  1. The comment was about GDP difference between Toronto and Alberta. Toronto would lose nothing. Alberta would lose a lot though.
  2. I was trying to tell you the the discussion was about GDP. "The Greater Toronto Area (GTA) has a population exceeding 7.1 million people as of 2024-2025, accounting for roughly 18% of Canada's total population."...the entire province of Alberta population is only 5,040,871 You can bring lots into the conversation.... but off topic.
  3. I think the issue and point was Alberta GDP vs Toronto GDP??? Equalization payments are as important to the discussion as Ontario population 16,191,372 VS Alberta population 5,040,871...so what??
  4. I am in Ottawa and parking in the hospital is also very high and there is only street parking around it and the bylaw guys make the city lots of money by handing out tickets As for potholes and tire damage..again in Ottawa, there are hundreds per year. Last year "over 400 total pothole-related damage claims in just the first half of 2025."
  5. Hmmm, parking in any hospital in Canada is outrageous. Potholed roads are just a way of life, especially in Ontario I visit Vancouver area frequently...it takes forever to get anywhere and hopefully you don't need to get into the city in the morning or out of it in the afternoon LOL Oh and I am not a fan of the GTA
  6. Wellllll, maybe not so much...much of the land the money comes from belongs to the indigenous and they are very much against separation. "Oil sands development in Alberta significantly impacts Indigenous lands, particularly within the Athabasca, Cold Lake, and Peace River regions, which fall under Treaty 8 territory. While major energy companies (such as Imperial Oil, Suncor, and Cenovus) operate on these lands—sometimes in partnership with local communities—these projects have resulted in, and continue to cause, substantial environmental, health, and cultural challenges for First Nations and Métis communities" "The entire province is covered by 3 treaty areas (Treaties 6, 7, and 8)," "Almost all of Alberta is covered by traditional, unceded, or treaty territory" "The three largest reserves in Canada are located in Alberta (Treaty 7), including the Blood No. 148, Siksika No. 146, and Piikani."
  7. PP on crypto... "Pierre Poilievre, during his 2022 Conservative leadership campaign, became a prominent proponent of cryptocurrency, specifically Bitcoin, framing it as a tool for financial freedom and a hedge against inflation caused by government monetary policy . While his, and the broader crypto market's, enthusiasm waned during the 2022 "crypto winter," his stated goal was to make Canada the "blockchain capital of the world". Here are key quotes and themes from Pierre Poilievre regarding cryptocurrency: On "Opting Out" of Inflation Poilievre suggested that cryptocurrency could provide Canadians with better financial products and allow them to "opt-out of inflation" by using cryptocurrencies, stating that it's time for Canadians to "take back control of their money". He argued that government actions were devaluing the Canadian dollar, making it desirable for Canadians to have the freedom to use alternative currencies like Bitcoin. On Regulation and "Freedom" Poilievre advocated for less government and banker control over finances and more financial freedom for individuals, including the freedom to use crypto assets. He stated he did not want Canada to ban Bitcoin and other technologies like "communist China". His campaign pledged to make crypto rules clear, simplify tax treatment, and apply the principle of treating crypto assets the same as their traditional economy equivalents. On "Decentralizing" the Economy Poilievre expressed a desire to foster a "new, decentralized, bottom-up economy" through a more permissive regulatory environment for crypto. He has indicated an interest in learning about Bitcoin and other monetary issues." While the truckers convoy started out as a protest...after the originally planned weekend protest and into the next week and weeks after that became a blockade. On vaccinations..it was and is always your choice to get vaccinated. During COVID...it was a matter of not spreading it and the government and many businesses chose to make it a requirement to prevent spreading COVID to unvaccinated people. You had a choice, help protect your co workers or not.
  8. Duhh, I responded to your post on page 8...."He doesn't need any more. Why are you afraid of Poilievre? I mean you think about him night and day, he obviously scares the bejesus out of you, if he's so bad why aren't you happy? " So, it was you that went off the rails again LOL And I said..."How sad if that is all you got to add to this discussion of the mass shooting in Tumbler Ridge." and the rest of the sentence which you left out "keep on going off topic...even if it is your own HA HA HA" So, once again... you try to misdirect and do not take responsibility for what you say.
  9. "Toronto is Canada's premier economic hub, producing a diverse mix of goods and services including financial services, advanced technology, film/television, and manufactured goods like food products, pharmaceuticals, and automotive parts. It is a global hub for tech, AI, and green energy, while supporting a massive film industry and serving as a major North American financial cente"
  10. Holy phk...you sound like legoman.... no longer able to be original LOL LOL LOL
  11. To everybody... most important they lost a lot since last poll. Sound like you are not in favour of an election? Sounds like you are assuming Carney will get a majority? Are you breaking away from your right wing buddies??
  12. Quote from Abacus "This is remarkable! If you've followed political polling in Canada, you'll know that Abacus is the one firm that consistently shows the highest public favourability of the Conservatives, who have been neck-and-neck with the Liberals since the election in their polls. Not anymore! Poilievre' is a downwards drag on his party's popularity- for which we thank him for!"
  13. Treebeard is right... "The Greater Toronto Area (GTA) is Canada's economic engine, with a GDP estimated around CA$522 billion (2022) to over $430 billion for the city proper (2020), representing approximately 20% of Canada's total GDP" " Alberta's economy is showing strong growth, with nominal GDP projected to have risen by 4.8% to 5.3% in 2024, following a robust performance in 2023 . GDP at basic prices reached approximately $352.1B in 2024"
  14. How sad if that is all you got to add to this discussion of the mass shooting in Tumbler Ridge.. keep on going off topic...even if it is your own HA HA HA PP does not scare me at all, as a matter of fact the only thing scary about PP is his groupies Why are you so afraid to Carney?? He is doing something not just complaining LOL. Oh yeah, doing something scares you because PP is doing nothing LOL
  15. And, I see your side's "opinions" all the time too LOL Throwing stones in your glass house is foolish LOL
  16. You people, are so good at second guessing and making judgment without knowing the true facts or situations. Supposition seems to be your way LOL
  17. Figures....that is how you stay on top of things....make up your mind without know what is going on LOL Want to say you are typical of conservatives but I was one for so long , it would be untrue. Problem is some, like you, have become trumpian in your politics
  18. I have an anecdote too. My nephew was at a bar and got into a pi$$ing contest with someone and said "well ya, I have guns at my Dads house". He was reported and the cops came to my brothers house and impounded the guns. He got the guns back...just like the story you told. Point was and is...to be able to take the guns, an event had to happen and they took action. What reason did the cops have to keep the guns if the mother proved there was no problem??
  19. Yes,lets be honest here...the link is to an opinion post from a Calgary newspaper. You can say what you want but it is not us "fanatical Liberal supporters" that wrote it LOL
  20. The reason is in your comment...the police were called. He lost his PAL and guns because, not him, but his girlfriend who was also in the house....hence the possibility of a problem...so they removed the potential problem...not the girlfriend
  21. Spring election? Alberta wins but Poilievre will be finished https://ca.news.yahoo.com/opinion-spring-election-alberta-wins-130041530.html
  22. Is that all ya got?? LOL LOL LOL Why are you so far up his butt?? You must be a paid shill HA HA HA Poliveres version of Karoline Leavitt 🤣
  23. Yup it sure is but the constant petulant whining , complaining and combative behaviour, let alone the sloganizing and uncooperativeness make him lose all credibility. That is why he keeps losing and declining in the polls. While the conservative party is close, his personality and demeaner makes him a distant second to be Prime Minister and the conservatives will lose because of him. I was not a liberal in the past and do not remember Ignatief or Dion being so dramatic. Neither do I remember opposition leaders like Harper, Mulcair, Ambrose, Scheer or even O'Toole being as abrasive and accusatory. Polievere has taken opposition to a new level...well maybe not new as Trump has been that way and it feels like Polievere is emulating Trump in his demeanour. My opinion. I apologize for going off topic but...I was asked.
  24. Constant whining, complaining and combative behaviour is not normal and very abnormal.
  25. Questions have come up as to where ICE has been getting all the personnel. Some have said that they are people that have failed at becoming police. Others say they are Proud Boys or from other groups like that. Basically saying that they are not formally and completely trained personnel.
