not have our support.

Trump Was Incredibly Bad At Presidenting
User replied to robosmith's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
There is no point in pretending Trump's White House Staffing was not a complete crap show for most of 4 years. He did not have enough good advisors or experienced executive branch people to help him or be in a position to help him enough. He was also his worst enemy because he was not formal in dealing with people. He hired far too many political friends or connected people, folks with ulterior motives. Trump needed a far more disciplined cabinet, and the staff were loyal to him and hardworking. The good news is that he learned his lesson the hard way, and I am pretty hopeful this time around, he will be ruthless in running the executive branch. -
No crap, you have been demeaning women who are homemakers for pages now. You are saying outright far worse than anything Butker said. You are why Butker said what he did and called it diabolical lies, because you are demeaning women who choose to invest in their families and Butker was encouraging them and lifting them up, praising them.
