Poor, Poor Americans ...
Dougie93 replied to Selivan's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Well, I desire autonomy from the likes of you, I don't want to be associated with you, you declaiming me as not being one of you, I wear as a badge of honour. /shrugs -
People who get offended for no reason

Once people have been indoctrinated there is no need for collusion, the first Maoist will start chanting the dogma and then the rest will follow along in a chorus, reflexively. -
Are humans really responsible for climate change?

Liberty > Safety. You do what you gotta do, but I'll not cower in the bottom of my trench in the face of totalitarian "Peace and Harmony", cause "Peace and Harmony" at any cost is the doctrine of the People's Communist Party of China. -

Well, the American first and second amendments are the last lights burning in a world sliding back into totalitarianism, so, even as a Canadian, I'd stand shoulder to shoulder with the Americans to defend them unto death as necessary, if they'd have me. -

True enough, but none the less, it is inciting a Fascist vs Bolshevist dialectic with legs, it's like Poland, they were clicking along merrily towards classical liberalism, and then all of a sudden, bam, they have veered off the deep end into cuckoo cray cray naow. -

Mind you, there's actually two Canadian military's now, there's the Canadian Armed Forces, and then there's Canadian Special Operations Forces Command, CANSOFCOM is a world unto itself, they get all the budget, they get all the kit, they get all the best training, but because the military doesn't have the mass to support the level pf SOF they are trying to maintain, it's just exacerbating the hollowing out of the rest of the force. -

Not to mention that, the Marxism/Maoism of the Media Party government is now being imposed on the chain of command who are having to turn around and impose it on the ranks, ramming the Snowflakes down their throats, so that's taking things to a whole nother level of corrosion. -

"Common sense" is the ultimate fallacy, and, as I say, "once people are gone" is the stuff genocides are made of. -

I didn't say it was a conspiracy, Canadian authoritarianism is a conspiracy in plain sight, but I served in the Canadian Army long enough to know what it's all about, maybe not quite as brutally repressive as the RCMP, but the Canadian military behind closed doors despises the Canadian public as a collective, they'd love the chance to sink their teeth into them alongside the Americans, the Canadian Army is with the Americans against the squishy Canadian bourgeoisie, again, not a conspiracy, but when you join the army you are informally indoctrinated to hate the civilian population and blame them for the pathetic state of the Canadian Forces. I mean, a lotta crazy shit goes on in the Canadian Army, once in awhile it breaks out into the open like it did in Somalia, but most of the time you never see it, same as with the cops, who are also crazy. One on one they act civilly, but as a collective, the Canadian Nanny Police State is bitter, disgruntled and mean. The Canadian military has been so dysfunctional for so long, the corrosive effects on morale are epidemic and entrenched. -

Basically, most viable option is; whenever the PQ sovereignists come back into vogue in Quebec, which they will, have to help them get it done this time, once Quebec is out, the rest will come apart at the seams. -

No, the UK is further down this path of totalitarian crazy than Canada is, although Canada is right behind them now and closing up fast, but again, fealty to the Crown and the British government is not the same thing, the UK government and the Canadian government and every other commonwealth government have their own direct line relationship with the Crown, and so in fact do all the Canadian provinces. This is not about the Royal Family, all that matters is the constitutional role of the monarch, because without that, you'd have to start over with a republic, which, that's not going to happen, Canadians are not going to go through the motions of becoming a republic This is what it is to be a Pequiste, you have to sneak it up on them, and then get it done quick before they have a chance to turn back and vote no, and need to use the existing monarchy and constitution to do it, because that structure is what has the clauses and procedures to allow for a legal non violent devolution and Sovereignty Association. Don't get me wrong, I like the Queen personally, but in this case I only need her in a constitutional sense. -

Nah, I embrace the American first amendment definition of free speech, the crazy Canadian impulse to censor Chinese Communist style is just another reason this country needs to be ended. -
America's Proxy War: Vietnam
Dougie93 replied to Grantler's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
The Domino Theory well predates the Kennedy Administration, it was inherited from Eisenhower, who invoked the falling of the "dominoes" in Asia at a news conference on 7 April 1954 Although, as Tokyo eluded to, the overriding policy which led to direct American military intervention in Indochina was the Truman Doctrine. It's also intellectually lazy and inaccurate to assert that the "Vietnamese" writ large rejected the Great Society Shining City, it was a civil war, the Vietnamese were deeply divided, but the Americans had plenty of takers on that, the Roman Catholic minority, Viet Minh defectors who became disillusioned by the totalitarian brutality of the Communist dictatorship in Hanoi, and there was an urban rural divide wherein the cities were with the Americans and Saigon alone represented about a third of the population of South Vietnam. Also, by 1962, Ho Chi Minh had essentially been deposed by an internal putsch, the actual leader of North Vietnam against the Americans was Le Duan, the Stalin of Indochina. Also should be pointed out that the Communist alternative to the American Great Society Shining City was a total and unmitigated catastrophe, destroying the Vietnamese economy to the point of inciting famine, and the country did not begin to recover until Le Duan died in 1986 and a movement of NVA veterans agitated for reconciliation with the Americans and associated resumption of trade. Canadian Content; while approximately 30,000 Americans fled to Canada to avoid service in Vietnam, almost exactly the same number, 30,000 Canadians went the other way, enlisting in the US military to serve in Vietnam voluntarily. -

Nah, that's not it, Canadian Confederation has simply become an enemy of liberty and prosperity by way of centrally planned Nanny Police State federal government overreach without end, I just want rid of this putrid and obsolete edifice of dysfunction. My relationship with Her Majesty is more about a personal doctrine of adherence to solemn oath of allegiance unto to death as necessary, for better or worse, come what may, once sworn, but the issue vis a vis Confederation, is simply that de-Confederation is actually a legally and constitutionally viable option within the confines of the House of Windsor, which would be a requirement for a non violent devolution into Sovereignty Association. In other words, yes, the Canadian Constitution has spoken, and Quebec has the right to withdraw from Confederation, and if they do, everybody else does as well. The trick would just be getting one province to break out to set the wheels in motion, very likely Quebec, although also a very slim chance it could be Alberta. At the end of the day, only the Guardians of Confederation here in Upper Canada have ever cared deeply about it, I've simply made a rational analysis that this has actually become a counterproductive zombie project to no good purpose at this juncture, and have as a result flipped to the Pequistes view of things therein. They are right, we are wrong, Ottawa is shit, and we need to free ourselves of it, all. All roads of Canadian dysfunction lead back to the Liberal Party of Canada and associated Guardians of Confederation propping up a failed state which cannot deliver for the people until it is decentralized into its component sub jurisdictions, by no means a panacea, but until we breakout of this clown show, none of us are going anywhere fast. -
Poor, Poor Americans ...
Dougie93 replied to Selivan's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Nah, that's all squishy Liberal Party of Canada bullshit myth making, it has nothing to do with caring Canadians caring for each other, Canada simply suffers from the same pathology as the United Kingdom, wherein both countries mobilized massive coordinated centrally planned emergency governments to fight the Second World War, which simply became entrenched interests which did not demobilize when the war was over and have as a result displaced free enterprise crippling us in relation to the dynamic hurly burly free market powerhouse to the south. To wit, Canada's self crippling Nanny Police State is just the junior partner of the British self crippling Nanny Police State. US achievements "impressive" makes me laugh, understatum ad absurdum, unless by "impressive" you mean not only the greatest country in the world but the greatest country in the history of the world, Cemetery Ridge to the Sea of Tranquility; The Shot Heard Round The World actually a species altering event, with no exaggeration. Canada really only has one claim to greatness, and that is as the World Ice Hockey Superpower, which is fine by me, as that's the only one I really care about, but otherwise we're just an adjunct accident of history and poor military planning by the Madison Administration, to wit, the Confederacy which won the war and lived to tell the tale. -

Dougie93 replied to Argus's topic in Whatever I damn well want to talk about.'s Topics
Cultural Marxists/Maoists do not assert offence for no reason, the reason is to acquire and consolidate political power for their totalitarian agenda. The commie bimbo who made the complaint is an NDP operative, and these tactics are straight out the playbook of the Chinese Cultural Revolution and this is the Canadian Red Guard traipsing about denouncing the The Four Olds and then daring anyone to stand up to the utter absurdity of it. When they don't stand up to it, when they self censor and cower in the face of the Red Guard, that's power, the power to make otherwise sensible folk bow down before an utter absurdity, which is on the face of it some grade A intimidation, particularly in an ostensibly "free" Western (classically) liberal democratic state. -
I am the New Minister of Immigration!
Dougie93 replied to Argus's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Meh, I don't expect immigration to be a big issue, Canada basically dodged the worst effects of the 2008 meltdown, so there isn't the same sort of economic anxiety here as there was for Trump going in. I would submit, this is just going to be a referendum on the carbon tax with Ontario deciding for the whole country, those of us who live in the rest of Upper Canada vs the Climate Barbie dingbats in Toronto. -
Trump has already fulfilled his most important role anyways, Gorsuch, Kavanaugh, bam, mission accomplished. Those two alone have already crippled the liberal agenda for generations to come. Now its just a question of whether or not he can score the hat trick, RBG takes a spill, and then it's lights out, Democrats, fucked for life, total SCOTUS War victory.

The origins of American military support for Egypt is the Israel-Egypt Peace Treaty facilitated by Jimmy Carter in 1979, prior to, the Egyptians were a Soviet client, but once the Egyptians agreed to make peace with the Israelis, that opened the way for the Americans to peel them off from the Soviets, in essence flipping them to the NATO side, at which point they were given access to US military hardware and money to pay for it. Pretty much everything the US does in the ME now is Cold War Legacy Projects from the Carter Administration, that just never got shut down at the end of the Cold War and became Zombie Cold War Legacy projects as a result.

Are Canadians, Americans?
Dougie93 replied to matrixebiz's topic in Canada / United States Relations
Assuming most people know, but just in case you don't, "Canada" is the French version of the Wendat word "Kanata" meaning "village", Quebec is the French version of the Algonquin word "Kebec" meaning "where the river narrows", "Ontario" is the Huron word meaning "Great Lake" and "Ottawa" is from the Algonquin word "Adawe" meaning "to trade". Just FYI -
Are Canadians, Americans?
Dougie93 replied to matrixebiz's topic in Canada / United States Relations
The origin is the War of 1812, prior to the war, the British North Americans called themselves "Americans" in just a people who live in America sense, bear in mind, many of these people were Americans in the 13 colonies who were forced to flee, the United Empire Loyalists who settled here in Upper Canada (Ontario). "Canadiens" was the French in Lower Canada (Quebec), but the War of 1812 incited the United Empire Loyalists to adopt the Anglicized "Canadians", because as the war progressed, it got pretty nasty near the end, the Yanks, in frustration from their inability to achieve the "just a matter of marching" quick victory they had expected, resorted to scorched earth and started burning all the farms down along the north shore of Lake Erie, and which point it became a viscous war against the people blood feud, and the United Empire Loyalists have been "Canadians" ever since, as "American" had simply come to mean "the enemy" here. -

Not to mention, vis a vis my de-Confederation doctrine, America doesn't have a Quebec, and even though the Pequistes are in hibernation right now, that sleeping giant could awaken in a flash, particularly if, say, the Canadian combined public private Debt Bomb were to explode in the next global financial crisis. -

It's like when the Americans say "Canada is becoming the first Post Soviet Marxist State", again, can't say that they're wrong, and even though the Cultural Marxists actually spread to Canada from America, they are having exponentially more effects at the highest levels in Canada, because Canada doesn't have the deeply ingrained suspicion of collectivism that Americans do, Canadians are knee jerk collectivists to start off with, two thirds of the country was wannabe commies before these commies even started coming out of the woodwork, so it takes far less of a push to shove Canada into bolshevism and it is digging in much deeper here. -

See, I don't see this cohort of bubble raised morally dependent iGen Antifa lunatics as being the end, this is just the first wave, the academics who are orchestrating this Maoist Student Red Guard are not backing down, they are doubling down, so far they've completely subverted the Liberals and the Dippers, and they've got the ConCucks completely intimidated into submission, this is not a passing fad, this is the new normal.
