Your initial statement of "fascism is Roman" was a little to broad and general for me, I miss understood the part where you talked about Augustus and his followers, Technically I am starting to think we were both saying the same thing about this just differently and not understanding each other. I did not study the emperors and there views as much as I studied their military movements and advances religion and how the Roman Senate worked. Didn't the Senate and Augustus kill Julius for being to much of a well fascist? Then just continued the practice?

There are huge difference between most of the governments that can trace its roots back to Rome. IF perchance you are a Christian, Muslim, Jew or Islamic you believe based on your holy book that everyone is a descendant of either Adam, or Noah. Not to stick my toes back in this coo coo clock again but there is an issue with what you are saying Carbon is a element all by itself and is in fact the basis for life on this planet. Oxygen is a element all by itself and what humans need to breath to survive and has other uses, like fire. Carbon Monoxide is a product of most pollution producing industries and IS in fact harmful and poisonous and harmful to the environment, humans and life in general. Well that is your interpretation of that article I disagree with your assessment. I always thought it was more about economics that policy turns out it is about both. Just because everything is communal does not equal no economy, goods are still produced services are still traded. The difference is that the community owns everything and gets all the profits instead of an individual. (Capitalism) You being right about it also being about policy does not make it not about economics unless you want to ignore part of the ideology.

And to clarify I was asking in the topic why everyone not just in this forum seems to go to the "You're a Fascist" card when faced with someone that is strong in their beliefs. Not what Fascism mean. I put the definition there to show what exactly we were calling each other. No where in that statement do you say that they are incapable of believing the ideals of fascism. Well I hate to break you heart but I am afraid communism is in fact all about economics and not policy, Sen. McCarthy (raging nutter) cause that misconception and Stalin and his cronies did not help. For example: in a small village in the Artic or some place equally harsh or isolated, communism works, If everyone does not pull their weight do their share and EQUALLY share all goods and services with one another. They all die. The problem come in when the village reaches the size that greed can become a factor, then communism like socialism falls apart because they do not factor in greed. Actually to me, and I am not familiar with the speech mentioned here, I did not really focus on Italy when studying WW2, it sounds like he is trying to introduce a political ideal and a economic philosophy, while naming the economic philosophy about a different type of political philosophy. Explain to me your reason a 10 year old rape victim should be forced to carry to term please. I believe in medical and mental health abortions a medical abortion saved my daughters life, a mental health abortion would have saved a friend of mine in school from being labeled a whore and coming to believe she ASKED to be raped by her uncle. This issue is not black and white there is no yes or no answer that will work for everyone. Should abortion be legal? Yes, it stop the back alley abortions from happening and allows for medical and mental health abortions that NO ONE in their right mind who truly believes in religious freedom should be against. We will agree to disagree. I will not convince you and you will not convince me. And that is fine, my opinion is that riots are crimes and should not happen. Yours is that some of them are not crimes and were necessary. While I don't fully disagree with about The Watts Riots. I cannot condone them because all of the damage happened to the neighborhood and businesses of the people that were trying to get more rights. Did it work yes, does that make it right? No not in my opinion.

Also you will once again notice that I am not disputing your take that the riots were the catalyst for the needed change. I am and will maintaining riots are crimes and therefore do more harm than good.

Were you? I will admit no I was not but my parents were, they taught about that time and while they denounced the riots, and even said that they were inevitable. They taught me Dr. King's philosophy about bringing about change. And yeah it did work for him over 50 years later and the man is still respected, and admired and held up as an example of a good human being. Or at least his teachings are.
