I'm rather cynical about climate change, and human motivation to halt the rise in greenhouse gases. Judging by human history, it will take a catastrophic event to bring climate change into the forefront. Even then, people are so greedy that they would probably kill each other off, rather than make a real effort to change their lifestyles.

Mutant apples in Canada

I hope it at least tasted good. Many of us do not ahve the time to make salads. -
This is what you wrote: "We are about 15 to 20 years away from some of the western provinces being truly viable on their own and as that approaches seperation becomes more and more likely. Especially with a higher percent of immigrants as part of the population who don't have that same inherited sense of 'canada' being one big nation." In other words, you stated in two posts in the past few hours, that Western Canada is actually closer to separating from Canada than 20 years ago. I just proved that to be false, as people are less willing to vote for separation now than in 2005. Take the "L" champ.

That poll is 20 years old. Here is a far more recent poll taken in 2023: Fewer Than One-in-Four Albertans Consent to Full Independence July 7, 2023By Mario Canseco Support rises slightly if other Canadian provinces join in, but majorities reject all scenarios. Vancouver, BC [July 7, 2023] – Compared to early 2021, fewer Albertans are openly welcoming the concept of outright sovereignty, a new Research Co. poll has found. In the online survey of a representative provincial sample, only 22% of Albertans agree with the idea of Alberta becoming a country independent from Canada, down three points since a similar Research Co. survey conducted in February 2021. Residents of the Calgary Metropolitan Area are more likely to support the notion of a sovereign Alberta (26%) than their counterparts in the Edmonton Metropolitan Area (18%) and all other regions of the province (23%). While only 9% of Albertans who voted for the New Democratic Party (NDP) in this year’s provincial election favour the idea of Alberta’s independence, the proportion rises to 29% among those who cast ballots for the governing United Conservative Party (UCP). source; https://researchco.ca/2023/07/07/alberta-separation-2/

Well the Nazis also banned books when they came to power, declaring them "pornographic" so this is no unprecedented in history. BTW, you may want to find a more reliable source than "The Daily Signal" which is pretty much a borderline Nazi site in itself. How mature, Skippy. lol...I'm always amazed about the absolutely batshit insane conspiracy theories that people will believe.

I was actually referring to Worldwide: "Despite improved treatment and the growing, albeit inequitable, availability of vaccines and therapeutics for COVID-19, 2021 was its deadliest year. About 3.9 million COVID-19 deaths occurred in 2021, representing about half of all COVID-19 deaths from 2020-2022. This is probably related to the emergence of the delta variant, which was much more likely to lead to fatal outcomes compared to the ancestral variant, and the omicron variant, which despite being less severe than the ancestral variant is more transmissible. Despite the relaxing of mitigation measures and the expiration of some public health emergency orders, 2022 had the fewest annual deaths from COVID, about 1.3 million, likely due to widespread population immunity from vaccines, infection, or both." source: https://www.thinkglobalhealth.org/article/just-how-do-deaths-due-covid-19-stack ----- Thankfully with the distribution of the COVID vaccines among more countries, the death rates for COVID have dropped substantially from 2021.

No, there is not. False. Can you provide any examples of this? Incorrect. More people died in 2021 than 2022. (2.53 M in 2021 compared to 1.2 M in 2022) Transgender "grooming" is not a major issue. It never has been, and it is not an issue today. People who believe it is, need to get outside, and leave their basement. And so are pretty much every aspect of society. The highest rates of child grooming are in religious institutions (churches). More child groomers are from Republican homes. This is called "projecting," Not necessarily. If parents watch their children carefully, and have a close relationship, they are likely to spot grooming behaviour. This is why groomers typically gravitate to broken homes, since it is not as easy to be detected. The number of drag queens "grooming" children is almost non-existent. The problem is, you watch far-right TV programs, instead of checking out reputable sources to see if what Tucker Carlson says is true (which it is generally not). Can you define what a "leftist troll" is...?

I support Transgenders from having full civil rights too. Having said that, they should definitely be banned from Women's sports and women's spaces. Biological males competing in Women's sports is cheating, plain and simple. As for the "child grooming" that is ridiculous, and I cannot believe it is being made a major political issue, as it is a nothing burger,

If we were to compare IQ scores, Michael would likely come on top by at least 40 points. My guess is 128-88. You ahve a limited intellect, I commend you for trying. There is nothing wrong with being in the bottom 1/3 of the general public when it comes to intelligence. God just made you that way. Actually, this forum does not have the best reputation. I've actually had to dumb myself down just to fit in. This is a borderline White supremacist site.

What the hell are you going on about? Not if the kid decides to go over to a friends house, where the parents do not supervise their child. This happens all the time. A kid who is restricted access to the family internet, will likely just find one of their friends, who has parents who are either out, or do not supervise what their child watches. This happened to me as a child. I was not allowed to watch old reruns of Three's Company, but if I was at my friends house, they had no problem letting us view the sitcom, so I watched it there. What the hell are you talking about. Just because you fantasise about 7 year old girls, does not give you the right to project your sexual deviance on me.

Scott Moe probably drove drunk at least 300 times in his life. He was arrested twice on DUI charges (convicted once), and killed a woman by blowing through a stop sign. Moe eventually matured, but not before he had to face the consequences of a DUI conviction, which was not nearly as severe in the 90s as it is today. Rumor has it that he was so drunk that he urinated in his pants while in the back of the squad car.
