  1. So few of them in 1971! The good old days! Hopefully we can Make Canada Great Again!
  2. The thing is, many people in the Middle East and Africa see the so-called "collateral damage" from military actions as terrorism. Thousands of innocent people have been killed by Western countries. Whether bombs dropping on weddings or hospitals, to trigger happy, raping mercenaries, contracted out by the U.S. government. Or the disgusting behaviour at Abu Ghraib and numerous other unreported actions by Westerners.
  3. That's an extreme description of what happens to a woman in Cairo, especially if she is wearing a burka. However, let`s play your simplistic, superficial game; My answer to that is, put that woman in most other Muslim countries and she would be okay. Put her in Iran, Turkey, Iraq, Indonesia, Malaysia, Syria (before the bombings started) and many other Muslim countries and she will be fine. This goes to show that you are seriously lacking in judgement and comprehension of how things work if you blame a religion and everyone who follow it on the acts of some individuals.
  4. Your lack of attention to what people say on here and their position has already been stated by several people who you have tried communicating with. Your post above is another example of one of your biggest shortcomings. First of all, I'm not Christian. Second, I don't have any negative views of "Jews". In fact, I have a lot of positive feelings towards people who happen to be Jewish. On the topic of human rights and the Middle East alone, some of the leading activists are Jewish. If we are talking about ideologies, then I do have issues with many ideologies. Everything from Wahabists/Salafism, to Zionism. Any time an ideology and its followers want to trample over another person's rights in order to further their own agenda, then I speak out against it. I don't care if they're Muslim, Christian, Jewish, Atheist, Buddhist or anything else.
  5. Again, that's based on the opinion that Canada will magically change into something totally different. We have had Muslims living in Canada for a long time. We have over 1 million Muslims now and they have not had any negative influence on our society. Muslims are working in our hospitals, schools, banks, governments, etc. All this fear is amusing. History does repeat itself. Scared white Canadians did the same thing when there were boats coming from India, China, Vietnam, Kosovo, Ukraine and etc. Even when the Irish and Italians started migrating here, there was a lot of crying from scared people that the immigrants would bring in their less sophisticated culture and ruin Canada.
  6. I think the difference between you and I is that when I think Muslims, I don't see this: When I think Muslim, I just see another person. My image of Muslims comes from my experience with them and the travels I have done. Many people who are Islamophobes, tend equate Muslims to the extreme caricatures that are out there. Like the small group of extremists who are in London and who protest with signs saying: "Islam will dominate" or "Submit to Islam". I see those guys as nothing other than a yapping minority, who are using freedom of speech to be stupid. Kind of like the extremist Christian group, Westboro Baptist Church who love to freely express their stupidity. I'm glad no one sees Christians the same way.
  7. The plan continues as is. Let it be. We have over a million Muslims in Canada. That's out of 36 million people. Nothing has happened to Canada and Canadians because we have Muslims here. Why are you so afraid?
  8. That's your perspective. I don't think it will and many others agree as well. We have over 1 million Muslims living in Canada. They've mostly come through the regular immigration process or refugee programs. Is there a push for Canada to start adopting the Islamic values that you are so afraid of?
  9. Please show proof that having sex with children is allowed in Muslim States.
  10. That was a response to my response to Hal. My comment to your post is above that.
  11. I don't normally go into Richmond that often, but when I do, I make it a point to drop into a Chinese restaurant with good reviews on Yelp. Even though there are more asians in the restaurant, my family and I feel welcomed. We ask questions and try to learn about the list of food on the menu. I see people speaking Chinese, but the kids are speaking English to each other and responding to their parents in English. My family and I feel okay with this change. We don't feel threatened.
  12. I was in Northern Europe 2 years ago. We traveled through Sweden, Norway and Finland. The type of hysteria of what that place has become is just that; hysteria. The typical lazy news outlets repeat things that are not true. Those countries are still beautiful, progressive and perhaps a tad bit less 'white' than they were 15 years ago, when I was last there in my early 20's. Germany is another story but Canada is NOT allowing in too many refugees. 10,000? 25,000? That's nothing. That's a drop in the bucket. We have been averaging thousands of refugees a year for the past 50 years. This, despite the major slow down during the Harper decade. We're still doing okay. People are hysterical over nothing. I think your perspective and view of change is wrong. We are always changing as a culture. You cannot stop time. We have gone through numerous waves of immigration from different parts of the world and we have survived it. Indians in the early 1900's. A big wave of Irish and Italians, thereafter. European Jews in the 20's, 30's and 40's. Hungarians, Chinese, Vietnamese, Middle Easterns, Eastern Europeans, etc. etc... There has usually been a big uproar, to a different degree, whenever a new wave came to Canada. These, mostly Arab refugees are no different. The Islamophobia movement has created an unnecessary uproar. 25,000 people is nothing compared to some other bigger waves. Like the over 60,000 Vietnamese we brought in in 79 and 80. Their culture was much different than ours and we're doing okay. Nothing has stayed the same during Canada's history. The only constant is change. Our culture is constantly changing and being influenced by different cultures, moral values, technology and everything else in our environment. We all influence each other. You can argue that some changes are bad but usually, many changes are for the best. As a woman, you have never been in a better position in our history. You would be surprised how much of a positive effect you can have by welcoming people, instead of being suspicious of them. They are here to make a better life for their families, especially their children. When we approach them with open arms, there is less chance of them isolating themselves in their own groups. Nothing will be perfect, but we should always strive to treat others as we would want to be treated.
  13. What a non-answer. But that's typical of your approach, when you've been caught in one of your double standards. By the way, no law trumps Canadian law in Canada. It doesn't matter how much you want to promote the fear of it. We have over 1 million Muslims in Canada and Sharia law or Muslim men wanting to marry underaged girls has never been an issue.
  14. You have made direct bigoted comments towards Muslims in the past, so at least you're changing your tone a bit and reducing the generalizing. That's a good thing. However, the generalizing is still there. You are trying to tell us that the people who are coming here can't control themselves and don't care about the laws of the host country. Many Muslims in the Western countries, who you are giving a pass to now, were once refugees, so your fear of being attacked by them contradicts what you are trying to say. A life lesson: Judge people on their individual behaviour and not generalizations. Overall, I am confident in our law and justice system will protect us from criminals. Whether it's a fondling Muslim from Morocco or a white pedophile.
  15. In those countries, they're allowed to under their law. In the Western countries, the minimum age for marriage is different. The highest percentages of marriage by 15 are in africa and many are either majority Christian or at least half Christian. Countries like Iran and Iraq who are both majority Muslim are under 5%. This only goes to show that it's not about religion but cultural norms. But you're confusing the situation with men who seek out little kids, usually under 10 year olds for sexual gratification. This is of course, against the law. My question to you is: Should white men be feared for being pedophiles because there are sex tours in Southeast Asia where you see white men going to? Because there is a high percentage of white men in prisons for pedophilia? Because white man is likely to be a pedophile in the U.S. compared to other racial backgrounds? Let's add to that; What about the epidemic of school shootings in the U.S. Why are they almost always white boys? What is the solution to the problem we have with white men and white boys who are usually the ones committing pedophilia in North America and shooting up schools?
  16. Why are you apologizing for the white pedophile epidemic? It's a serious issue and white men need to first accept that it's a problem, then figure out how to resolve the issue within their own community. How about serial killers? Why are they usually white people? What about school shooters? White boys? What's going on with white people? Time to watch the ones that are already here carefully and not let in any more white people into our countries until we can figure out what's going on.
  17. You mean you don't see the news of child sex tours by white men from Western countries? I see it often. But let's talk about statistics: While nearly 70% of those serving time for violent crimes against children were white, whites accounted for 40% of those imprisoned for violent crimes against adults. -BJS Survey of State Prison Inmates, 1991. Pedophile and Child Molester Statistics - Yello Dyno Pedophiles, school shooters and serial killers are usually white males. Why is that? Is it something in their religion? Their genes? Culture? Should we suspect all white males to be potential pedophiles, school shooters and/or serial killers?
  18. Just because I constantly see news about white pedophiles, committing crimes against children, and since majority of them are white men, I don't get all panicky when my children are around other white men and I don't cry about allowing white males into the country.
  19. Over 600 photos/videos were taken by these guys, so it is suspicious. I don't see any problems with making it public. However, this, what I believe is a legitimate reason to be on alert, is no excuse for thinking that Muslims will bring in terrorism and rape into Canada. It's no excuse for people to start crying: "SEE! THEY'RE HERE TO KILL US ALL!" As it has already been eloquently communicated: And:
  20. I agree there are cultural issues, but notice how in Sweden, some other Muslim countries were not on the list. Notice how Bulgaria and Romania. Also, Pakistan does not represent Islam or Muslims. This goes back to the biggest issue with how you have been approaching this topic, which is to blame a religion and anyone else who seems themselves as Muslim for the acts that are prevalent in specific cultures.
  21. Allow me to spend a few minutes to rip your terrible argument into pieces: Your source is an opinion article on Infowars. The link on Infowars, with the supposed Denmark statistics goes to a web site that does not display any of those figures. It's just a list of opinion pieces. Let me know if you find these statistics, directly from the Danish government. The bible web site has no statistics. Just opinions that were not backed up by any stats. This is what you want to pass as your sources? The reason why rapes in Sweden jumped, is not because of immigration. It's because the definition of rape in Sweden changed. Many rapes occur between partners. So for example, in Canada, when a woman goes to the police to report rape by her partner repeatedly, this is counted as 1 occurrence. When a woman in Sweden reports this, they count each individual rape occurrence by the partner as a separate rape. This is just one of the reasons why rapes in Sweden suddenly went up: The way the crime itself is defined and various related aspects of the judicial process affect the registration of offences in the official statistics. The concept of rape can be defined narrowly or in a more expansive manner. In Sweden, the definition of rape has been successively widened over the years, leading to an ever larger number of sexual assaults being classified as rape. For example, in 1992 a legislative change came into force which shifted the dividing line between sexual assault and rape. This legislative change resulted in about a 25% increase in the level of registered rape offences. Changes in the legal process has also affected the number of reports. Until 1984, rape was only prosecuted in cases where the victim was prepared to press charges, with an additional restriction of a six months time limit. This resulted in numerous cases of rape and sexual assault going unreported. Widely differing legal systems, offence definitions, terminological variations, recording practices and statistical conventions makes any cross-national comparison on rape statistics difficult. Large-scale victimisation surveys have been presented as a more reliable indicator Link This is why there is a spike of rapes in Sweden. Leave it up to Rue and his sources like frontpagemag or infowar opinion pieces to try to twist and push for more Islamophobia. This was terrible see. I was traveling in England when the news came out. So should all Pakistani Muslims be seen as child rapists because of this group of degenerate assholes? Should all whites and Christians be seen as pedophile rapists? Because of this: Countrywide gang of paedophiles 'roamed UK to rape babies and pre-school children as their friends watched on the Internet' Here are some of the main baby rapers' names: Stansfield, 34, from Hampshire, was found guilty of conspiracy to rape a child under 13. Denham was cleared of the same charge. Five others pleaded guilty to offences including rape of a child and conspiracy to rape at an earlier hearing. They are: Robin Hollyson, 30, from Bedfordshire Christopher Knight, 35, from Manchester David Harsley, 51, from Hull Matthew Lisk, 32, from East Sussex Adam Toms, 33, from Somerset A bunch of white guys. What does this say about white Christians? What about this news: Seven men have admitted their part in one of the world's biggest internet pornography networks. They were among 107 arrested after police in 12 countries smashed the child pornography ring known as the Wonderland Club. Names? Ahmed Ali, 30, a taxi driver from Tulse Hill, south London Ian Baldock, 31, a computer consultant from St Leonards, East Sussex Andrew Barlow, 25, unemployed, of Bletchley in Milton Keynes Gavin Seagers, 29, a computer consultant from Dartford, Kent Antoni Skinner, 36, a computer consultant from Cheltenham Frederick Stephens, 46, a taxi driver from Hayes, Middlesex David Hines, 30, unemployed, from Bognor Regis in West Sussex Steven Ellis, 40, unemployed, from Norwich 7 out of 8 of the guys are white with Christian background. What does this say about white people and Christians? Nothing. Absolutely nothing.
  22. You tell us, since you're the expert on Muslims. If I didn't know any better, I would think you are Muslim with your great insights into their culture.
  23. When was the last time you went on a child sex tour? This question goes to all of us white men out there. And I ask, simply because: The white male gaze that drives child sex tourism
  24. I'm not sure why the information that myself and some others here are sharing is not penetrating into your train of thoughts. I'm not sure if it's me and I'm not explaining it clearly or if it's a problem with you not being able to grasp the big problem with your approach and view of the situation. You are generalizing in a very big way. Nothing has been proven about the identity and the number of people, but for the sake of argument, let`s say that there were a few hundred people from North Africa, who are Muslim and who made the decision to go on a groping spree during New Year's in Germany. How are these hundreds of people representatives of billions of Muslims in the world? How about the millions of Muslims in Germany? How are these North Africans representatives of Turks? How are they representatives of Iranians? How are they representative of Indonesians? How are they even representatives of millions of North Africans? It's like saying all Catholics are child rapists, because there is a percentage of priests who engage in raping children. Or it's like saying all white people are racist trash, because we have Donald Trump and his supporters.
  25. These are shitty people. Are they shitty people because they are Muslim or because of their cultural upbringing? I mean, what about Turks? Iranians? Both of those predominantly Muslim people have a huge population in Germany. Do the groping shitty people from North Africa represent all Muslims? Do they even represent all North Africans? This is the issue with your generalizations.
