  1. Young Canadians are not a happy bunch.
  2. Even while the judge admits that he thinks the guy is guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. This is bullshit. We should be throwing his ass out of the country. Instead, he's going to sue us and demand permanent residency.
  3. There speaks a man who has never had to wait months for an MRI to tell him what's wrong with something. What we should have done a decade or two back was establish a royal commission on healthcare, or something similar to study and compare our system with other western nations and figure out what they're doing right and we're doing wrong and how to change our system to be more like theirs.
  4. Our elder and end-of-life care sucks ass. How are we spending so much for that and getting so little?
  5. And other questions that might occur and have occurred over the years about why we spend so much on healthcare and seem to get so little. Evidently, we're now spending more per person than France. France has almost twice as many MRIs as we do. France has 5.5 hospital beds per 1,000 people. Canada has 2.5. We spend more than Japan. They have almost six times more MRIs. They have over 12 hospital beds per person to our 2.5. Why? https://archive.is/qXb2N
  6. So here's what you do. You call in the army CoS and say "Tell me what you want this week and I'll order it through a sole source contract. No, we're not going to wait five years to 'identify' and begin procurement of a new tank. There are realistically only two on the market anyway. The Leopard, which will take forever, given the backlog, or the Panther. They're still 'contemplating' what they want for medium tracked combat vehicles? You have a week to contemplate and then tell me so I can buy it. If you can't, pack your bags and I'll appoint someone else to your job. You don't know what you need for infantry anti-armor? Well figure it out within a week or I'll ask the British and US what they use and buy one of those. Subs? There's only two in the running and everyone knows the Korean one is better for us and can be delivered faster. They're delaying in hopes of extracting more economic benefits by twisting their arms to try and get an auto factory here. There is no time for this bullshit. Do sole-source contracts immediately.
  7. So it was money already announced. It's not new. And it's not military. Thanks for clearing that up, party man. And he hasn't actually spent it yet. You apparently haven't read anything I've written over the last few years about corporate Canada. A solid one. And absolutely fukin yes.
  8. Why is it that when I travel to Western countries, I'm told not to bring in any nuts, seeds, fruits, vegetables, meat or mud on my shoes, because any foreign organism could upset the delicate balance of the ecosystem and introduce pests, diseases or predators. But when it comes to human migration, our leaders want to bring in millions of unvetted, unmonitored men from areas where meningitis, tuberculosis, Ebola, and various other diseases are rife? The same governments that say a ham sandwich could damage a country say that mass immigration can only be a good thing; and the violent, mediaeval, misogynistic, homophobic, sectarian cultures that these men bring with them are much needed "diversity"? Even when we can all see the issues with alien cultures of grooming gangs, female genital mutilation, cousin marriage, acid attacks, terrorism and honour killings? If diversity truly is a strength, then bullfrogs, tsetse flies and man-eating tigers will be an incredible boon to any city they're unleashed in. - Comedian Leo Kearse
  9. My understanding is that virtually all the money announced last Friday had already been announced in 2022, and much of it isn't for the military at all, but for civilian infrastructure. Space investments? LOL Just a gift from the taxpayers to Carny's friends in corporate Canada.
  10. Great! Name these new weapons systems, please. Why have we not already ordered new anti-aircraft and anti-armor missile systems for the army? What about new artillery? Tanks? Armored vehicles? Anti-drone systems? Why haven't we ordered new subs yet? Have we done anything to speed up the construction of the world's most costly frigates? Or is most of this new spending going to be on non-military 'support' infrastructure' or things like incorporating fishery patrol ships into the military?
  11. Dan Burmawy · Why does Islam produce more terrorists than any other ideology? Islam made it possible to always have a steady supply of terrorists through a very specific theological structure: 1: Terrifying Muslims with hell to such a degree that many lose interest in life itself. The Qur’an repeatedly describes hell in graphic terms meant to produce overwhelming fear: Qur’an 4:56 “Those who disbelieve in Our verses, We will drive them into a Fire. Every time their skins are roasted through We will replace them with other skins so they may taste the punishment.” Qur’an 22:19–20 “Garments of fire will be cut for them, and boiling water will be poured over their heads, melting what is within their bellies and their skins.” Qur’an 14:16–17 “Before him is Hell, and he will be given pus to drink. He will gulp it but will hardly swallow it.” When people are raised from childhood with the constant fear of eternal torture, life itself begins to lose meaning compared to the urgency of avoiding hell. 2: Closing all doors of guaranteed salvation except through jihad. No Muslim can ever be certain of salvation. Even Muhammad himself is told that he does not know what will happen to him: Qur’an 46:9 “I do not know what will be done with me or with you.” But jihad is the only act with explicit promises of paradise: Qur’an 9:111 “Indeed, Allah has purchased from the believers their lives and their properties [in exchange] for Paradise. They fight in the cause of Allah, so they kill and are killed.” Qur’an 61:10–12 “Shall I guide you to a transaction that will save you from a painful punishment? Believe in Allah and His Messenger and strive (Do jihad) in the cause of Allah with your wealth and your lives… He will admit you to gardens beneath which rivers flow.” When salvation is uncertain but martyrdom guarantees paradise, the incentive structure becomes obvious. 3: Promising that a martyr can intercede for dozens of his relatives and save them from the grave and hellfire. A martyr receives extraordinary privileges in the afterlife. Sunan al-Tirmidhi 1663 “The martyr has six blessings… he is forgiven with the first drop of blood… and he will intercede for seventy of his relatives.” Sunan Ibn Majah 2799 “The martyr will be allowed to intercede for seventy members of his family.” This means the act of dying in jihad is not only a personal salvation, but as the rescue of one’s entire family from punishment. Any Muslim who explodes anywhere in the world as a result of religious devotion is the product of a theological system deliberately constructed to produce exactly that outcome. A system that terrifies believers with hell, offers them almost no certainty of salvation, and then opens a single glorious exit: jihad in the path of Allah. The Islamic terrorists are not merely the perpetrators of violence. They are also the victims of a theology that weaponizes fear, despair, and the promise of paradise.
  12. The percentage of Canadian adults with very good to perfect functional health declined from 68.6% in 2015 to 56.4% in 2024.
  13. Sexual assault rates have skyrocketed in Canada since the Liberals took power. Probably due to a combination of slack law enforcement with easy bail, weak sentences, and a massive wave of newcomers mostly unskilled and uneducated, almost entirely unscreened, from extremely misogynistic societies.
  14. I have no idea what justification was made to spend federal tax dollars to build a mosque in the Northwest Territories. I've never heard of them giving money to build a Catholic church anywhere. Has anyone else? I presume this is vote-buying. This is from a few years ago and people are saying online that like so many other projects, the cost has actually ballooned tenfold since then. This is just one of the many, many, many, hundreds of grants given to various ethnic, religious, racial, and other groups in order to buy loyalty to the Liberal party.
  15. Yes. He's another liberal. Yes. These questions are simplistic. No offense.
  16. And they pay a 25% VAT and there is no refund cheque coming in the mail for that. It's applied to almost everything, including food and drugs.
  17. I think it's mandatory and urgent. But it will never happen under a Liberal government because they desperately want those Muslim votes. Watching politics in the UK, as I do, it's striking the similarity to the politics here, both in regard to the problems facing them and to the hypocrisy of left-wing parties more than eager to ignore future problems for votes now. Canada continues to import many low-skilled people to keep wages down and to appeal to demographic groups that tend to vote Liberal. The Liberals have watered down the 'skilled immigrant' category enormously to bring over more French speakers who will settle in shrinking Francophone areas of English Canada. These will mostly be Muslims: low-skilled people from North Africa and parts of the Middle East. Every statistical study I've ever seen, including those of immigrants in Canada, says these are the least economically successful immigrants/refugees in every country they go to. Not to mention, they commit crimes greatly disproportionate to others. But they vote Liberal, and bringing them over will also appeal to Francophone groups, who also tend to vote Liberal. And that is all that really matters to the government.
  18. So who is calling for screening? I haven't even seen anything in the mainstream media calling for screening for values. I haven't heard any politician calling for it either, from any party. Carny's been in place a year and I have seen nothing to indicate they are looking for even a higher skill level among immigrants, much less better values. If we were more mature, I would expect Poilievre, at least, to be calling for value screening among immigrants. I haven't heard a peep from him or any other conservative party MP. Their base, absolutely. But their base completely supported values screening when Leitch proposed it.
  19. You have forgotten that time in 2016, just ten years ago, when Kellie Lietch, ex-cabinet minister running for the Conservative leadership, proposed a 'values test'? The entire media and political establishment lost their collective minds. She was condemned repeatedly by every politician and pundit who could get near a microphone. I think Andrew Coyne wrote at least three frothing-at-the-mouth columns about the idea. Every other Tory leadership candidate disagreed with her, some very strongly. She was denounced by union leaders, academics, and all sorts of NGOs. The only people who had any interest in the idea were... the people. Polls showed the idea was very popular. Ten years later, we do literally nothing to filter out bad values/views/beliefs. Not in immigrants, not in refugees, not in foreign students or foreign workers. So why do you think there wouldn't be much pushback?
  20. It CAN make a difference. I, for example, oppose allowing any Muslims to come to Canada to settle here unless they have forsaken much of the core tenets of Islam. I do so by publicly exposing its history, its core beliefs, and the actions of its followers around the world. So do tens and hundreds of thousands of others who see Islam as a creeping, existential danger to the West, who see it as a brutal, intolerant, morally and intellectually bankrupt cult. The more this information is put out there the more likely people will be to demand governments stop the inflow of Muslims, not just here but across the West. The pushback from the morally bankrupt liberal elites has been furious, of course, no more so than in Canada. It may be that the far right, even parties I personally call far right, will have to gain power in order to do as the public wants, for so far the elites have utterly ignored public concerns.
  21. Or as Sam Harris has said "The only problem with Muslim fundamentalists are the fundamentals of Islam." Muhammed is considered the perfect man, the man all Muslims should emulate. Now look at ISIS. It murders and tortures and rapes. It enslaves girls, literally puts them on sale as sex slaves. It beheads people from other religions who refuse to convert. Muhammed did all of these things repeatedly. And Islam makes no apologies for it but justifies and even glories in his actions. That is the fundamental problem with Islam. It considers all non-believers to be prey and exempts its followers from all morality in dealing with them. You can steal from them, murder them, rape their women, do basically whatever you want to them. All of this is sanctified in the Quran, and no mainstream cleric or school of Islam has ever denied this. They might use soft, weasel words when talking in foreign languages to Westerners, but it's quite clear they have not forsaken any of this.
  22. This individual plucks a few examples of tolerance in a few Islamic rulers from centuries past and you believe this demonstrates some sort of context for today?
  23. No, the problem with Islam most definitely IS Islamic beliefs. The other is secondary, and principally comes from hypocrisy.
  24. I would respond that the problem with Islam is its unwavering determination that all the world must be under Islam, and that until that time, there will be endless war against all the lands that refuse to bow to Mecca. You think the only reason to criticize Islamic culture is to feel good about myself? What if I heavily disapprove of so many religion-based aspects of Islamic culture and society that I am disgusted by its barbarism, intolerance, and brutality? Not to mention that it insists everyone join it and live under its savage rules or die.
  25. It's 33% of income earners who pay no income tax. They mostly pay no GST either, as they get refund cheques. Why be ashamed? There will always be low-income earners in every society. There have been rich and poor in every society throughout history. There always will be. As for income taxes, Denmark does it better. All Danes pay income tax if they earn income. They believe you need to pay your share. You need to have some skin in the game. Otherwise, everyone who pays no income tax will vote for the parties that promise them the most free stuff. That leads to a downhill race that bankrupts the nation.
