  1. From now to November seems like a long way away. 2020 has been jam packed with over the top events, so anything goes!! My prediction was if the Dems did not get behind Sanders, then that guarantees another 4 years of Trump. However, we had some wild cards this year. The way Trump is handling these crisis shows that he was always in way over his head when it comes to being POTUS.
  2. Nah, don't think you are fooling anyone, your posts scream MAGA.
  3. So dude was sleeping in his car? Trying to sleep off the booze? I mean he could have simply drove the car and then killed people. Why not just let the dude sleep it off....
  4. I like the idea, but the brick won't fit in my wallet. Hmm but like the Fed pumping money into the collapsing system, having these bricks everywhere is also devaluing the currency! And then the good run out.
  5. I am all for de-militarizing the police. Doctors and teachers struggle to get the right equipment for their jobs, and yet the police are kitted out for all out war with expensive gear , armor, firepower and .. tanks.
  6. Methinks they did not quite think this 100% of the way through. Or even 50%. Logistics and supply chains are a thing, and they are gonna see how much life suck without those being in place.
  7. How about two people standing 20 feet apart in a high wind, exerting nothing. Wind is directly going from one to the other.
  8. The wind blows. Is 6 feet enough? That appears to be what they are doing. Not many of these protests are doing the social distancing! Most stores have high throughput ventilation systems. You can also feel that wind inside. Slap that mask on and welcome to your new normal! No mask? No service.
  9. Boggles the damn mind now does it not!? Oh and apparently you can have sexy time.. but please wear a mask. And to think after all my years with my gal, I could not get her to wear a mask otherwise :D. Sure it's not a mask that protects against covid... but .. .... I digress..
  10. Sure. However when looking at those stats. There is a clear indication it is OTHERWISE. There appears to be no distinction between them.
  11. He seemed to be a bully himself, before he found god. Sure a man can change and that has to be taken into account. But detain and then let the courts do the rest. The report said he was resisting, but in one vid, he kind of acted drunk or intoxicated.. he could not really walk, and fell down a couple times, once smacking his head on the police vehicle. Yes they had problems getting him into the truck, but if anyone has tried to move a completely intoxicated slumped person who could barley walk. ... it's a challenge. Why he was dragged back out?? No clue. Once in the truck, they should have closed the door and be done with it.
  12. Armed or OTHERWISE dangerous. So the stats are not even accurate.
  13. Ventura would get my vote.. Powell,, absolutely not. he bowed to the will of the Bush administration and helped perpetuate the Iraq invasions. Dont know much about the rest of the lot... well Arnie might be decent. Cuomo the cuck or Shrieking Shapiro.. either are terrible choices too.
  14. No, but it can help explain things. it's just another piece of this complex puzzle. Context is also important.
  15. George did not deserve to die on the street. However, painting him as a saint, is far from reality. Saying he was not violent either, is incorrect. I cannot say about Breonna Taylor, i don't know enough about that situation. https://www.thestar.com.my/news/world/2020/06/09/george-floyd-gentle-giant-with-a-criminal-record-who-found-redemption-in-religion
  16. I asked for directions from a convenience store clerk in Montreal. I asked in English and the clerk was having none of it. Then I swore him up and down in French. The look on his face was priceless.
  17. Yes apparently George Floyd had quite the rap sheet. From what I heard about those reports, he was not a nice person at all. What I feel is that this was more of a revenge killing from the police officer as they appeared to have some beefs with each other in the past.
  18. Affirmative action leads to employee quotas. Meaning you need a few of these, a few of those, some of them, and some others. Regardless of their ability to actually do the job.
  19. When politicians and other government officials start listening to the public. No I am not ok with people breaking the law, but if those that lead us are breaking the law and getting away with it, or with slaps on the wrist, why should anyone else play by the rules they break themselves? It's not that much to ask that these people be held accountable for screwing the people. But yet we vote in the same fools. So maybe the way we do things need to change. Anyways, it appears that the government had no idea how to handle this pandemic. The message is not consistent. Trudeau , Ford and Sheer take nice trips to see family which we were told not to do. And if we did, we risked a fine. That pompous black-faced , mask wearin, fake kneeling Trudeau is not getting any support from me. The economy took a big hit for the flattening. We saw where the numbers were with the deaths. People with major health issues, elder care homes. This also shed the light on the terrible conditions in those places, obviously many not run up to any kind of humane standard. Yes it matters what people are upset about. Police brutality is a big thing, and only a small part of people's beefs.
  20. I am suggesting that people are tired of getting fucked over by a government that does not give a shit about them. Certain groups of people have been screaming about it for a long time, all falling on deaf ears. Now you see the results of people not taking it anymore.
  21. Interesting that funding for health care can be cut to make sure the police have enough riot gear. Seems like our governments are not doing the right thing either. People tried being nice to get what they need/want. Officials did not listen and then wonder why the people are pissed. They've been fudging the numbers all along. I don't trust our government to tell us the truth on this anymore. Actually I did not trust them before all this went down.
  22. Not from what I have seen on video. You are screwed if you are not paying your TV license.
  23. Who are the police protecting us from? Looters get the pass while the police focus their attention on peaceful protestors. And during a crisis, the police wont be there to help. They will call up reserves , national guard and the military.
