  1. If an app like this becomes mandatory and people will not want to install it If I may advise the government: there is a few people on this forum that will love a job as the enforcers. I propose @eyeballas the general and @Right To Left as the colonel. The uniform has to be red with a hammer and sickle as the emblem Joking, not sure if socialists and communists have a sense of humor.
  2. I heard stories from my family when Ceausescu used to visit the factories he used to "motivate" by saying: "Work, work tovaras, we are socialist now, our goal is to reach true communism" (Romania was called The Socialist Republic). The clapping, the smiles like come on how can you disagree with that ? You must be a fascist if you don't clap in which case the securitatea was waiting outside for 1 way trip to a 5 star vacation.
  3. I know someone that has relatives in Shanghai, they are so many people infected in the city yet China yesterday, for example, reported in the whole country: 1 infected, 0 dead . "There is no crime or problems in a country that is lead by a communist party"
  4. It requires to be open minded to understand sarcasm. That's why I placed "sociopaths" with quotes, I was referring to his generalization about capitalism.
  5. Sounds to me like an union talking point. If it wasn't for those "sociopaths" to invest and come up with original ideas right now you would still be living in the forest with a toilet outside. Who knows ? You communists are attracted by that minimalistic life. Now if you excuse me is 6:30 am on a Sunday and I just started working, I guess that makes me a "sociopath". Now you know while people are fighting to save businesses and jobs, there are people in this country that want the whole system to collapse. P.S. Regarding crime in communist countries, of course is not that much crime because the criminals are running the system.
  6. Despite having nearly twice as many confirmed cases of the virus than any other province and nearly 60 per cent of the country’s total deaths, Quebec has become the first province to begin reopening schools and businesses everywhere outside of Montreal. The INSPQ also projected 1,000 new cases of the virus a day and a rapid increase in hospitalizations should restrictions lift. - CTV NEWS If the above is not enough, what got me going this morning is this: The federal government has suspended shipments of N95 respirators from a Montreal-based supplier after about eight million of the masks made in China failed to meet specifications. - CBC The masks were intended for essential workers. Quebec over Canada except when it comes to the future federal bailout which will come from the pocket of all of us, working Canadians. It is incompetence or corruption ?
  7. Nobody said that the current system is perfect, you are just offering an alternative that goes against human nature having been tried several times in history. Give it up already, human beings do not have the DNA to be communist. I can already see your answer (like any student brainwashed by his social sciences Marxist professor would say): "Yah but those are dictators, that was not real communism, it was not Marx's writings". What you fail to understand is that Marx's writings lead to dictatorship because human beings at the individual level are unique and competitive.
  8. You keep posting this in regards to climate change/environment like it makes you superior. Adolf Hitler was a big believer in the environment too. I don't donate to communist organizations like Greenpeace but I do recycle and do the best I can as an INDIVIDUAL to protect the environment. Nobody is crying or giving up, that's the beauty of capitalism you fall to rise again, opportunity is endless.
  9. @Michael Hardner please don't sue me for plagiarism but I am copying your system of dividing ideas 1. Your idealism will never allow you to reach your full potential. 2. Yes, socialism is unleashed and we are collapsing, the more I work and run the numbers the more I realize that this is serious, you happy ? You are just talking from a position that never ran a business, never had the stress that people's lives are at stake, you are just a man that follows directions and when it all fails it is so easy to point the finger at "management". 3. Who is leaving who behind ? In San Francisco the homeless have free alcohol and drug delivery on top of food. Don't you worry even if some of us will fail, other people with original ideas will rise and the system will live on. I am sorry they won't make you into a revolutionary general
  10. Yes but if you have a few soldiers patrolling with local police units, psychologically the population will react differently if they see that beside 3 police uniforms there is a soldier fully equipped getting out of the car to inspect social distancing measures. It is very hard to get that approved in Toronto though, the communists will scream the Nazis have arrived. There is an article already I think in the Toronto Star: "How can I explain to my child the military vehicles in his city?". It is very easy to explain sir, if we don't get this under control and the markets don't recover you and your family might have to check every garbage bin for food in a few months.
  11. Who pays for socialism to step in for people in trouble ? Did Bernie Sanders sent some money from Vermont up to Canada ? Oh no wait, it might be those capitalists that pay up their nose in taxes.
  12. https://toronto.citynews.ca/video/2020/04/23/i-lost-my-house-everything-restaurant-owner-says-coronavirus-has-forced-him-out-of-business/ Imagine now a second wave. There is an ancient Chinese curse: "May you live in interesting times". We sure are living interesting, troubling times.
  13. I live downtown Toronto, I go out once a day to grab lunch. Every day I see more and more people hanging out in groups, all ages from children to seniors. The disregard for social distance is out of control in the big cities in Canada. The police might be on vacation because I have not seen that many cop cars around. As someone that is fighting daily for my professional and economic survival a second wave will be a disaster, not to mention the lives that will be lost. It is very hard for someone that values individual freedom like myself to ask this question: Should the military be deployed on the streets in case a second wave starts ? The more I think about it, maybe psychologically will deter a lot of people to stay inside when they spot soldiers around. Looking forward to hearing your opinion.
  14. I will pretend that I did not read the second point by rationalizing that you are so far brainwashed and I won't take it personally, you are just a communist agitator that does not understand the value of hard work and having original ideas to produce and deliver a service to another human being. I spent some time to understand along the years why human beings commit such atrocities towards other human beings and I came to the conclusion it all boils down to the group mentality. It does not matter if it is communism, fascism, white nationalism, black nationalism, Asian nationalism, Hindu theocracy, Muslim theocracy even Buddhism nationalism/theocracy in Myanmar . Some are reactions to others and is hard to say who started it all. The chicken or the egg ? People at the individual level are good, but if they go in an organized group combined with some economic insecurity they commit atrocities that's precisely why focusing on the individual is the key to freedom and of understanding between people. The main goal of the communist above and their fascist brethren is to recruit people, is to take away your individual freedom and to become a sheep. My advice to every free independent out there is to move along and stay alert because we have a saying back home: "If you get in the middle of two pigs fighting, you might become one".
  15. Thank you for bringing an academic point of view to this, myself on this topic of communism emotion takes over and it creeps over into what I write. I am so sick of people telling me about the good of communism but they were not there or they did not have families to tell them the tragedies: to wait in line 2 hours for one egg, to come from school and to be careful what you say because your landlord will report you and you end up in a prison, to come home from work as a teacher, tired but you open the fridge and is no food because someone decided to enforce "the equality between the classes". Capitalism with its flaws provides even for our poorest which it should because we have to value humanity, there's nobody that dies of hunger on the contrary look here what capitalism does: San Francisco gives free drugs, alcohol to homeless quarantining in hotels. Where is the money coming from ? From Karl Marx ? "Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results"
  16. I see Mr. Rue like one of those good cops that show up when is needed
  17. 1. Nazi Germany, the name is national SOCIALISM, you forgot to mention that aspect. It might work with university kids but not with me. Hitler was a socialist so he can also be added to those numbers, the only difference was that he wanted communism just for the Germans. Communism 2.0 version. 2. There is a difference between theory and practical use. I will share a story, my dad ran away during the communist era in Romania since the militia wanted to get him, when he had the interview with the Americans they asked him "how come when you grew up you did not fight against communism?". My dad replied: "did you read Das Kapital ? the theory is good but while I was growing up I matured and I realized that communism takes away human desire to succeed and that's why I am here to meet my potential". Anyways he liked Canada more for the same idea, to have freedom to meet his potential. I will add that Marx at one point was talking about sharing profit with the workers ?! Ok, but how about when is a risk factor, should the workers take the loss too ? When I am not too tired from work and have lots of time on my hand like Marx did, there are so many things I can analyze from Karl, a drunk that never produced a service in his life and a man with no roots that denied his Jewish origins with hatred and created so much anti-Semitism in the world to this day. 3. I would agree with you that capitalism is going the wrong direction, is true, it is becoming so monopolistic that it does risk to look like communism which is a few people on top and the rest at the bottom so for sure there has to be changes for the better otherwise we will have people like yourself with red flags in the streets going after private property.
  18. I would not be surprised if Marocc is a plant for whatever group put here to stew division between people and against Muslims or he is just a troll getting off on people's reaction. Orthodox Christians priests back home talk the same as him and drive a BMW to church (so Christian) and now they started fighting with the police because they are closing the churches there due to Coronavirus. I know of another story told to me by a very good Jewish friend of mine in Quebec that went to get paid for his services to a member of the orthodox community and the man refused to pay him because: "The rabbi told him to not pay because you are not Jewish enough". So the point is, every group has their percentage of craziness, it is marginal in the big picture. Typical troll or propaganda tactic to provoke a group mentality against another group. You just give them a target and people with their emotions jump to it because is trendy. Me, personally I am not buying it, the Muslims that I work with are proud Canadians, better educated and they contribute to this society and it will get better and better with the new generations. I will make sure when me and my Algerian or Qatari friend sit down to have some bacon for breakfast to show him some of Marocc's posting so we can both have a good laugh. I am sure you will let me know they are not muslims. Be humble my friend and focus on bettering yourself, God does not have time for arrogance. "You can fool all the people some of the time and some of the people all the time, but you cannot fool all the people all the time."
  19. Some people driving the car lead us to cruel and inhuman behavior, not the car, there are more deaths in the name of no religion (Stalin, Pol Pot, Mao, Lenin). Human beings will always find a reason for atrocities.
  20. @eyeball You are generalizing on all conservatives based on your personal experiences, we all do, for example I could not sleep all night because my neighbor (happens to be a left winger with blue hair lol) who got laid off from his job and got that government assistance was playing video games & swearing and here I am at 6:30 am in the morning trying to work, produce and provide a service to my customers. I can easily say: "you see what socialism does to this country, the liberals should be left broke in the street to use a food bank" but that would be painting everyone with the same brush. Lots of people that got that help and need it, I did too in the past for different circumstances. It was so funny because when I wanted to pay them back is like they did not want the money. Something tells me this guy won't be here for long, rent is expensive in Toronto and no matter what the communists on top say to not pay your rent at the end is all about economics and private property.
  21. The way I see religion (all) is like the manual stick car, it was necessary to start and teach us how to drive, however now we have automatic cars, we know what is right and wrong. I don't want to hear the argument that "we would have figure it out". You sure you want to gamble on that ? Sure we can argue that some cars are better than others in terms of getting you somewhere in life however a lot of atheists just drive automatic arrogantly and tend to forget how it all started. Me, I love to drive automatic but I do have respect for the manual car.
  22. FEMA, One World Government, Camps, Anti-Christ, Pope Francis. Anyone else want to add some more ? On a more serious is ok to be suspicious, but there is a fine line between that and paranoia.
  23. Good afternoon, will like this topic to discuss why is it that some Canadians (many on this forum) tend to confuse their patriotism with the USA. This is not only about Trump or liberals/conservatives. I remember when Harper was PM here and Obama was president in the USA lots of members from the left wing were talking like they were living south of the border. Now you have the right wing with Trudeau PM here and Trump president. Looking to hear your opinions on this great Monday.
