I am a dual citizen, my father raised me with the American Religion, I've always felt just as American as Canadian.

In the past, those two things were not in conflict.

It is simply the case that Canada and Canadians forced me to choose between  them.

    So I choose America First.

I none the less remain loyal to my oath to the British Crown in North America, I resist HM enemies and defend HM peace as a resident of British North America.

I have no fealty to Confederation and never did, nor was I ever bound to such, as Confederation is not a country, it's simply an agreement within the now defunct British Empire.

    What's your point ?

The Tories didn't lose because of climate change and LGBT.  They lost because they had a weak leader who was seen to be weak, and a crappy policy platform book that offered nothing of substance.

Scheer isn't viewed as a leader . . . . weak presentation of indefinable policies, combined with poor body language . . . .  He didn't look capable of delivering your evening paper.

    Predicting he's gone after a Leadership Convention . . . .

  3. The real head scratcher is why would a beautiful young American woman, Megan Markle . . . . give up her country and career to go and live in a shithole country of fog, fish 'n chips, bad teeth, pale complexions, and unfounded arrogance?   She could be cruising to a California beach in her Benz convertible, sunshine, hair blowing in the wind, milkshake in hand . . . . Just doesn't make sense.  Megan made a mistake, just like Diana did.  Hypnotic attraction to lizards?  Some folks here are also under the reptile spell . . . . sad.

If the UK ever decided to become a republic, and therefore obviously needing to change the name of the country, could Canada, Australia, New Zealand and a number of other countries where the British Monarch is the head of state of those countries too keep the British Monarch even if the institution ceased to exist? Would all those countries be forced to become republics as their head of state would exist no longer?

Begs the questions:  Why would any thinking population want to house/support an in-bred family of aliens?  What would the benefit be to the diverse resident home population?  Leave them in England. The English deserve them, adore them, get pissed on by them . . . . . while the rest of the world guffaws.  There's probably only a handful of residents in Canada who think that the British monarch is something special . . . .

    Academic? Thanks!!!

I'm a high school drop out, that has spent almost twenty years part time earning three certificates that amount to a four year degree, and still can't write with proper grammar.

If you equate asking you to express your opinion in logical form to 'academic' (don't know what fop means) not sure what to tell you.

You seem to be the only poster here that has a compulsive need to present your credentials . . . .  please tell us again how 'educated' you are.

My biggest problem with the Canadian government is that it's naive and inefficient. The Queen honestly to me, Is just a wealthy aristocrat who doesn't contribute to our political landscape. She's the biggest welfare case in the world.

Canada's case of chronic 'athletes foot' . . . . the queen  (small case q)

The people in charge have tried to change hockey into a skills game to gain respectability. It is, but it's not, because the people in charge are greedy and have expanded the league beyond the available skill talent. That means there's like half a dozen skilled people on each team and the rest are fillers.

Grapes doing a lacrosse commentary/show . . . . .  supposedly 'Canada's game'.  Lots of my Indian brothers play tough and mean. Let the 'sensitive new-age guys' (snags) have their politically correct hockey.  Just so you know, 'snags' are standing dead trees . . . they've lost their 'cones' and are good for fk'all.  Little bit of logger jargon . . .

Yeah he's commenting on all the South Asians he sees in Mississauga nowadays that don't wear poppy's and he doesn't like it. Those ungrateful people contributing to society without sufficiently paying respect to veterans.

And that has to do with Hockey how?

Did he mention "South Asians' . . . ?   Why are you trying to beat everyone over the head with your fucked-up assumption of what Don Cherry meant, rather than what he said.  Grow up fool.

I don't think they encouraged politically motivated tirades. They most certainly tolerated it. But no more. His treatment of the French and Europeans in the NHL is notorious. I guess the world finally left him behind.

Do you ever get tired of lighting your hair on fire?  Don Cherry commented on his observation. Nothing racist/bigoted about that. This country has been 'pussified' . . .everyone like you view themselves as a victim.  Get over yourself.

They take thread drift way to seriously. What fun is always staying on topic? If no one can be themselves, no one wants to be here. If they want more members to join, then let people have their own conversations. It's the middle of the night and I don't see anyone else joining this chat.

This site is over-moderated . . .. .  the ebb and flow of conversation is stifled.  Time-outs, demerit points, deletions, e-mail conformations, constant chiding, etc. make this site a ponderous proposition.

Well capitalism is natural income inequality, so what we need to be concerned about is unacceptable levels of income inequality.

I kind of want to get rid of the wage system, and go with a system, where everyone gets a percentage of the profits.... Then we have a debate over what percentage is acceptable.

"percentage of profits...."         Assuming that a "percentage of losses" would be included in your utopian plan ?

If America collapses, Canada collapses. Canadians rely too much on America for it's business dealings and jobs for Canadians, and have too much money invested in America. No matter what happens in the world, Canada is not prepared for any monetary disaster. All Canadians will then have to run to Elizabeth May to get her to show them all as to how to go about living in the bush. All those animals out there better find a good hiding place fast because you are surely going to end up being barbequed over an open fire pit if we catch you. I will be a Canadian here, and say that I am sorry, but we were left with no other choice but to hunt you down and eat you. I have kids too. Lol.

Most game animals will be safe . . . . . there'll be no guns.  Folks will be eating leaves like the moose do.  Don't eat the big leaves . . . . . you'll need them for ass-wipe.

    This country is fk'd

Im currently finishing my MBA part time.

I can only speak for myself, but since i was taught how to use the scientific method, I was able to use logic to discern between when teachers are teaching from opinion and not fact

Still doesn't change the fact that your shoes are on the wrong feet.

Andrew Scheer will never be PM . . . probably a nice guy,  just doesn't have the 'royal jelly' . . .
