  1. Yes, a year after the replanting the whole forest is growing back?
  2. I agree withe eyeball. Just because it does not agree with your philosophy does not make everything bad. Do not complain, brethren, against one another, so that you yourselves may not be judged; behold, the Judge is standing right at the door. James 5:9
  3. I challenge you to provide evidence of your accusation/theory.
  4. As it is written now " More than 70% of health care spending is publicly funded through general tax revenues. The provinces and territories generate 78% of the cost, with the federal government providing the rest through the Canada Health Transfer (CHT). This split has been the subject of debate since Medicare was first established. At that time, the federal share was about 35%. In the late 1970s, it dropped to 25%. Today, the Canada Health Transfer stands at about 22%" https://www.cma.ca/news/health-care-funding-canada Also, a little health care spending history: https://theconversation.com/the-disingenuous-demands-of-canadas-premiers-for-28-billion-in-health-care-funding-157024 Any yes, I agree funding should increase but, as I have often related, the government cannot give to one something it does not first take from someone or somewhere else.
  5. You think and dream impurity. Not me. You are incorrect, I thought about it and your take on it and determined you are paranoid and think there is a crook around every corner and no one is trustworthy and no one takes this country seriously and does what is best for it. No you have not looked at this, you have only imagined perils and deceit and corruption. Amazing how the business of government has lasted so long and done so well without your insight LOL
  6. Never said that. Just said "looking at your posts regarding this topic, the one overthinking and inventing boogeymen lobbyists is you. " Everyone finds fault and dislikes things they disagree with or do not understand (mostly the case). Look at the other threads by anti vaxxers LOL
  7. To be honest and looking at your posts regarding this topic, the one overthinking and inventing boogeymen lobbyists is you.
  8. Once again with an anonymous unknown location photo. The thing with your choice of photos is that that is a logged forest and after re-planting, it looks completely different. It takes less than a year to see the difference and to see the new growth.
  9. Of course a percentage is not a fixed amount of dollars. I described that a number of posts ago. Bottom line, the feds are willing to increase the percentage, if all provinces will apply the conditions suggested.
  10. And on and on and on....
  11. Last time I can reiterate this. The feds have said they will increase but, they have conditions that all provinces must sign up to.
  12. Look, make up what you want. I provided the answer to your question. "In 2020-21, the Canada Health Transfer share was $45.9 billion, or 22 per cent of health spending. " The feds said they can increase it but under conditions and now they feds wait for the Provinces. You can what if it to death.
  13. "In 2020-21, the Canada Health Transfer share was $45.9 billion, or 22 per cent of health spending. "
  14. If you know that then you know why you cannot see everything. Freedom of information does not mean you get to see everything. I have seen documents completely redacted. Nothing but black lines LOL Just saying to you, your principals are just that, your principals. reality is quite different. The Magna Carta is more than just a reference to the power of the King. Not confused at all, seen it and read it.
  15. I am not demonstrating anything, I just am aware that regardless who you think you are, you have no entitlement to see and hear everything that goes on in government, in business and even in your own family. As for the Magna Carta, I suspect most people have no idea what it is let alone know what is in it.
  16. Whatever makes you think you should or deserve to see anything, let alone everything. As with anything and everything, you get to see what the people or persons want you to see. Even your Wife (or significant other or friends or people you work with) does not tell you or let you see everything. As for "the mythological Magna Carta. ", there is nothing mythological about it, it is a real document. I think you should actually read what it says. I have, at Salisbury Cathedral. It is not what you seem to imagine it is. https://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2015/04/20/the-rule-of-history
  17. Then get the other provinces to fall in line LOL The feds make a deal with all provinces... not individual ones. Can you imagine the shit storm if one gets one thing and another gets something different??? (Quebec notwithstanding) LOL Anyway, what it boils down to is how each province spends the 22%. Some are more efficient.
  18. "when provinces and territories have taken the steps necessary to eliminate extra-billing and user charges in the delivery of public health care." No chicken, no egg. Do as is asked and you shall be rewarded. "The premiers are misleading Canadians about the degree of Ottawa’s underfunding. Even worse, their demands for a strings-free spending spree, if successful, could end up slowing down desperately needed reform of Canada’s overly expensive, underperforming health care system." https://www.theglobeandmail.com/opinion/editorials/article-provinces-want-a-blank-cheque-for-health-care-ottawa-should-say-no/
  19. Being facetious is only demonstrating pointlessness. You get to see what you need to see, no more, no less.
  20. You forgot to quote the rest, which is what the government is asking the Provinces to do before they would consider an increase : CHT funds have at times been withheld for violations of the CHA in relation to extra billing and user charges. Health Canada produces an Annual Report on the extent to which provincial and territorial health care insurance plans have satisfied the criteria and the conditions for payment under the Act. In Budget 2018, the government announced legislative amendments to allow CHT deductions to be reimbursed when provinces and territories have taken the steps necessary to eliminate extra-billing and user charges in the delivery of public health care. This was done to encourage provinces and territories to take corrective action to align their public health care systems with the principles of the CHA, as well as to recognize those that have addressed issues of non-compliance."

  22. While this can debated in many ways, Government is an institution. Government is the rules we live under. Politicians run nothing, they make rules, regulations and laws and the institution enacts them. Politicians make rules and laws and they also retract rules and laws depending on the politics of the time. The institution of government is to ensure the country runs under those rules and laws.
  23. The very uppermost echelon of government really has no idea of what is needed, how it is done and only the outcome. And even the outcome is not known to them unless there is some kind of questioning. The government is a machine that is regulated and works under rules and regulations that all previous governments have set. As one procurement officer once said to me, they do not care what they are buying, toilet paper to airplanes, the process is in place and is followed the same. If you want to know how it is done, get the Supply manual here https://buyandsell.gc.ca/policy-and-guidelines/Supply-Manual If you really want to know the process and to see actually how transparent it is find out here. https://buyandsell.gc.ca/policy-and-guidelines/supply-manual/section/1/10 The thing is though, you do not want to know and will not take the time to find out the actual way things have to be done because then many of you would not have anything to complain about.
  24. The only thing out of control is your post LOL "Canada's greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions currently represent about 1.6 percent of the global total."
