What does your chart include only Income tax....does it include unemployment insurance deductions, pension deductions, the annual deficit (money borrowed on our behalf) Then thats only one branch of government we also have provincial taxes and property taxes...also percentage of government is all government and their borrowings too. The federal government was 20% of the economy in 2019 ....This is revenues plus 2019 borrowing.

Rich people pay a lot of Tax here in Canada.....Its a myth that they don't......Politicians are always pointing their finger in other directions. The rich are very mobile and government has to be very careful about how much they tax them.....There has been a lot of chatter that the Feds are looking at the principal residence which is a big captured tax base to make up revenue shortfalls.....They need a big number and the homeowner is a big enough to put them in the black temporarily. Lets not forget you could have 2 residences back in the 80's.......Government is becoming a bigger percentage of the economy almost every year.....Soon we will go to work and our whole cheques will go to them if they have their way.....

Its kinda useless to talk about Canada china relations....Canada will just follow what the US does......If Trump wins the election which is looking more likely by the day to me... decoupling with China will continue.....China does not honour contracts....They have consistently lied to all US presidents for at least 20 years. They have not honoured the Hong Kong contract. They promised not to militarize the south China sea. In the end china's greediness on the Trade front could end up hurting them badly...They probably hold too much US denominated debt and if the US dollar devalues their holding will devalue its like making a bad investment.....They should have diversified better...... The Us dollar has been weakening lately...time will tell if this is a blip or a trend.......Get ready for a very volatile financial world

My theory is that peoples sub conscience is very smart.....The hoarding of toilet paper has nothing to do with the Virus it has to do with the Economic reset we will have to go through. In the Back of our brains we can see whats going on.....On a day to day bases over say the last 10 years.....look at all the expensive cars on the road, house prices through the roof. A cop standing guard at a road construction site making $100/ hr while the sweaty workers make $40. All the money made on Wall street by people smart enough to bet against government policy while Main street has no idea how too....and whose work is just as valuable but being unknowingly depreciated. Therefor Toilet paper hoarding..........What connects us all currency....The shits going to hit the fan!!!!....

The Virus is just a small part of where we are headed....The big picture is all the debt. lets talk about government debt...the people in power believe or want us to think they believe (all the while they are stealing some of the money) that they can print money, borrow money, set interest rates below inflation with no out plan. Basically this all leads to us living above our means currently which means we have to live below our means in the future. The scary part is they have no out plan in this manipulation of economics there is no way possible that you can reward borrowers and punish savers forever. So basically we are stuck at 0% interest rates...while they borrow large amounts of money for as long as possible ....it was a big mistake to get rid of the gold standard as this kept government borrowing in check. All the work converted into savings that anyone has done in the past is being absorbed by Government spending borrowing. What exactly will happen is impossible to predict because we don,t know what government will do......Basically what I do know is currency is being devalued paper money is worth less and less by the day. This is why asset prices are so high.... why have any cash currently. So at some point they will have to raise interest rates but this will devalue all the assets that have risen over the last 10 years or so.... In my opinion the Virus just pushed us closer to the reckoning faster.

I get your concerns I'm not saying do it tomorrow it will take some planning. We need to engage companies in the matter. There will be some pain and hiccups the matter is urgent and we need to ask the experts how this can be done. Yes our economy is coupled and it needs to be decoupled.......Unleash capitalism in the matter...

We should impliment a plan ending trade with them completely. Start with the most expensive and sensitive goods and move all the way down to the dollar store stuff.
