World Economic Forum (WEF) Influence on Canadian Policy
Zeitgeist replied to West's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
“Alt-right”? Is that all you’ve got? I don’t even consider myself right-wing. You sound like Trudeau saying that the protesters were walking with people carrying swastikas when the people carrying swastikas were comparing Trudeau to Hitler and protesting authoritarianism. Michelle Rempel downplays the WEF because she’s part of the WEF “young global leader” creepfest. You’re basically an Internationalist collectivist, as far as I can tell, who will only support a CPC leader who keeps the same kinds of crippling climate policies and oppressive pandemic controls over the population as the Liberals. Don’t worry, you’re not alone. I don’t think Canada is a sovereign country anymore and most Canadians accept the latest global directives because their PM and associated media are on board. So is the Biden administration. Just don’t whine about the drop in living standards and our government’s quasi-totalitarian policies, as they are a direct result of supporting the global pandemic and climate change narratives. They aren’t the same as the national interests or the interests of Canadian citizens. But you know, maybe you’ll stave off floods and fires in Micronesia. -

You’re just wrong. The WEF Global Reset plans aren’t a secret and they’re collectivist in nature, 100%. Much of our policy has been aligned around an Internationally-defined pandemic response for over two years. Dr. Tam said she was waiting for international go-ahead before providing national directives. Inflation is a direct result of energy supply reductions that are central to climate change policies, the flooding of the markets with public debt to provide assistance to businesses and individuals through pandemic shutdowns, and the ongoing disruptions to supply chains caused by lockdowns, vaccine mandates, and other fallout from governments obsessed with the health impacts of one virus that has become relatively mild. The heavy influence of the WEF on governments is deeply concerning for Canadians. You downplay this as an annual spa getaway think tank. I’m no longer wasting energy trying to convince you. It’s probably easier for you and most people to keep the blinders on, so they will. I’m just pushing back where I can, but people are accustomed to the curtailments of freedoms and I think more are coming. -
Your views are just a playback of Liberal talking points and CTV nightly news. Thanks but I already have those feeds. Your denial and fearful need to see others controlled so you can feel safe has been the consistent theme of your posts.

World Economic Forum (WEF) Influence on Canadian Policy
Zeitgeist replied to West's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
At the moment that public pressure mounts to lift vaccine mandates and vaccines, we now have crushing inflation that will push people back into their villages and take away some of their homes. Having a Canadian leader who is infatuated with prominence on the world stage hasn’t served the interests of Canadians. Canada has basically become the first place to implement new global programs like digital ID and vaccine passports. We’re also the go-to resettlement country for refugees from the battlegrounds of great powers and failed or weak states. There’s no longer much consideration of affordability or constitutional rights. The main drivers of policy in Canada are defined internationally, currently the “pandemic crisis” and “climate crisis”. Our high cost of living and suppression of freedoms derive almost entirely from these issues, the central concerns of the WEF and WHO, organizations that are heavily influenced by China and have collectivist goals. -
When regions are unstable they can become havens for questionable and illegal activities that threaten safety and security. There’s no doubt that a variety of foreign and domestic dubious activities have been taking place in Ukraine, including biohazard research, money laundering, and the distribution and trade of arms among various interests, some of them criminal. Nuland knew that she couldn’t lie. There have been numerous outbreaks of various diseases in Ukraine. The bigger picture with all of this is that there will continue to be pandemic threats. In February Bill Gates predicted another one. It seems our federal government is ready with the unconstitutional Nazi health pass (with convenient digital QR code as recommended by Xi) for when the next health or other crisis appears. Trudeau won’t remove the vax pass or even discuss the removal of vaccine mandates. Either he isn’t in control of the ship, or if he is aware of the plans he’s helping to implement, he is an illegitimate PM because he’s undermining Canadian sovereignty and working against the interests of the people. The trucker convoy has been an attempt to undo these authoritarian moves, but our government and state-run media have vilified those who oppose these moves. The use of the Emergencies Act, freezing of bank accounts, and smearing of protesters with insults, not to mention the continued removal of constitutional rights from unvaccinated people, speaks for itself. Read my last post in the thread about the Conservative leadership contest for my more detailed take. However, it’s getting harder to get accurate information about what’s going on in Ukraine or with the pandemic response because big tech is totally politicized and simply colluding with government narratives. Even this site isn’t immune. We’ve seen Chinese propaganda on here, I believe. I also think about half the posters on here are basically in denial. They always shout conspiracy any time government narratives are questioned. Some, like Moonbox, are apologists for the Liberal government. Others, mostly the elderly, buy into the pandemic fear and think that all this business of vaccine mandates is keeping them safe. Just keep in mind that the authoritarian measures you cheerlead in the suppression of the trucker protests can be applied elsewhere. Fear has allowed oppression to take hold. I know some people write off Russel Brand as a buffoon, but he’s very sharp in this description of what’s going on. The Substack article that he sites is bang-on.

It wasn’t billions of dollars and the blockade was cleared prior to imposing the Emergencies Act. Keep apologizing for the government. -

The bridges almost always had a lane open through the protests. There were not billions of dollars of losses. The trucks did their deliveries, even if there were delays and fewer drivers because of the vaccine mandates, which drove up the costs of goods. You can’t compare these vaccines to those other inoculations, which are not mandatory for employment in most jobs. The vaccine mandates are forced government-issued healthcare that don’t take into account the uniqueness of individuals or their personal discretion. I’m triple-vaccinated but vehemently oppose vaccine mandates because it’s unconstitutional to throw people out of work and remove freedoms from people who have not chosen to take a vaccine, especially one that is new, provides incomplete protection, and doesn’t stop the spread of the virus. Vaccination was probably a good idea for most people, but that argument is increasingly difficult to make and the courts are now respecting personal discretion, which should completely up-end the vaccine passport. The damage to Canadian families of lockdowns and restrictions will be felt for years to come. The truckers, who had been valued as essential workers when most people worked from home, were drawing a line in the sand on government overreach, a line that our federal government continues to violate. Not only was Trudeau’s refusal to meet with protesters and discuss legitimate concerns extremely irresponsible leadership, he went much further by insulting them and making unvaccinated people seem less than human: unscientific, racist, misogynist, with unacceptable views and unworthy of space. Trudeau sounded like Hitler, according to Democrat influencer Bill Maher and one of the most important entrepreneurs of our century, Elon Musk. After the blockades were removed from borders and a court injunction reduced the honking in Ottawa, Trudeau had the audacity to bring in a form of martial law and declared the protests illegal. He also froze the bank accounts of those who supported the protests financially, retroactively, despite the fact that it was not illegal to support these protests when people made donations. There were a few particularly bad actors in this: Singh, leader of the NDP who threw his own brother under the bus for donating $13,000 to the convoy; Freeland, the first Finance Minister in history to freeze the bank accounts of people supporting a legal protest; Lametti, the Justice Minister who said that people with political views opposing the government would be targeted (he actually said Trump supporters); and many other collaborators (the Ottawa Chief of Police, Blair, etc.). Trudeau of course has come to represent hypocrisy on the world stage. He touts democracy abroad while suppressing it at home. The media outlets of other countries have him pegged: India, Australia, USA, UK, to name a few. To this day the vaccine mandates and passports remain in place and Trudeau won’t even discuss their removal. Could it have anything to do with the fact that as the protests got underway Klaus Schwab of the World Economic Forum said he had penetrated more than half the Canadian Cabinet? Of course not, that’s all conspiracy nonsense, even if the WEF wants everyone worldwide to have digital ID by 2030. This isn’t a secret and people have good reason to fear what’s occurred and probably still underway. You reference old political manoeuvres from a much more innocent time when people still remembered from the War just how precious freedom and sovereignty are. What has unfolded in Canada is unprecedented in its level of government overreach and violation of constitutional rights. We’re witnessing a naive narcissist PM behave arrogantly towards the people and recklessly towards our sovereignty and Constitution. What’s also become clear is just how far the government’s reach extends into our media and even our justice system. Our press is too heavily reliant on state funding to be called a free press. Smart, discerning people search for unbiased sources, mostly online, but there too we see big tech colluding with governments to shut down opposing narratives. As Harari has noted, we’re dangerously reliant on the data algorithms we have set up to run our society (A.I.). Just think of how we have watched the increases and decreases of cases, hospitalizations, and deaths. The public and governments surrendered their authority to technocrats, but of course science is applied based on choices that humans must make. We have given away too much of our agency. Trudeau’s authoritarian moves reflect this. We have to decide what matters to us as people. History taught us that constitutional rights matter because without them tyranny too easily takes hold, but look how loosely our government has played with the Constitution. We also must make sure that fear of hypothetical future scenarios like extreme climate change that haven’t happened yet doesn’t drive our policies to such a degree that life becomes unaffordable. Hyperinflation and military threats from energy superpowers are greater threats than the rise in global temperatures, at least for another generation or more. We need to drop the irresponsible over-subsidization of insufficient energy options and seek sane, realistic energy policy. We’ve forgotten something as basic as needing affordable energy to live. We’re also giving far too much time to pseudoscientific notions about how race underpins all we do. We’re more than our races. We must never let race determine our destiny. At the core of a free democracy must be principles of freedom. The truckers may not have articulated their battle in the way a Liberal politician or university professor would appreciate, but the unifying messages among the protesters still stand and have great importance for all freedom-loving people: Hold the line. Faith over fear. Mandate freedom. -
Does anyone actually care or worry about Covid anymore? Keep fit and get on with your lives.

You don’t know the meaning of authoritarianism. Having rules doesn’t make a state authoritarian. Having unnecessary and arbitrary unconstitutional rules and policies does.
-
Your opinions are JT’s are Lisa Laflamme’s are Jagmeet Singh’s. There’s no outside to the Liberal POC because having other opinions is unacceptable to Daddy Castro. Don’t worry, there will be a basic income to see you through to your imprisonment in a long term care home, where assisted suicide will be encouraged. Cradle to grave oppression is in the mail. Just keep telling yourself you’re free compared to people in lots of places. Visitors and religious services are forbidden to keep you safe. Stick to the essentials and follow the mandates if you want your bank account to remain active.
-
Yes I am against Bill 21. You’re a lost cheerleader of oppression. Don’t worry, lots of Canadians agree with you.
-
You and Citizen would lick the boots before and after they kick you and other Canadians in the face. You’re a cheerleader of oppressive policies.

Is Russiophobia one of Trudeau's "Acceptable Views"?
Zeitgeist replied to West's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Stop your creepy little inquisition against Russians. You don’t see the logs in your own eyes. The last three months has set us back 35 years in East-West relations. -
I think you’re a Chinese operative. I want and value religious freedom and traditions for all, as enshrined in the Constitution. Muslims, Jews, Christians, etc. should be able to celebrate their faith traditions and family milestones unthreatened by a state that has deemed religious practices non-essential. I have no interest in your green-alarmist, vapid, nihilist, post-national, communist BS. Stay away from the CPC that has already been compromised almost to the point of nullification. Continue to fear affordable life and liberty. Canada may be a write-off, and it’s views like yours that illustrate why.
-
No, you want to justify oppression by saying our allies have applied similar authoritarian policies, but they haven’t, certainly not to the degree of Canada. The closest comparison for pandemic response would be parts of Australia and New Zealand.

What you don’t seem to appreciate is that most Americans are freaking out about the state of the country and the world right now. They’re watching the cost of living skyrocket under an anti-oil and gas regime that, like our government, obsesses over Identity politics and use of preferred pronouns while Russia, Iran, Saudi Arabia, and China make carefully plotted moves to further their perceived interests. It will be a GOP landslide in November. Whether or not it’s Trump heading the GOP by the time presidential elections roll around, the next president will likely be Republican. I wasn’t a Trump fan but we didn’t have hyperinflation, wars, or race baiting under Trump. I’d far rather live in that world. At least they have an alternative in the US. If Canadians fear Polievre, who hasn’t said anything remotely racist or politically dangerous, then we know where we’ll probably land come election time. However, Canada in that case will be seen as another Cuba, an outlier leftist dictatorship. Your opinions that you think are conservative are Liberal as far as I can tell. I also think your opinions are the norm in Canada, so I’m not sure we’ll restore a centrist government and healthy opposition. It will be more apology parades, pay-outs to designated victim groups, implementation of universal basic income, vax passes, reduction of freedoms, exorbitant fuel prices induced by continued green crusades. etc. People will continue to have their liberty and finances squeezed to solve the “global climate crisis” and “public health crisis.” -
You want a CPC that’s identical to the Liberals. You want all the woke-green carbon taxes and anti-Canada rhetoric.
-
Did any of our allies make the opposition to vaccine mandates an unacceptable view? Did any of them freeze bank accounts of protesters and introduce martial law to remove them? You keep downplaying government overreach, which supports the overreach. You’re an apologist for authoritarian behaviour.
-
There are no opposition parties really in Canada right now. Opposition in Canada is painted as unacceptable and fringe. At least the Americans have an unabashed opposition. Our CPC struggles to maintain an alternative policy perspective to the government’s, because the population has been taught to fear opposition.
-
Yup keep defending BS if it helps you cope.
-
Yup keep your eyes closed. Hope you like your authoritarian country. The rest of the world sees it, including many Democrats. You’re so inured to your manipulation. Don’t worry, there are millions like you in Canada, which is why we’re losing our democracy. https://apple.news/AsMUNc8cUTzO1l8TOqqmt3g

You really don’t know anything about these people, do you? Have you ever listened to Joe Rogan? Many liberals support him, including John Stewart. Have you watched Tucker Carlson these last few months? Do you know about the exodus of Democrats from MSNBC and CNN? Do you know that more Democrats now watch Fox than either of those traditionally Democrat networks? Do you wonder why? Has it occurred to you that Fox at least presents the information shared outside of legacy media? You of course know nothing about the behind the scenes funding of Big Pharma and the interests of investors who slam Rogan. I’ve never even considered myself especially conservative, yet I’m aware of what’s happening culturally. Does it concern you that in Canada there are no views in television media that question government narratives? You’re blind to what’s happening like many people. You have a knee-jerk reaction to any opposition ideas. You and millions like you are the reason Canadians will probably keep Trudeau in power.

I hope so too. I wonder if Trudeau has enough humility to see how he has overstepped. With each day that he maintains vaccine mandates, after stamping out protests and unnecessarily applying the Emergencies Act, I can’t see this man as anything other than undemocratic and totalitarian. All the big voices of our time see it: Bill Maher, Jordan Peterson, Russel Brand, Bari Weiss, Kim Iversen, Elon Musk, to name just a few. We know the language Trudeau used to vilify the opposition: unacceptable views, racists, misogynists, fringe group, and “should we make a space for these people?”. While Ukraine has shifted the world’s attention, and no doubt the invasion of Ukraine is a crisis demanding immediate resolution, the actions of our federal government and the policies it continues to support must be called out and addressed. We have unjust federal policies in Canada now. Trudeau is too compromised to be taken seriously on the world stage and as the leader of a nation state. I hope these policies and approaches end before the next election. I hope the electorate see what must be done and change the government. I’m not sure that will happen. Canada may be the first modern western democracy of the 21st century to become authoritarian. Many Americans and Canadians do see what’s happening, but the Canadian opposition is constantly vilified by state-funded media and government. The Republicans in the US are dealing with their own internal threats to democracy. Much of the shift to government overreach happened on the excuse of a public health emergency, but the measures brought in to fight that waning threat still remain at the federal level, more so in Canada. Big tech is essentially reinforcing government narratives, making it harder for people to obtain accurate information. -

You’re just wilfully ignorant, but I understand how this happens. We’ve seen this kind of mass hypnosis before in 1930’s Germany, the Soviet Union, China, etc. Right now you’re cheering on the dictates. You think that oppressive policies are keeping you safe. You’ll persist in that belief until one day a very dark realization sweeps over you. Maybe you’ll know of a neighbour who didn’t want another vaccine and lost a job or you’ll be stressed out at the border, scrambling to get a test result to get back into your own country. Maybe you’ll find yourself agreeing with a protest that the government deems unacceptable and illegal. The problem is that, like millions of other blind followers, you will have already allowed such policies to become normalized. You’ll feel powerless and the only way to tolerate your situation will be to increase your level of denial. The stink of the oppression won’t go away, however, and each day you’ll wonder what new oppression will be levelled against citizens. -

You’re right that based on all official accounts, Russia has violated international law, invaded a sovereign country, and has harmed civilians, including killing. It must be stopped, Russia must leave Ukraine immediately, and the territorial integrity of the country and its regions must be established by the people who live there. It must include assurances for the safety and well-being of all minority groups. It must include assurances for the safety and integrity of neighbouring countries, including Poland, Russia, Belarus, etc. Basically there must be peace assurances across Europe. NATO must be an active force for protecting the peace. EU countries and Russia itself must commit to protecting the peace. Regions must always have the right to self-determination. No region should ever be used as a staging ground for unprovoked attacks against other regions or nations. The Ukrainian people must be protected. The UN should play a role here or I’m not sure why we have it.
