  1. In case of scripture, for one, I'm pretty sure having studied the scripture of which one initiates a debate comes before any attempts at developing identical thought patterns with the opposing party - or do you mean facts rather than logic? Or would you say all past and present religious philosophers also have no grasp of logic – At least not to the same extent as you.
  2. The high-risk people who live with other not high-risk people, what are you gonna do about those?
  3. It effects government policy because it is.
  4. I don't remeber what you're referring to but as you must already understand, whatever God does, everyone will get what they deserve. So if God causes someone a certain hardship, they will never be wronged by God. Man is not like that. I know you're running out of arguments. You should study the scripture before you debate it.
  5. —as a whole. You cannot try to measure and define the justice because you are not all-knowing. I am not talking about limited situations like an incident of violence or war. Everyone will get what they deserve in the hereafter. What if the punishment of an evildoer is that they are allowed to go on sinning, doing more and more evil deeds — once they're dead, it is too late to repent and they will be punished with a punishment much worse than a punishment in this world. While the innocent who suffer in this world, will be rewarded for their patience.
  6. I don't know what is just in all matters. I know God gives everyone what they deserve. I know justice will happen. I don't now how in practice it will come about. I doubt such a thing happened.
  7. The simplicity must be the reason why part of Christians welcome gay priests and others can't overcome the fact that fornication happens. The Bible is such a simple book; we live forever, we die. Jesus died, jesus can't die. Cover your hair, don't cover your hair. Obey your husband, get a wife instead.
  8. with your logic Christianity doesn't condemn pedophilia either. There's no law against incest and yes, you can marry your cousin.
  9. America — where everyone can do whatever they want. The nation of liberties.. Always talking about the inequality in Turkey, Russia, Pakistan, China.. You name it. Isn't there a saying about cleaning your own backyard before pointing at those of others? ".....'The disparities that have plagued this city, this nation that are all about fundamental inequality are once again causing such pain and causing innocent people to lose their lives,' he said in a press briefing on April 8........" https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-8231077/Black-people-NYC-TWICE-likely-die-coronavirus-white-people-data-shows.html ...... 'It's sick. It's troubling. It's wrong. The pain it's causing, the death it's causing, tracks with other profound health care disparities that we have seen for decades in this city.'....... .........You know, it always seems that the poorest people pay the highest price..... ......... 'Ultimately, it's inequality that's the preexisting condition..."
  10. You must be devout student of the Bible. Which part of the 'made them male and female, and said, ‘Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife...........So they are no longer two but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let not man separate' did you not understand? Keep that in mind next time we talk about the Quran.
  11. Are you just baiting or what, because you're speaking such nonsense?
  12. That's because the Christian doctrine – as many 'non-practising Christians' know – is so twisted, that you'd have to have gone wrong somewhere to end up trying to believe and follow all that.
  13. Matthew 19:4-6 "He answered, “Have you not read that he who created them from the beginning made them male and female, and said, ‘Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’? So they are no longer two but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let not man separate.”" https://biblia.com/bible/esv/matthew/19/4-6
  14. Deuteronomy 22:25 “But if in the open country a man meets a young woman who is betrothed, and the man seizes her and lies with her, then only the man who lay with her shall die." https://biblia.com/bible/esv/deuteronomy/22/13-29 If this was the law, then this would not be killing unjustly. But you know that.
  15. Now that I think about it, this hypothetical woman is doing something very stupid and must have a gun randomly nearby. Unless the rapist is armed.... But you're not supposed to use a gun for self-defense if you don't happen to be a police officer on duty. When did I say that?
  16. That would be defense, not a punishment. However there are certain punishments for rape in the Bible.
  17. https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/ 700,125 Cases which had an outcome: 553,227 (79%) Recovered / Discharged 146,898 (21%) Deaths
  18. You think you act based on your Atheism I can see one useful side of having devout atheists around, who follow no standards but their own. They're easy to point out to one's children and say, "don't become like that." This is far from obvious and it is telling that you don't see that but think it is okay to generalise in such a way. You did say, 'people like you'. That's still not clear to you? What kind of a Muslim doesn't believe in the Qur'an? You can look it up if you want. I'm guessing it isn't of much interest to you. Just 'people like me' being oppressed.
  19. Would you feel okay about one called the Canada virus? Further, would the people around you feel okay about it?
  20. Bill Maher said something racist/derogatory/embarassing. That is his profession, no?
  21. That doesn't justify your earlier words. You implied that people like me are violent. That leads me to the conclusion you mean either me, personally, or Muslims. That combined with your denial that various other groups of people are anything like you, sounds almost like you were stumbling on your own words. I resent defending myself against false statements. It is inappropriate to make false statements without concern for the consequences and place the responsibility of declaring them false on the targeted group or individual.
  22. I.e. you know nothing about religion, but you have known religious people? That wouldn't get you far into the topic of religion, unless the topic was religious people as perceived in specific groups and as individuals — which would be more of a social-psychological topic, rather than a religious one. So when it comes to the former, it referred to you in a specific, detailed way, but the latter referred to me on a vague way?
