OK. I give in. You are the best.

Attack? Who? When? Mellow out Dude. Army Guy and I had a very good civil discussion.

Ask everybody else to identify themselves Dougie...see what it gets you. I know what I am and am happy. I don't need to insult as you seem to have to. Seems you have the complex and that is OK too. Be well dougie93

Except Sergeant, Warrant Officer, Master Warrant Officer,. Chief Warrant Officer Regimental Sergeant Major. Nothing wrong or demeaning with being a grunt and I appreciate and respect your service.

You were a lowly Master Corporal. In terms of rank, you were near the bottom. Corporal and Master Corporal are pretty well automatic promotional for any one in the Military. Don't hurt your arm patting yourself on the back. I retired a CWO. You do not have to believe it or like it. You have no idea what I did or how I earned my rank. It was not automatic. As far as my NDHQ tour, it was on major crown procurement projects for badly needed Military equipment. It is my history and I am OK with it. Denounce all you what, I know and did.

There is no support of any policy. Just bringing forth some facts. My Military service is as I said. You or anyone does not need to believe me nor do you have to support it . I do not brag about it nor would I have mentioned it but, I was asked so I answered. I have done nothing for you lately and fortunately did not have to do anything for you in the past.

Chuckle. So, the Conservatives are Liberals. Does that mean the Liberals are Conservatives? And the Dippers are Liberals so the Liberals must be Dippers too? You must have real difficulty when being critical LOL -

1. Tax grab for government revenue 2. The purpose of grossing up the dividend by 38 per cent is to approximate how much pretax profit the company would have had to earn 3. Because it is where you permanently live and the sale of such has never been considered an income investment. SALT was not eliminated, the federal part was lessened. -

I agree with most of what you say. I took offence at several things in his post: "the procurement system itself is broken beyond repair". He did not work within it and I did, I explained to you how it worked. It is not the "system" but it is primarily political interference. "Canada has died a cowards death " and "the military is as dead as every other aspect of this Banana Republic " is an insult to everyone in Uniform "defend yourself & your property, take care of your neighbors" sounds like suggesting vigilantism or extremism like in the US. "Canada will betray her most loyal patriots, Canada is filthy, disgusting, rotten " an extremely negative accusation upon Canada. Hence I asked when he was moving. None of which sounds to me like an person that unquestionably donned a Uniform for his Country. Sounds more like an extremest or, as I said bitter and twisted. I apologize for being pro Canada. I served my Country for love of Country, for better or worse. Sorry. -

Not that it matters but I retired from The Canadian Air Force as a Chief Warrant Officer at NDHQ after 35 years service. I served over 20 years operational flying for Search and Rescue, as I explained to Army Guy in another post.. I do not and will not identify myself on an internet forum. -

Do you have any idea what Bill 1 is? I think not because if you read it you would know how full of BS you are. https://www.alberta.ca/protecting-critical-infrastructure.aspx It is not a crime to protest and of course there is no violation of the Charter of Rights and Freedoms. that violations of the charter is thrown out only by people that have no idea what the charter is let alone what the Bill they are whining about is. What part of Bill 1 is against the charter and what part of the charter is being violated?? Not your suppositions or feelings or gut but what you think are actual sections and facts and portions being violated. You whiners are constantly asked that and have yet to form a logical, understandable response. All you can do and keep on doing is whine about your freedoms being violated yet you cannot provide details of exactly what. https://docs.assembly.ab.ca/LADDAR_files/docs/hansards/han/legislature_30/session_2/20200528_0900_01_han.pdf#page=9 Stop blowing smoke and prove your case. -
What a whiner. It is over and time for you to get over it too LOL BTW, the emergencies act was invoked after 3 weeks of the trucker occupation. The judge did not say they had the right to be there, the police removed the truckers. You're off target Dude. They froze about 200 bank accounts and those were of people that were identified as "leaders". Rightly so. I spent 35 years in the Military primarily in Search and Rescue squadrons all over the Country. So yes, I served Canadians. Your contribution to this Country consists of ??? I did enough "dirty work" to last several lifetimes. I (and my crew mates) saved many people and unfortunately, found and picked up the remains of many more. Dirty enough for you?? The Canadian Military, like all military in all the worlds country does what their government tells them to do. It is sad to hear that you think the tens of thousands Military people that serve this Country in uniform, that go to and do whatever the are called upon at any time are f'n jokes. I am more than glad to know that assholes like you are exceptionally rare. I worked under many PM's and can say, one is no better than another. Politicians are politicians and political parties are political parties.

Just being polite to you because you were so far off topic. It had nothing to do with Liberal, it was a Conservative government that passed the Bill. -

Yes they have and as the old adage says, you can never go wrong with real estate. Also, as I said, the consumers are in a big way responsible for the huge rise lately. They are making the prices rise by the desire to own a home. Bidding wars is the norm nowadays and all that does is drive the price up. I feel, if the mortgage rates go up, the housing will drop. I was one of those unfortunate people that had a mortgage at 17%. I lived in Edmonton at the time and I saw many homes being abandoned. -

Mike, the cost of a piece of property in a city/municipality in Canada varies and is different in each city. In Toronto a housing lot can be as little as $100K and the sky is the limit. Same goes for Vancouver. It is probably a lot less in Moosejaw Saskatchewan. Lumber prices alone went sky high last year (maybe the year before) so that had a huge impact on the price of a house or condo. Prices for building materials also went through the roof (we put off some renovations because of the super high quotes we got). Around where I live, there are construction, landscape, painting, drywall installers all looking for labourers alone offering $30+ per hour. Tradesmen are getting far more. My buddy in the concrete business said that concrete alone more than doubled in price and laborers are getting $40 to $60 per hour. Lastly, we are not talking about farmland. Having said that, the big debate in the GTA surrounding area they are building on former farmland. Lots of people upset at losing it but they are building anyway and those houses are close to a million (for townhomes, single family homes are more). Not sure where oyu are but, it is not a pretty picture in many places in Canada. -

Just answering, or trying to put in perspective your comment about housing keeping up with population increases. 2 things, 1. Housing costs are what they are because of material costs, labour and development charges. 2. Rental rates are also dependant on material costs for repairs, labour also for repairs and municipal taxes and charges. All those things have gone up substantially and those costs are passed on to the consumer hence, the cost of housing is up. Competition in the market normally drives prices down except in housing because completion means more buyers than seller therefore the buyers are driving the price of houses. Trying to find someone else to blame for high housing costs is nonsensical because it is obvious, we are doing it to ourselves.
