No, the FACT is that all the Southern states used to support and elect Dixiecrats, but now they are SOLIDLY Republican. ONE major reason they stay Republican, is by suppressing the vote in certain (black) neighborhoods, and lately they do this by limiting or eliminating drop boxes and vote by mail or limiting resources in those neighborhoods that creates very long lines for voting.
