Not sure which part you're referring to, but compared to either nothing, or the rest of the world in general. Or any place you care to.
-
Then stop interrupting me with your pro-Israeli propaganda. This isn't about where I'm at. Are you all so narrow minded? Does anybody here care about other people? other countries? Nature? Animals? Anything? I talk about Canada because this is a forum regarding Canada. If I want to talk about oppression or poverty in Africa, I don't bring it here to overly comfortable racists to "judge", which appears to be all they want to do – judge. No wonder you're so afraid of being judged.
-
As you like. That doesn't make the situation in Canada any better.

Indeed, but what I said was, there can be no racism due to Islam and what I mean is that there is no place for Racism in Islam (not 'among Muslims', but Islam; the religion, its teachings, the Islamic law etc.). Doesn't sound likely. You use the two pretty much interchangeably. I'm not sure you should. That's all black and white for you then? As if Egypt didn't have a long history Did it just pop up one day and both the Christians and the Muslims were there and then they started fighting for no reason, but 'being different'? If that's what Muslims just 'are', why is there no problem in Dubai, for example? Why are the Muslims there apparently much 'more tolerant' than the Muslims in Egypt? what about India. Do the present political leaders fear different people so much, they would destroy their whole nation for it. They would give almost anything just so they can go on oppressing the Muslims. You think it's because they just think they're so good? It doesn't have anything to do with Pakistan or politics, anything?

There's no denying the US is a capitalist country, but does everyone yet admit that the capitalism is causing enormous problems all over the US and the world? If they don't try - sincerely try - to fix things they should be held responsible for how their capitalism affects others. Would it be unreasonable to say out loud, 'capitalism is ruining the US'? In four weeks, during the pandemic, the rich amassed $308bn and 26 million Americans lost their jobs. https://www.theguardian.com/world/2020/apr/26/heads-we-win-tails-you-lose-how-americas-rich-have-turned-pandemic-into-profit ".......Collins said the pandemic had further exposed fault lines in the US body politic that have been widening the gap between the really rich and the rest over decades........." "..........By 2016 – seven years after the end of the last recession – the bottom 90% of households in the US had still not recovered from the last downturn while the top 10% had more wealth than they had in 2007....." "......For black and Latinx Americans, the situation is worse. The black-white wage gaps are larger today than they were in 1979......." "....Billionaire wealth soared 1,130% in 2020 dollars between 1990 and 2020, according to the Institute for Policy Studies...." "...And the tax obligations of America’s billionaires, measured as a percentage of their wealth, decreased 79% between 1980 and 2018.."

I found nothing worth answering to on your previous comment. There can be no racism due to Islam. I haven't notice us making a comparison. It is not the topic, but if you'd like to bring it up, you might at least say something useful about it, such as statistics. I don't know what those are. Were you the victim of these "off-colour remarks"? There is absolute justice from God. All violence is not punished in any country according to any law. What a waste of resources.
-
Do you have evidence for that?
-
Now, @Argus would never think like that, surely? They would hate to be called islamophobic for saying something nasty about someone who might be a Muslim. If someone calls you anti-Semitic just do as the habit is here: deny, deny, deny. It's just that a lot of people are in complete ignorance/denial about what Israel is and what its goals are.
-
Why, do you want to make a "moral judgment" on the society? To be honest, I don't think you're in a position to do that.
-
Actually they're not.
-
Yes. There was on the news some days ago an account of how a journalist was gang raped in Egypt. It was the military that saved her. Unlike you, I'm willing to talk about oppression anywhere.
-
I have seen no proof of this and someone saying so on a propaganda video meant to shock and upset, is not proof the individual believes in it. But now I'm confused — the two reasons you mentioned are the same/similar reasons for that some Canadians are racistic?
-
Practicioners of other religions pray too. They even got prayer time schedules like Muslims do.
-
You think (those) Muslims hate non-Muslims, Jews and gays because they believe their religion is the best and only true religion [you mean as opposed to how Buddhists feel?], and because they believe their holy book tells them to hate others and even to kill them? Has someone told you, 'I hate Jews/Non-Muslims/gays - the book tells me to'? Where do you get the information? Your first point makes no sense because most followers of a religion believe the same thing. The second makes no sense because you're not only saying some hate and kill such and such people because they're told to — you're saying they think they have been told to hate and kill.

That's a good idea. "How are we not choking on these numbers? For a country so self-satisfied with its image of progressive tolerance, how is this not a national crisis? Why are governments not falling on this issue?" https://www.macleans.ca/news/canada/out-of-sight-out-of-mind-2/ "If we want to fix this, the first step is to admit something is wrong. Start by saying it to yourself, but say it out loud: “Canada has a race problem.”" This article unfortunately didn't appear to give reasons for racism, but reasons for why Canada ignores racism.
-
Too bad you care so much.
-
Doubts you have seen that. Why exaggerate so much? Can we assume from your continuous attempts at asserting the topic as insignificant, that you too see no reason to think that someone could be causing Canadians to express more racistic attitudes than they otherwise would? Politics have to do with power. Example: X wants to become an influential political figure, but can't stand Y who happens to be much more popular than X. In fact, X believes as long as Y is in politics X might never become all that influential because Y is giving the people all they want and X can't offer the same. Y is a real jerk - always speaking against racism and inequality, defending immigrants and wasting his time on all similar nonsense. X knows that some people in his country are racistic and knows that he needs all those on his side - however, those alone won't do; there are too few. So he starts spreading ideas that cause the racists to become more racistic and those who are not racist to become, at first at least, just a little bit racistic.
-
Then it looks like your answer is basically that the reason some Canadians are so racistic and so loud about it, is 'fear of different and belief in their superiority.' You then seemingly exclude any possibility that political groups around Canada and the world could possibly be affecting the amount and quality of that fear of the different and belief in one's superiority.
-
And if someone asked, "why is it that there is so much stealing, raping and murdering happening in the UK?" would your answer be, "for the same reason there's stealing, raping and murder happening elsewhere."? This is about Canada. I don't know the answer. It has to do with politics, not just ethics. That's an interesting map. Thank you for sharing it. Do you know, was the question asked from people of different ethnicities or just from "white" people?
-
And what would that reason be? What would be the reason for such?
-
What is the real reason some Canadians are so racistic and so loud about it?
