Canada Federal Carbon Dioxide CO2 Tax
Dougie93 replied to August1991's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Socialism is the opposite of social responsibility, social responsibility is an individual trait, as in; you feel responsible for your immediate land owning neighbors for example, whereas within the collectivist paradigm of socialism, nobody is responsible for anything, as in; you live in a public housing project where nobody does anything about anything because nobody owns it so nobody cares. -
Are humans really responsible for climate change?
Dougie93 replied to Canuck100's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
No, I'm suggesting that Canada is becoming Maoist all on its own without any interference from China at all, the Cultural Marxists actually originate from France in the 1970's, the Chinese do classical Bolshevism, you start yip yapping about "Intersectionality" or whatever in China, they'd just deep six you into an extra-judicial black hole, to preserve the "Peace and Harmony" of the Middle Kingdom. -
Justin Trudeau the Worst PM Since Pierre Trudeau?
Dougie93 replied to bush_cheney2004's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
The odds of a Canadian electorate throwing the bums out after a single term is pretty slim, usually takes at least two terms before the party in power accrues enough resentment to get rid of them, so I'd brace yourselves for four more years of Zoolander, might be able to knock them down to a minority but I'm expecting the mushy middle to give the Trudeaupians another round, I mean, when was the last Canadian government to be tossed after a single term? Paul Martin was just an extension of the Chretien government so that doesn't really count. The bane of Sheer is not even Trudeau, it's Singh, the Cat in the Hat can't win in Quebec and the Liberals have completely co-opted the Dippers platform, Sheer can't win without splitting the left and the Dippers are dead in the water right now, Gerry Butts knows what he's doing, worked for 13 years in Ontario and it will likely work again. At the end of the day, Canadian elections are not decided on the issues but rather structurally, if the lefties throw their teddies in the corner and split the left by storming off to the Dips, then the Conservatives can win, otherwise buckle up for more of the Natural Ruling Party, because the Gerry Butts strategy of just adopting the NDP platform as the Liberal Party platform pretty much insulates them from lefty teddy throwing for some time yet. Yes, people are getting annoyed by Trudeau and his shtick, but outside the partisan conservative base, there's no actual rage out there, the mushy middle just ain't that angry. And no, Western Alienation will not save you, because the West don't matter, all elections are decided in Ontario and Quebec. The only way the West will ever be free of the Natural Ruling Party in the Iron Triangle of Toronto-Montreal-Ottawa, is de-Confederation. -
Infrastructure, a key Liberal promise, is a mess
Dougie93 replied to Argus's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
And to be clear, there's not much free enterprise in centrally planned make work fake work, it's all inclusive to the socialist welfare state gulag, and I'm only opposed to public sector unions, Jerry Diaz and Unifor can go fuck themselves, but in the end I'm not out to bring them down, they're doing that all by themselves, slowly perhaps, but surely. -

There's no rant, you asked me to explain and I explained it for you, kid. /shrugs -
The thing that really makes America exponentially more survivable than the Russians and Chinese, is that the Russian and Chinese regimes are entirely centralized, chop the heads off those regimes and demilitarize them by force, and they simply cease to exist, whereas America is an idea, can't kill an idea, go ahead and nuke Washington, big whoop, you'll never take a drink from the Mississippi, and the constitution and associated States in the Union simply carries on without you.
-
Well, the Americans are not going to incite a nuclear war lightly, but if it comes down to a backs against the wall scenario and the Russians and/or Chinese are poised to strike, at the event horizon, the Americans will be forced to put them down with the counterforce option. But it wouldn't be the end of the world, the American counterforce would massively attrit the Russian/Chinese deterrents, chopping them down to a survivable impact. Yes, the CONUS would take some hits, but not everything everywhere, thus, the Americans would still be able to render unto and rebuild in the wake, while the Russian and Chinese governments and military's would be obliterated. Bad option for America, exponentially worse option for the Russian and Chinese tyrants, as you can't enjoy the fruits of being a tyrant when you're dead.

Poor, Poor Americans ...
Dougie93 replied to Selivan's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
I'm certainly not Anti-American, half my family are Americans, as my father's family moved from Vancouver to Glendale California after the Second World War, my father was raised in Southern California and went to UC Berkeley, so I could have been an American if he hadn't met my mother while traveling in Canada and came back to marry her, so I was raised with both the American Religion and Canadian Nationalism, which for me at least are not mutually exclusive, but I wouldn't claim to be an American as I was born in Vancouver, none the less, they are and always have been my brothers in arms, God save the Queen, God bless America. -
In actual fact, the Chinese aren't even really in this game, their deterrent is really quite modest, only the Russians have the zombie Soviet nuclear horses to rollout against the Americans, but again, the Russian early warning system is also zombie Soviet, and is as a result actually junk, so the Americans could actually hit them without any warning at all.
-
And a handful of those might get through in the wake of an American counterforce, dogs and moms would burn in a nuclear fire, but America loses a handful of population centers, then picks themselves up, dusts themselves off, and starts to rebuild immediately, while the PRC has ceased to exist for all intents and purposes in a hail of precisely targeted strikes against their entire government and military infrastructure. I would submit, I don't think the Americans would actually target the Chinese population centers, for one thing, the American imperative would be to limit the radioactive fallout plume, and for another, the Americans don't have to wipe the Chinese out as a people to take down the PRC and PLA.
-
Yeah, I wouldn't hold your breath on the Chinese and Russians standing up to the Americans with nuclear weapons, the Russians and Chinese are well aware that they are thoroughly outclassed by the US military and in the event of a nuclear conflagration the American counterforce would cripple their deterrents resulting in most of it never getting off the ground, the CONUS would take some hits, but the Union would not perish from this earth, while Eurasia would take the vast vast brunt of it. The thing about the Balance of Terror, is that its rather imbalanced in the Americans favour, as while the Russians and Chinese have the nukes, they don't have the global comprehensive early warning that the Americans do, so while the Americans can see them coming from a long ways off, the Russians are Chinese are actually vulnerable to a preemptive counterforce option.

Explain what? Work is Bullshit, Jobs are Jails? That's the doctrine of the Anti--Work Movement, asserting that "jobs" are really just self imprisonment restricting you from achieving your full potential, while keeping you occupied for most of your existence in order to preclude you from having the time and space to organize a revolt against the establishment power elites. Governments, corporations, and unions, working in concert to waylay the masses with divide and conquer precarious make work fake work to keep them in line, -
"Anti-US" is kind of meaningless as an ideological position, because it's not a monolith, 50 states in the Union, what exactly are you anti to? The Supremacy Clause?

Dougie93 replied to Selivan's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Now, I don't go around calling people "Fake Canadians", but seems to me, technically, the fake Canadians are the ones acting as if they live in a republic, and tho I am steeped in the American Religion, I am still not a republican. -
Poor, Poor Americans ...
Dougie93 replied to Selivan's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Not really, there's the Queen, and there's Parliamentary Supremacy, everything else there is your feelings, running up against my Constitution, and my Constitution thankfully trumps your feelings every time. -
Poor, Poor Americans ...
Dougie93 replied to Selivan's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Furthermore, there are many states and people's within Canadian Confederation who feel no particular affinity nor allegiance to "Canada", to include the First Nations, most of Quebec outside of Montreal, and increasingly, Alberta. -
Poor, Poor Americans ...
Dougie93 replied to Selivan's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Moreover, as Canada is a monarchy still, technically, I owe no allegiance to "Canada", never swore an oath to uphold and defend "Canada", I swore an oath to the Crown, not a People's Republic. My fealty is to a person not a place. For example, I'm perfectly capable of defending my Commander-In-Chief from Papua New Guinea as I am from Canader. -

Well, I desire autonomy from the likes of you, I don't want to be associated with you, you declaiming me as not being one of you, I wear as a badge of honour. /shrugs -
People who get offended for no reason

Once people have been indoctrinated there is no need for collusion, the first Maoist will start chanting the dogma and then the rest will follow along in a chorus, reflexively. -

Dougie93 replied to Canuck100's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Liberty > Safety. You do what you gotta do, but I'll not cower in the bottom of my trench in the face of totalitarian "Peace and Harmony", cause "Peace and Harmony" at any cost is the doctrine of the People's Communist Party of China. -
Are humans really responsible for climate change?
Dougie93 replied to Canuck100's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Well, the American first and second amendments are the last lights burning in a world sliding back into totalitarianism, so, even as a Canadian, I'd stand shoulder to shoulder with the Americans to defend them unto death as necessary, if they'd have me. -
I am the New Minister of Immigration!
Dougie93 replied to Argus's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
True enough, but none the less, it is inciting a Fascist vs Bolshevist dialectic with legs, it's like Poland, they were clicking along merrily towards classical liberalism, and then all of a sudden, bam, they have veered off the deep end into cuckoo cray cray naow. -
Justin Trudeau the Worst PM Since Pierre Trudeau?
Dougie93 replied to bush_cheney2004's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Mind you, there's actually two Canadian military's now, there's the Canadian Armed Forces, and then there's Canadian Special Operations Forces Command, CANSOFCOM is a world unto itself, they get all the budget, they get all the kit, they get all the best training, but because the military doesn't have the mass to support the level pf SOF they are trying to maintain, it's just exacerbating the hollowing out of the rest of the force. -
Justin Trudeau the Worst PM Since Pierre Trudeau?
Dougie93 replied to bush_cheney2004's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Not to mention that, the Marxism/Maoism of the Media Party government is now being imposed on the chain of command who are having to turn around and impose it on the ranks, ramming the Snowflakes down their throats, so that's taking things to a whole nother level of corrosion. -

"Common sense" is the ultimate fallacy, and, as I say, "once people are gone" is the stuff genocides are made of.
