Education is a provincial responsibility but I agree that depending on the province, teaching the Holocaust has not been the priority is should. In BC teaching the Holocaust has been optional up until last month, now it will be compulsory. I knew survivors in my youth, my grade 9 French teacher was a concentration camp survivor with the tattoo and a wonky eye from a guard hitting him with a club. I would love to pick his brain now but then I was too young and dumb.

I see Trudeau as a smug dilettante prone to poor judgement,  but not a racist.

    https://www.foxnews.com/media/cbc-leaked-emails-tell-reporters-not-use-terrorist-hamas-coverage-opinion-not-fact

    LIAR!

Hamas is officially declared and recognized as a terrorist group!

    Hamas

Date added to the list: Nov. 27, 2002

Hamas, which stands for Harakat Al-Muqawama Al-Islamiya, is an “Islamist-nationalist terrorist organization” with the goal of establishing an Islamic Palestinian state in Israel. The organization is responsible for “several hundred terrorist attacks” since 1990, according to Public Safety Canada.

Canada, the European Union and the United States classify Hamas as a terrorist group, while Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom only consider the group’s militant wing as a terrorist group.

I think that is the correct thing to do when reporting factual information. Labels should be saved for opinion pieces. CBC has repeatedly reported that Hamas and ISIS have been designated terrorist organizations by Canada and most other western countries. That is factual, not opinion.

  11. This is why they needed and wanted Brexit.

"The UN Refugee Agency has rebuked UK Home Secretary Suella Braverman over her claims that world leaders have failed to reform the global refugee system due to fears of being branded as “racist or illiberal” and that the asylum framework is creating “huge incentives for illegal migration.”

The UN statement followed the UK home secretary’s speech at the conservative American Enterprise Institute in Washington on Tuesday, in which she refused to rule out leaving the international convention and questioned whether it was “fit for our modern age” amid what she claimed was a crisis of illegal immigration for the West."

And we in Canada are doing the same thing, bringing in too many people without the resources such as housing, jobs and healthcare to support them. Some are living on the streets in Canada, creating a new ghetto and forcing them to turn to crime to support their needs.

Canadians, wake up to the reality they are facing in the UK.

EU residents came to the UK to live and work, not go on the dole. Do you think no other EU countries have social safety nets? Now that they are gone, there aren't enough Brits to do the jobs they didn't want before. Pity.

Being part of the EU meant British citizens were also free to live and work anywhere in the EU.

Health care workers are so poorly paid in Britain that locals don't want the jobs. That's why they rely on foreign workers. EU countries were critical of Britain's handling of refugees before Brexit, don't you remember all the refugees stacked up on the French side of the Chunnel because the Brits wouldn't let them through. Nothing has changed.

EU citizens can live anywhere in the EU. Britain was preventing refugees from entering before Brexit. My link shows the number of refugees entering Britain has increased since Brexit.

As well as other industries, the  loss of EU workers has aggravated the shortage of health care workers in the UK

BREXIT  had nothing to do with refugees. Only EU citizens had freedom of movement within the EU. Brits were claiming Eastern European EU citizens were taking all the jobs. Now they have all gone home and there is a severe labour shortage in service jobs and health care.

BREXIT hasn't done anything to stop refugees from crossing the Channel.

Dumping billions of tons of carbon trapped in the earths crust into the atmosphere isn't natural. 90% of the heat generated has been absorbed by the oceans. More severe weather is a result of that heat being released.

Instead of the anticipated catgory 3 - it weakened to categoty 1!

You forgot a decimal point. The estimate is 6 to 7 billion. The original estimate was 2 billion.

      Quote

CGF said the estimate of A$6bn is double the figure they were advised of at a board meeting last month, and that the increase in costs were due to the "unique regional delivery model" that Victoria chose for the games.

Did you even bother to look at the link. Again, the House makes legislation, no the president or senate. Biden did get some changes done as per the link.

The assault weapons ban was passed during the Clinton administration, Bush 2 got rid of it.
