Every self made, successful person came from a family who supported him/her. My family supported me, until I went to work on my own. I don't credit my parents directly for graduating college Magna Cum Laude, (which occurred in my 40s when I went back to school.) And my parents died before I became an educator. I DO credit my father for my work ethic.
