  1. You may believe they were bogus charges. And they may get thrown out when the trial happens . What is not realistic is that Trudeau has anything to do with her being charged. She was arrested for beaching existing laws and bylaws. I know of no one that was charged with any "bogus covid restriction mandate" laws. I did not even know there were any covid mandate laws? What would those be? And what would those charges be? I do not know or care about anything American. We are neither in the US or have anything to do with their laws.
  2. Dude, I only asked you "And what about monkey pox? Do you have some sort of theories about it? I am eager to hear". I asked you about your monkey pox comment. You brought it up No, I don't know where covid came from, no one seems to know or do you know? (other than some conspiracy theory).
  3. I know you hate Trudeau, I am also not a fan but, your implication that Trudeau "incorporated American style justice" then I question your reality and intelligence. As an intelligent person you must surely be aware that the justice system cannot be changed in any way without majority parliament and senate approval after much debate and censure. Insinuating I have low IQ and I voted Trudeau is symptomatic of a person that does not wish to have a civil debate. Don't like what others say so therefore they are low IQ. FYI, I am a westerner and have never voted liberal but that is aside, what is important is the no PM can change any laws at a whim. Like it or not, our legal system prevents that.
  4. And the PPC is considered fringe and may remain so because he is considered extreme by too many conservatives.
  5. Yup, bankrupt to prevent getting their asses sued LOL Still able to give millions to their selected candidates this year though.
  6. And what about monkey pox? Do you have some sort of theories about it? I am eager to hear Yup and you are thinking those things LOL
  7. Just giving you information to counter your claim we have " Restrictions that no other country in the world has? " Nice try at deflection though LOL And really, I could not care less about intentional unvaccinated Canadians (noting that some unvaccinated have medical reasons and are recognized and accepted)
  8. For you.... again, just in case you missed it on my last retort to you. Just to help you get informed. Here is a list of countries with and without restrictions and there are many that do. Spain just reinstated some. https://www.bloomberg.com/news/storythreads/2022-03-18/where-can-you-travel-with-no-covid-restrictions-list-of-top-2022-destinations
  9. Like what?? Another rectal pluck. LOL Here is a list of countries with and without restrictions and there are many that do. Spain just reinstated some. https://www.bloomberg.com/news/storythreads/2022-03-18/where-can-you-travel-with-no-covid-restrictions-list-of-top-2022-destinations
  10. It is exactly "conspiracy theories" that abound and are perpetuated by a few. You are aware that there are no mask mandates anymore in everything except close quarters aircraft.? And are you actually quoting the hated American mass media??? LOL I guess if it fits your narrative it's OK LOL
  11. Look, it was a civil post. Not arguing with you. I know you have very negative spins on almost everything. Just expressing my opinion that Canada is far from singular when dealing with a worldwide pandemic. As for Trudeau "also abused the legal system" you are either really ignorant of the legal system or just being obstinate. Unless Trudeau passes laws to change the legal system at which point it would be the majority of parliament and senate that agrees or, the legal system does what it does for everybody, equally.
  12. It's like playing the first 2 periods in May and the third period in September. Does anyone care anymore?? And, the final score is all that counts.
  13. Your opinion and my opinion. A world wide health pandemic has changed the political complexion of every country in the world. I am truly hoping that you are wise enough to realize Canada is not a solitary nation in this pandemic. All countries had one level of precaution or another. Some more so than others but no country was without action. Each country had to make judgment based upon their population and level of health care. Did some do more? For sure. Did some do less? For sure. Were some populations pissed off with the actions? For sure. Were some populations happy with the actions? For sure. Which one was right? Point is that be it liberal, conservative, communist, Marxist or dictatorship, they all did something that they felt was best for their own country and population. it is hopefully done. Beating a dead virus is now meaningless. As for being a threat to a country, I suspect that other than communist and dictatorships, all leaders are or have pissed off the population in the past few years. Seems a minuscule population group on this forum cannot move on.
  14. Thing is, Canada does a flip flop constantly. Mulroney and his conservatism for a number of years then Chretien and his liberalism for a number of years then we get Harpers brand of conservationism and punt him out to get Trudeau and his liberalism. From one end of the political spectrum to the other on a regular basis. In the meantime, a portion of the population is always pissed off. Oh and we also have the fringe NDP, Green, PPC sand whatever other group is out there and their vocal followers that wants recognition. It seems that the party in power, whomever that is, self destructs in a dozen or so years. Unfortunately, the conservatives have been committing political suicide for the past dozen years and seem to still be doing it. The Liberals are unpopular and unwanted but, the competition keeps shooting itself in the mouth. Maybe a term limit should be enacted to force parties to be fresh?
  15. This is May. Debates are all over. Isn't the leadership vote in September? A lot of crap can happen between now and then. This leadership stuff is not even worth talking about now. So much will change between now and then we should archive this thread and bring it back up end of August. This marathon of a leadership race will just make people tired of the conservatives. Will just help Justin LOL
  16. Politics is politics. It has always been a clown show. Mulroney was no better, neither was Chretien or Harper. The only real difference between them and now is the advent of social media. There were always political differences and people that disagreed with government just now, it is instant and easy to be anonymous and bash away. You used to complain and whine to your close circle of friends and neighbours but now anybody can be smarter then the next person and can gather many of their ilk to stroke each other.
  17. Never. I said if she were to broach or break her bail conditions she would be violating them and would suffer the consequences. Cut the whining Dude. She still has to face the charges. She may get off but, she will always have that hanging over her head. May even affect her out of country abilities depending how the country she wants to visit looks upon her charges.
  18. The judge decided she would not jeopardize her bail restrictions. Period. Don't spin this into something it is not. And it is not something LOL Get together with your boyfriends (and Godess too) and stroke yourselves silly
  19. Oh stop. If anything it is the republicans that are far more gun ownership crazy. The gun lobby is a very powerful lobby in the US and they can make or break a politician, regardless of party. " Since 1998, gun rights groups have spent $190 million on lobbying, with 60% of that total being spent in the past nine years. Gun control advocates have spent just $30 million since 1998. Beyond lobbying, gun control groups have contributed $50.5 million to federal candidates and party committees between 1989 and 2022, with the vast majority going to Republicans. They spent especially heavily in the 2020 election, with $16.6 million in outside spending. For 2022, they’ve already contributed $4.4 million, says OpenSecrets, based on its analysis of Federal Election Commission data." https://fortune.com/2022/05/25/nra-contributions-politicians-lobbying-gun-rights-groups-record-2021-ted-cruz/
  20. Once again, she was not charged under anything other than existing Ontario and Ottawa laws. She had bail conditions and had to respect them but, the judge said she was no in contravention of them so, bail was not revoked,. Accept small victiories
  21. Yes, that is what the story is about Captain Obvious LOL. Quit with the Trudeau shit already. He has nothing to do with the Ontario justice system . It is provincial. She is in shit for breaking existing Ontario and Ottawa City laws. Oh and Taxme and West, get a room for gawds sake, you guys drooling over each other gets old, pull in WesCanMan when you need little more variety
  22. Hell no, she is far from a bad person. She is a committed to a cause person. She is though, a dumb person. A court order is a court order. Break it and suffer the wrath of the court. She got lucky and should be grateful for that.
  23. Archie Bunker mentality. Political longevity more important than children's lives I guess.
  24. I am not sure what you think I don't understand? I think, if 2015 is your "change everythign date" that the entire North American political scene changed. We, in Canada, became more American in our political activities and attitudes. We, in Canada, became as adversarial and accusatory as Americans as opposed to our "civilized" previous selves. We certainly had our extremist MP's just as the US had their far left/right congressmen. We had Trudeau Sr for a long time, then Mulroney for a long time, then Chretien for a long time, then Harper for a long time, and now Trudeau for a long time. I think if someone is in power for a long time it creates problems more than it solves. It becomes one persons realm instead of for the people. Look at cities with long time mayors or provincial government with long serving premiers. Same for Prime Ministers. They forget what they are there for and concentrate on staying in power. Maybe of we were forced to change we would look at things differently? Maybe a limit on terms is an option?
