  1. He's pulling them comically hard. Forbes As reserves of armored vehicles run out amid catastrophic losses in Ukraine and western Russia, the Russian military is normalizing assaults in civilian cars. And not just any civilian cars, but Lada Zhigulis: compact models that are just 16 feet from fender to fender and weigh slightly more than one ton.
  2. So, so crazy. Good thing we're out of the middle east. And the idea that we'd send our boys to fight and die for a Trump casino in Gaza is peak Trump. The stupid half of America will pay with their children.
  3. Sorry, dipshit, they may not have covered this in your infobubble, but it's history in the books. Enjoy your denial.
  4. I wasn't involved in that conversation at all. And no, what kind of functional adult is going to watch some click-baity bullshit from Youtube? Do you not have a job or other responsibilities that that's how you spend your time? Jeebus. I am actively opposed to helping asshats monetize misinformation on social media. Find real news and read that instead. ACTUAL journalists will do the work to tease out the details of the story: what we've committed, what's been disbursed, the form of aid, etc.
  5. Okay, so maybe when you actually have something to share you can come back to the group...
  6. Missing according to whom? Unaccounted for according to whom? Is this just some shit you read on new-Twitter? Do you have facts to contribute, or are we going to debate a rumor? What do you even want to talk about?
  7. RFK’s hearings remove all doubt: He’s not fit to lead a key federal health agency "Look, it’s never wrong to ask questions, even about “settled” science. But Kennedy has spent a near-lifetime promoting a dangerous, outright lie about vaccines, even in the face of hard proof that they work. That might’ve dissuaded many people from getting them and then later contracting illnesses they could’ve prevented. Oh, and by coincidence, his anti-Big Pharma claims just so happen to supply ammunition for fellow lawyers suing those companies. Kennedy’s bizarre beliefs go even further: He’s bought into conspiracy theories that the generally acknowledged story of 9/11 isn’t to be believed. He’s stood by claims that “electromagnetic radiation” from Wi-Fi “changes DNA” and is linked to cancer. Most of all, Kennedy lacks basic skills to run a large federal agency, particularly one where “following the science” is actually vital. True, he does support some worthwhile lifestyle changes that can make folks healthier — like better diets and exercise. But there’s too much wackiness in his background to trust America’s health to such a figure. Senators need to block RFK Jr.’s nomination — and keep America healthy again."
  8. We sure do. That resurgent Taliban that Trump empowered facilitated a terrorist attack on our troops. Who could have predicted? If you want to raise a new topic, go for it, but you'll have to be more specific.
  9. I think we've covered this plenty. The Trump administration signed the papers functionally giving Afghanistan back to the Taliban. Trump tried to withdraw 100% of the troops before leaving office, but only made it to 90%. Much like the economy, he left Biden a complete mess, a resurgent Taliban, and only a token force left in country. What you're trying to do is really pretty absurd. It's like if the Biden passed a $100 billion in spending but only disbursed $90 billion by Jan 6, and the final $10 billion went out after Trump took office. Who spent $100 billion? Was it Trump, since he was there for the final 10%? Trump withdrew the US from Afghanistan. Biden just brought the last few troops home.
  10. Are you asking if-- or proposing that-- the Afghanistan withdrawal was a similar abandonment? Different scenarios in many ways (internal vs external, length of engagement, geopolitical stakes, etc). But there are some similarities. Particularly the way that Trump excluded the Afghan government from the withdrawal deal, essentially just giving the country back to the Taliban. That could have been managed better. He did the same thing with the Kurds in Syria, who had already paid a high price for taking our side. Frankly, that's just Trump's nature. As soon as it benefits him to turn on an ally, he will. His loyalty is a one-way street.
  11. There's an orange man in office who clearly isn't qualified for the job. That's the only answer.
  12. Trump didn't think something through? Said something stupid? We've been watching this same shitshow for a decade already.
  13. I'll give you a little device to help you remember. "Looser" is how your butthole feels after the gigolo in the Trump mask leaves. "Loser" is what he calls you while you sub.
  14. Exactly. Trump 1 handed Biden a dumpster fire. Recovery and growth under Biden were strong--particularly compared to global peers. But Trump has vowed to undo everything that Biden accomplished, and it appears that promise extends to the economy. Trump is dumb, but his voters are worse.
  15. I gotta tell you, repeatedly trying to hit people with an insult that you can't manage spell properly really undermines the point.
  16. I think I've seen this episode of Fantasy Showcase. It was boring the first time, and certainly not helpful to people living in the real world.
  17. Your master plan: Pretend you weren't wrong about undocumented immigrant eligibility for welfare or food stamps. (just memory hole that) Dig up the first report you can Google that you hope will support your already busted thesis (without realizing it's from a white nationalist anti-immigrant activist group rather an actual think tank) Whine and cry about the "bullies" who called out the publisher as a hate group (those sure are some thin-skinned hate groups) Where does that leave us? Oh, yeah. Right back at step 1, in which the undocumented aren't eligible for welfare or food stamps.
  18. Of course not. There are criteria. But also this one is pretty well known.
  19. Lol. As in, not a document FROM Congress, but a "report" submitted TO Congress--from a designated hate group, no less. Your going to need to reconsider your understanding of the word "proved."
  20. Did you hurt your back moving that goalpost? Can't man up and own the mistake? Aside from trying to cite CIS, can you think of any problems with that phrasing?
  21. Protip: You don't have to quote someone to post one of your senile rants, apropos of nothing. You can just post it on it's own.
  22. A. You should provide evidence for these claims. A citation at minimum. B. If it's an NY City program the city is "picking up the tab" and there may or may not be state and federal funds in the mix--managed by the city. C. These programs are implemented this way for the same reason that federal programs use a debit system: because it's a hell of a lot cheaper to let people shop at stores than to create a parallel logistics and distribution network for government goods. D. Someone who has been granted asylum or in the asylum process is not illegal or undocumented. E. People in that process are legally prohibited from working until they have work permits. They're not to freeloading. They're doing as we require. It's only polite to not let them freeze or starve. 🙄
  23. Read your own link, dipshit. "Only U.S. citizens and certain lawfully present non-citizens may receive SNAP benefits. SNAP is not and has never been available to undocumented non-citizens."
  24. Bullshit. The undocumented are not eligible for welfare or food "stamps."
  25. A. Within 36 hours 5 people involved had died. B. How is that farking relevant to your asinine claim that firing the agents who investigated this massive, violent attack on our legislators amounts to dismantling a banana Republic. Obviously--hugely farking OBVIOUSLY--that incident must be investigated. Only in a "banana Republic" would a politically constituted police force not investigate something like that perpetrated by "their side." Which is exactly what Trump is broadcasting loud and clear: no independent justice to hold him accountable.
