It looks like this plan is failing badly and now comic-boy is begging NATO/USA for long range weapons. Of course, neither will give such weapons to comic-boy so...it looks like his gambit will fail and the Ukraine military will lose a lot of soldiers. I think the bottom line is, NATO/USA are simply not interested in a direct war with Russia. Oh they're happy to let Russia fight and lose soldiers in Ukraine but...it's also apparent that all the sanctions and this war have only strengthened Russia. Meh...perhaps now would be a good time for a peace deal?
